wiaca00d. The PNF made this file?

My computer hangs on this file at a time to the top and Defender scan

Sorry for all this.

The PNF file is a precompiled setup information file. Windows creates a PNF for each INF file to facilitate the effectiveness of the treatment. A PNF file includes information about the content of the original INF file, and the name of the INF file and other attributes of the file. The installation program uses the PNF file instead of the original INF file.

The .pnf is an image (Portable Network Graphics) file

Driver scanner USB Canon (wiaca00d.inf)

I just checked my W7 32 bit PC.  The file is there, I performed a full scan with MSE, no problem.

It is possible that you have file corruption.  Just to be sure that you did not, please run a hard disk error check (chkdsk/r). It will take some time.

You can view the results in the Applications - Winlogon event log source.

  • Folder permissions in Windows 7 - a program that creates a file always has the authority to check the size of this file?

    Hello

Where I work, we have a phone call, saving application that creates records of calls as .wav files.

Before placing each record in long-term storage, the application creates a copy of the file (which is smaller) MP3 and then made a calculation of the free space to ensure that there is place in the long term for the newly created file storage.

As part of the application must check the size of the MP3 file that he had just created and - I thought - calculation of space under Windows 7 that determination of the size of the file is sometimes a failure.

(I think I understand, is that a .net function allows to determine the size of the file.)

    My query...

If an application has sufficient privileges to create a file in a folder on the drive C: of the PC default also always have the right to determine the size of this file?

Or are these two completely separate rights?

For example, is it possible to have with no other rights granted write access?

    Thank you very much.

The order of the questions, you asked:

    Yes

    Yes

    NO.

It is indeed possible to give the file 'write' - access to the account, but not 'read' - access. However, even in this case the account can determine the size of the file.

Log in under the account you are using for the conversion allows you to confirm my answers. To see the size of a file, use Windows Explorer or the Console command "dir".

    Hello

Some Firefox problems can be solved by performing a clean reinstall. This means that you remove Firefox program files (not the profile folder, where the bookmarks are stored) and then reinstall Firefox. Please follow these steps:

Note: You can print these steps or consult them in another browser.

    1. Download the latest version of Firefox from http://www.mozilla.org office and save the installer to your computer.
    2. Once the download is complete, close all Firefox Windows (click on quit in the file menu or Firefox).
    3. Remove the Firefox installation folder, which is located in one of these locations, by default:
      • Windows:

        • C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
        • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla Firefox
      • Mac: Delete Firefox in the Applications folder.
      • Linux: If you have installed Firefox with the distribution-based package manager, you must use the same way to uninstall: see Install Firefox on Linux. If you have downloaded and installed the binary package from the Firefox download page, simply remove the folder firefox in your home directory.
    4. Now, go ahead and reinstall Firefox:
      1. Double-click on the downloaded Setup file and go through the steps in the installation wizard.
      2. Once the wizard is completed, click to open Firefox directly after clicking the Finish button.

Please report back to see if this helped you!

    Hello

    1. which edition of Windows are you using? Is - this edition is 32-bit or 64-bit?

Given that the game is compatible with Windows 7, I suspect that the conflict can be 32-bit or 64-bit architecture.
The link below shows the compatibility of this game with Windows 7.

    Method 1.
We must ensure that the edition of the game must correspond with the operating system.
If you use 64-bit in this game, you need the 64-bit Windows to install it.
    Method 2.
If the above information matching I you recommend to start the computer in clean condition and then try to install the game.
See the article below for instructions on how to start your computer in a clean boot state.
How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

Note: When the diagnosis is complete, don't forget to reset your computer to normal startup. Follow step 7 in the above article.

    Hello malaglinskom,

In addition to what Azam offered, you may try the following:

If you are running Windows 7 Professional or Ultimate version, install Windows Virtual PC and Windows XP mode (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtual-pc/default.aspx) and run your software in Windows XP.

If you run Windows 7 Home Premium, try VirtualBox (www.virtualbox.org) or VMware Player (www.vmware.com), or any other software virtualization part 3rd and install a separate copy of Windows XP (family or professional edition) for this purpose. You can find the virtualization software free that will run on Windows 7 Home Premium.

  • WMP will open the VTS_01_1.VOB and stop at the end of this file

I don't know if this is the place to post this question, but it's here.

I created a web page that lists the cover images all my DVDs that I have on an external hard drive and each cover image is related to the first file VTS_01_1.VOB for this DVD.

I test page to see how it works for each device I have.  The page works perfectly with my tablet from Samsung, the player on the Tablet, I installed automatically go VTS_01_1.VOB, VTS_01_2.VOB and so on until the movie is done.

If I use my pc Windows 7, WMP will open the VTS_01_1.VOB and stop at the end of this file, how can I get WMP to continue to the next file automatically?

Personally, I would check the source code of the Web page of the first.

Paste the full path to the video_ts.ifo file in a new MS Word document and save it as htm.  Then run the file [it should open in your default browser], then right-click on the page and select view source.  Find the link - it should look like

    href ="... / SomeFolder/VIDEO_TS. IFO "> D:\SomeFolder/VIDEO_TS." IFO

assuming that D:\SomeFolder/video_ts.ifo is the text that is displayed for the link

Then go to your actual Web page and discover its source to verify that the link contains this model.

If the solution is not as simple as that, then you will need to post a question in the section Web & networks of this forum I don't know enough about writing for the Web page.

To increase the chances of getting there help please include a description of what happens when you try to click on the link - rather than 'will not work.

I understand that I am under a 64 bit OS, but is it possible to get this program to run? I was wondering if anyone has tips :)

    Hi Bcopeland,

Thanks for posting your question in the Microsoft Community.

Based on the information, you are trying to install and use an old ms - dos program based in Windows-7 Ultimate 64-bit.

The problem is a software that was created for Windows 95, 98, and Windows XP has no way to work correctly with an operating system that didn't even exist when the software was written. However, the error message you get normally means that you have a 32-bit software that you are trying to install on a 64-bit system.

You can check the compatibility of the program with Windows 7, in the Compatibility Center.

    Compatibility Center

If the program is not compatible, then you try to install and run the program in compatibility mode.

    a. click right on the program.

    b. click Properties.

    c. click on the tab compatibility.

    d. Select run this program in compatibility mode and select Windows Vista or whatever to use the system, the program was executed successfully.

Here is an article that gives you more information on this:

Make older programs in this version of Windows

If the problem persists, you can get in touch with the software vendor to see for the latest version of the program to use the same system of 64-bit Windows 7.

    Hope the helps of information.

If you need assistance in the future to resolve any issues related to Windows, post your query and we will be happy to help you.
