  • error when I try to send email

    OK, I promise you that this will be the last time for a while, I turn to you guys for help.

    I am trying to connect to an external smtp server using the bytearray class:

    var myMailer:SMTPMailer = new SMTPMailer ('outbound.mailhop.org', 2525);

    myMailer.authenticate ('password' 'login'( )

    myMailer.addEventListener (SMTPEvent.MAIL_SENT, onMailSent);

    / / event sent when the mail could not be sent

    myMailer.addEventListener (SMTPEvent.MAIL_ERROR, onMailError);

    / / event sent when SMTPMailer is correctly connected to the SMTP server

    myMailer.addEventListener (SMTPEvent.CONNECTED, onConnected);

    / / event sent when SMTP server has disconnected the client for different reasons

    myMailer.addEventListener (SMTPEvent.DISCONNECTED, onDisconnected);

    / / event sent when the client is successfully authenticated

    myMailer.addEventListener (SMTPEvent.AUTHENTICATED, onAuthSuccess);

    / / event sent when the client is unable to authenticate

    myMailer.addEventListener (SMTPEvent.BAD_SEQUENCE, onAuthFailed);

    myMailer.sendHTMLMail ( " ""[email protected]"""" " "[email protected]"" ", "test smtp" "< br > < b > HTML photo :) < /b >");

    It seems to connect very well, but when I try and send the email, this is the error I get:

    554 SMTP synchronization error

    I have never seen this error before, and when I try and google it it not is really not much info on what causes the problem or how to fix it.

    I've left speechless you guys before, but I hope that this is not one of these issues!

    Thank you

    Jorge

    Okay, that was weird. When I tried another smtp server, it seems fine. I think that the previous smtp Protocol wanted to use the ssl connection. Thanks for your help! _

  • What this means when I try to send from a Web site and "must be set to default e-mail client" expression. Where can I find and what I do to send emails through Web sites

    Where I put "default email client".  When surfer and needing to send an email from a Web site, this sentence comes in.  Thank you

    Hi Linda,.

    This means that you should choose a program to use by default, for Windows to know which program to use when you send an e-mail.
    You can set a default program by following the instructions in this link:
    If you don't have any e-mail program installed, you can download Windows Live Mail, which is free and can be downloaded here:

    The iPad itself is unable to send any text or SMS - it can do iMessage.

  • When I try to send an email to multiple recipients, I get this message: "there are non-ASCII characters in the local part of the address of the recipient. This is not

    I bought a new computer. When I try to send an e-mail to multiple recipients, now, I get this message: "there are non-ASCII characters in the local part of the address of the recipient. It is not yet supported. If please change this address and try again. "I don't know what are the non-ASCII characters, so I don't know what to do. I never had this problem on my old computer. Please explain in simple language.

    The 'local' part in the context of email addresses, the part to the left of the symbol @. The warning is a bit of a surprise, because in general the owner of a mail server is relatively free to specify the address format. There is a movement to allow the games to other characters to be used in the fields, so I'm a little disappointed to see that, apparently, e-mail does not support the latter in the local part yet or it can be your SMTP server that generates this message.

    ASCII characters ("American Standard Code for Information Interchange") are, on the whole, the English alphabet, uppercase and lowercase, as well as figures, common punctuation and case of things like the asterisks, obliques and media bars, but not of accented characters. But even apparently simple things like spaces and dashes have cousins who, at first glance, appear to be identical, but are not represented in the ASCII system. I am thinking especially nonbreaking spaces, dash and half-quadratin.

    But I don't know why your new computer must have caused these warnings.

    Ok thank you. I received three messages from you, two of the demon and the other Hotmail.

    Hotmail has helpfully includes the originating IP address, so I was able to check further. There is no WHOIS data for it (a bad sign to start), but it is not in the CBL. Read this page to see why it is listed and take the appropriate action. Once you are convinced that your computer - and another using the same network - are clean, you can use the link at the bottom of the CBL page to remove from the list the IP address.

    I still don't know where FCMA comes into it, and diagnostic tests in the NDR is incorrect. It is not the content of the message that is at fault, but I suspect that the block list.

    Good luck!

  • When I try to send emails with attachments, I get an error box.

    original title: Email problem

    I have a problem I hope you can help me with. When I try to send an email with attachments, opens an error window, but the green progress bar never ends. The details box is empty. The message passes through, but still in my out box. Small e-mails without attachment happen normally. Any suggestions?

    If you use Outlook Express, this is a common problem. You have apparent dbx file corruption.

    Spend most of your messages out of the Inbox and then create new folders to send and sent items box after having moved the messages you want to save to a local folder that you create.

    Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.

    In Windows XP, Win2K & Win2K3 the OE user files (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in Windows Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder Options icon | Opinion, or in Windows Explorer. Tools | Folder options | View.

    With OE closed, find the DBX files for the items in the Outbox and sent and delete them.  New ones will be created automatically when you open OE.

    After you're done, followed by compacting your folders manually while working * off * and do it often.

    Click Outlook Express at the top of the the folder tree so no folders are open. Then: File | Work offline (or double-click on work online in the status bar). File | Folder | Compact all folders. Don't touch anything until the compacting is completed.

    General precautions for Outlook Express:

    Do not archive mail in the receipt or sent items box. Create your own user-defined folders and move messages you want to put in them. Empty the deleted items folder daily. Although the dbx files have a theoretical capacity of 2 GB, I recommend all a 300 MB max for less risk of corruption.

    I get an Error Message When you try to send emails. "some errors occurred while processing the requested tasks. Please see the list of errors below for more details".

    But it sends the message anyway... multiple copies, and she also is put in the "Outbox" in Outlook Express as if it is not sent.

    To stop the email to be sent repeatedly to the recipient, I erase it from the "Outbox" but a) you don't know if they really got it) b it is embarrassing for the receiver c) is this a bug I can fix it?

    Thanks for any help.

    You have a corruption of dbx file easily corrected.
