     Notes

     • If you do delete characters previously copied in the characters to copy box, they are copied as well as any new characters you select.

     • If a private character not properly displayed in a document, select the characters in the document and change its font so that it matches the font you linked to in the table of characters.

     • If you know the value of typing the special character you want to insert, you can insert special characters directly into your document using your keyboard. To do this, open the document and position the cursor where you want the special character to appear. Then, with Num lock on, press on and hold down the ALT key and press the keys on the numeric keypad that represent the value of typing the character you want to enter. After you finish typing, release the ALT key.

  How to search for a character by name?

  1. Click to open the character table.

• Click the font list, and then click the font you want to search in.

• Select the Advanced view check box.

• Click the character set list, and then click the character set you want to search in.

  If the desired character set is not available, choose a different font in the font list.

• In the search box, type all or part of the name of the character you are looking for. For example, to search for a Greek letter, type Greek, or to find all types of the Cyrillic character Je, type Zhe.

• Click on search.

  Character map displays the characters that match your search.

• To start a new search, click Reset.

  Tip

• To display the name of a particular character and its associated hexadecimal code, point to the character. When you click on the character, this information is also displayed in the status bar at the bottom of the character map window, and it can serve as an example of search terms, that you can use for further research.

How to search for a character by Unicode category?

1. The Unicode categories are used to group character types available in a similar font. For example, the currency Unicode category all currencies available for a font symbols.

2. Click to open the character table.

3. Click the font list, and then click the font you want to search in.

4. Select the Advanced view check box.

5. Click the group in the list, and then click Unicode row to open the Group By dialog box.

6. In the Group By dialog box, in the row list Unicode, click the category of characters to display.

   When you click a category, character map displays the characters that belong to this category.

7. When you find the character you want, click Select, and then click on copy.

How to search for a character by Unicode value?

1. Click to open the character table.

2. Click the font list, and then click the font you want to search in.

3. Select the Advanced view check box.

5. Click the group in the list, and then click all.

6. To go to Unicode box, type the four characters the character Unicode value.

   The character is automatically highlighted in the grid of characters.

   • In the table of characters, all characters in a specific font are displayed in the order of their Unicode value. If you don't know the Unicode value of the character you are looking for, you can also scroll through the characters in the font to find it.

  I don't know if I accidentally chose the wrong option when setting up my account, but the Adobe Application Manager seems to have all the text (with the exception of product names), in what I think, it's German, not English. Is there a way to fix this for future downloads if necessary?

  Given that support for Windows 8 ends, I'd do a 8.1 of Windows Installer Clean , following the procedure in step 4 to activate Windows 8.1 using a product key of Windows 8.  It gives the default product key to install, after which, you can use your key to activate.

  The 8024200d result code indicates WU_E_UH_NEEDANOTHERDOWNLOAD
  Update Manager did not install the update because it must be downloaded again.
  Suggest you download and Save the complete stand-alone package of Vista SP1.

  Links to the standalone versions are on this page because you validate that the edition of Vista is x 86 (32-bit) or x 64 (64-bit). You can see the architecture of the system of opening in the Panel and next to the search System system type: Windows Vista Service Pack 1 (SP1)

  Before attempting to apply the SP1 please consider this information-

  If you choose to install Windows Vista SP1 via the standalone installer available on the Microsoft Download Center, Microsoft recommends that you first check Windows Update and install all drivers in option. Read the Articles in the Knowledge Base 948187 and 948343 for more information.

  Suggest you to create a folder on the root drive (the drive where Windows is installed, usually C:\) and name SP1.
  Move the downloaded Service Pack in the newly created folder.
  Disconnect all the devices, printer, external USB hard drive, etc.

  Then, Configure the system starts in a clean condition
  After you restart the worm as a clean boot, apply SP1.

  Windows XP is no longer available.  You will need to purchase a 'Full Version' edition of Windows 7 and install it.  Windows 7 to be purchased from the Microsoft Store.

  It becomes a regular event, it also seems to restart in the middle of the night to set up these updates. I don't know what the intention but

  If you select the download updates but let me choose... option, no update will install without your approval. Suppose an update will require a reboot and does not approve the installation of an update until & unless you are ready to restart.

  You can change the AU for the "updates but let me choose whether to download and install them" setting. Once you have done this, you will need to approve the updates are downloaded, the updates are installed and where they are installed.

  I prefer "check for updates but let me choose whether to download and install them" setting.
