Why the size in pixels of the img object is different from the East should be in canvas

I has an img object covered the 1440 px canvas, but he must watch 720 px (it should be the same size of the width of the of the Web) while I'm resize the object. Why? That bothers me because I'm designing website.

That 720 is based on the choice of the location of the dot; in this case, half of the total distance. Choose the point on the right (green arrow) and the amount will be 1440.

Note that if you choose the point furthest to the left the amount would suck

I have an image which is 700px, and when I import it comes to 160px to 100%? I have to jump up to about 300% so he could adapt my page layout? I triple check the size of pixels in Photoshop. InDesign give me rabies!

If you design for screen and that you don't want your images scale when you place them, save them to 72 dpi.

  • Why the same photo's file size different in Photos and in the Finder?

I have a photo size 4608 x 3456. When I open the file information in the Apple's Photos app, it says that the file is 7.8 MB. When I open the same photo in the Finder and look at the news file, it is said that it is 3.1 MB on the disk. Why does this happen? All other metadata is the same in the pictures, Finder, Lightroom or Photoshop, but I can't understand why the file size seems to have changed since I dragged photo pictures to the Finder.

  • Read the size in pixels of the camera

    Hello

is it possible to read the size in pixels of a digital camera by programming with IMAQdx?

    e.g. Basler acA1300-30um ace:

    Horizontal/vertical pixel size3.75 x 3.75 µm µm

    Thanks in advance.

    Thomas

    Hi Thomas,

If the seller has exposed this information as an attribute via their XML file is the only way to see that by programming. I looked at a few aces Basler I, and none of them seemed to have this information. They have an attribute called PixelSize, but refers to the bits per pixel and not the physical size. I skimmed the GenICam Standard characteristic Naming Convention to see if there is a feature of GenICam standard for what you are looking for and have not seen one. Unfortunately, it seems that you will not be able to get this information programmatically.

  • I need to create my images twice the size in pixels on a Retina display?

    Hello!

I stole this question to this thread: adobe photoshop - should I create my images twice the size in pixels on a retina display?-Graphic Design Stac...

I read it over and over again, and I'm still confused. Maybe someone here would be able to explain it better?

I don't have a computer screen Retina, but if I had one, I wonder how I would design my sites...

I understand the concept of double the size of the images to view the retina when designing on a computer that has a standard screen.

But according to the thread mentioned above, the same rule applies when designing on a computer screen Retina.

    How can this be?

    It's so confusing!

    Thanks again!

    Chris.

As web design is concerned, there no difference in the design of the image on one retina screen, another that they can appear a little less sharp compared to a standard screen. You really just need to focus on the pixel dimensions.

In the exchange of ideas, it seems that this feature will be available soon!

The info so that the image does not appear the size in megabytes of the image, but rather the number of megapixels. Megapixels do not directly translate to the size of the file. Right-click on the image and choose to display the image in the Explorer or Finder, depending on your operating system. Then you can see how big the file is in reality.

  • Why the font size is so great when adding text to the photo in high resolution?

Why the font size is so great when adding text to the photo in high resolution?

Font size is usually determined by the size in points. 72 points equal to 1 inch. the size is independent of the size of your actual file. You might have a file that is located at 72 dpi, which is set to a 5 X 7 "and the police would be the size even if it is a 1200 dpi image 5 X 7.

  • Size in pixels is disabled for the canvas settings

Hello. I'm not a total novice, web site design, but I'm pretty new to the specifics within Photoshop. I have recently downloaded a free trial of Adobe Photoshop CC 2015 and use it for a Web Skillcrush Designer course. I noticed that when I went to try the first project, the pixel sizing/scaling was turned off. I put my preferences to display units and leaders in pixels and went to create a canvas of 700px x 700px. However, even if my scale is set to 100%, size in pixels is certainly much smaller than it should be. I double and triple checked my settings, but I think that I can't do something good. I have redownloaded the program and it still does the same thing.

Here are some screenshots of my settings:

    screen-capture-4.png

    screen-capture-6.png

    screen-capture-9.png

This scale seems just totally turned off, but I see nothing else to do. I also tried to open a file of 700 x 700 and it displayed at this size as well.

Help, please! I would like to use Photoshop (and will need to complete this course), but am unable to go forward at this time. Thanks a lot for your time and help!

I know on my MBP retina an image at 200% on my screen, it's what others consider to be actual size.  I'm sure it's far from being a scientific comparison, but that generally seems to apply when I'm not working in PS.

  • Why the name of thumbnail and the size of info I used disappeared

Why the thumbnail name and size of info I disappear before and now it just shows the thumbnail? Also, at the same time the name of my folder disappeared to be replaced by a dark gray box semi transparent showing the namesuperimposed on the folder icon. How can I return just the name in the text and shown just below the thumbnail size?

  • Pixel dimensions and how it differs from the size of the file

Ihave this photographer who sends me a picture of a print document.

There he cropped to the correct size:

    Screen Shot 2015-05-29 at 11.27.15 AM.png

But, the image is grainy and I'm afraid it all there just resampled it. It is hung on the fact that it is of 74.6 M in this screenshot, but the file is a JPG of 10 MB. He repeats to me that image must be big enough, because he is 74.6 MB and I do not have "uncompressed" it properly.

So my question is, how I clearly explain how the Dimensions in pixels of 74.6 M is really different from a file that is 74.6 MB in size and is not really an indication of the image quality in this case? Or am I missing something, is there a way that I have to process this file so that it is high resolution enough for printing?

    Thanks for your help!

I really want to add to that. An easy way to see what jpeg compression is doing to an image is to enlarge your image and drag the slider down to 1 it does is "lumpy" colors together and in doing so, throwing the color information to get the size down.

You will see the "tuft" image as the file size goes down.

It does not change the number of pixels. If you open your file it will be 74 MB, and the pixel dimensions are the same quality 1 or 10 quality.

But the image will be "sick" to healthy and 1 to 10. You save space, but that's what you get.

Here's the "liquidation".  If you want to print, download a flat tiff file. In ancient times the modems and readers of 500 MB, jpeg may have made sense, but there are terabyte, DSL speeds and cloud like Dropbox storage disks. It's cheap send a uncompressed file ready to print.
