WiFi internal

I have a 500-281 with internal wifi Pavilion. Cell, T.v or my kindle connect to this wifi. It straightens my neighbors router. Thanks for any help on this.

It sounds more like a problem with the router on your kindle or a cell phone.

The phone and the kindle can not connect to your PC via wifi.

Have you tried to test with another router or reset you the current router?

    Hello!

Have you checked if you have a WiFi switch on your laptop? If you have such a change, you can buy and use an internal WiFi card.

You must use a WiFi card that supports the 802. 11b standard, for example Intel.

Of course you can search on eBay and a map of second hand too because some Satellite A30 was shipped with the wireless card.

  • Update internal laptop DV6500 Wifi N Wireless card?

    Hi all

I was looking to see if it was possible to upgrade my laptop wifi internal card a G wireless with a Wireless N card.  I would avoid making the USB card or expresscard because the expresscard is too expensive and you can't really find them much more, and just USB sticks out too far and use USB ports.  It seems that it is not difficult to do the physical replacement, I found the card looks like, it can be all just unscrewed and replaced.  However, after looking at some threads here and other observations and comments online, it seems you need to find just the right part to do, even if I did not really reach a concrete conclusion as to which is the right side and where.  It seems that HP is quite picky about what cards you can put in those laptops.

So my question is, if I want to do an upgrade of a Wi - Fi N, is there a compatible card to use my laptop?  Here are my specs:

    Laptop DV6500z

    AMD Athlon X 2 64 1.8 gHz processor

    4 GB of ram

    Windows 7 32 bit

Wi - fi + bluetooth (which is another question, is bluetooth built-in wifi module or is separated in this laptop?)

I looked at the maintenance and Service of Guide (http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c01295877.pdf), and he mentions on the bottom of page 4 top of page 5, the types of wifi modules.  It shows a few Intel ones and some Broadcom ones.  In my hardware device manager it appears as a Broadcom 802.11 g network adapter.  On the module itself, it does not seem to show a lot of additional information...  It simply shows the part number 441090-001.  After watching this pn in HP partsurfer, I get the following description:

    Wireless 802. 11 b / g mini PCI card (Broadcom, Hoya) adapter - 54 Mbps data rate

So which PN I get at this level to WiFi N?  Thank you!

  • Satellite A30 - 303 install wireless mini PCI card internal

    Hello
I am installing a PA3300U (Atheros) mini PCI WiFi internal card and have a basic question that I hope someone will be able to answer. There are two cables, white and black (under the cover of the wireless card on the case) which I suppose are for the internal antenna. The question is where do these attach to on the mini-PCI card (unfortunately I have no instructions for the card mounting)?
I'll be very grateful for any assistance with this.
    Best regards, Dave.

    Hello

I don't actually see one of the Atheros cards, but on other brands, there are two connectors that are marked with the HAND and to THE.
A white cable normally goes to the HAND and a black to the auxiliary voltage

    Concerning the Levil:

Go to control panel > network and... > network connections

Select "Wifi internal" & right click

    Select "Properties".

Select "Internet protocol v4" & click 'properties '.

Change get an IP... to set

    Put 169.254.1.8 in the address

Click on "subnet mask" and must fill it with 255.255.0.0

OK go out the Control Panel on

Go to wireless, and then select the Levil (WiFly-GSX-xx)

See if it needs to connect (TCP 169.254.1.1 on TCP 2000)

PS will have to put back "Obtain IP automatically" to connect to any other network.

PPS is probably one of the broadcom parameters that blocks. Normally a PC by default 169.254.x.x when there is no connection.

  • 21 Pro slate - Gets the IP address but no Internet connectivity

    Hi all

I have a slate of 21 Pro with no internet connectivity at home.  The device gets an IP via DHCP on cable networks or wireless, but when you try to browse or access resources on the internet, it simply expires. I tried also to assigning a manual IP address without success. If I take the tablet in a café local wi - fi, it connects fine, but I can't make it work at home. My ISP is Baja broadband, a 50MB / 5MB cable connection LAN details below:

    * Arris T822G cable modem - no. ISP-condition, ability of routing and firewall, just a regular old modem

    * Cisco/Linksys E3000 router wifi - internal network gets NAT'ed here. not about filtering, fancy

    * Switch 24 port managed gigabit Netgear

I tried bypassing the internal network and connect the slate 21 Pro directly to the modem Ethernet cable through cable. Same problem - it gets an IP (a public IP address in this case), but does not connect to all websites. HP sent me a replacement unit that shows exactly the same problem. Both units work very well at coffee wi-fi.

(OS is Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. I could take the unit to the WiFi Café and see if there are updates available OTA if anyone thinks that might help).

I am an engineer network with HER 25 years of experience. My home network is a mature network without problems. Connected to this network and works perfectly are: 2 iPhones, a Roku box, a smart LG TV, 2 Macs, Windows PCs 4. already had 2 HP Touch tablets, which were also very good. Home visits can connect their phones and tablets to our wi - fi without any problem. It's * just * slate 21 Pro, which is bad.

    I'm puzzled. Any ideas?

    Thank you
    Steve

UPDATE: it's resolved. I found that I was able to gain access to Web sites by IP address, but no host name. There was something wonky with the DNS server provided by the ISP. Once I substituted another DNS server in the IP configuration, it works.

    Weird!

The Argentina computer prices are the same or higher than in the United States / UK. Currently, the Argentina are withdrawing their pesos in banks and convert them into physical dollars in fear of a Government action that would of devaluation of the peso or freeze their assets. It is a problem, the Government must take seriously as currency in U.S. dollars is not the best investment when, in fact, the U.S. dollar is a decline with the recession goes to the United States. In fact, all the savings of the Argentina is in the restoration (great quality and cheap!), rent (to a lesser extent) and other domestic products from what I've heard. Just be sure to have on hand two types of Argentina electric adapters for your laptop computer power inverter (transformer) to connect the plugs of 220v Argentina.

  • SG300. installation aid

    Hello

So here is my current setup & I'll type this out better than I can.

I have a modem from my ISP (1 ethernet port) which is running on DHCP & a Cisco Asa5505 who is doing DHCP for my devices connected to my layer 2 switch the 192.168.1.x subnet & a just cheap WAP do wifi internal.

I recently bought a SG300 - 10 p that circumstances would require me to connect a 2nd ASA and would need a 2nd port to the outside world for work (what they would give me a WAP & IP phone). Has changed & I currently do not know where to go from here insofar as all snap & Im fairly new to the network.

I converted the Layer 3 switch and the latest firmware. I have Setup several VLANS on the switch & DHCP for each Vlan.

    192.168.2.0 network PC

    192.168.3.0 network server

    192.168.4.0 network wireless

    192.168.5.0 network Wifi comments

I have Setup Port 10 as an uplink to the layer 2 switch allow to VLAN 2,3,4. I still need to configure the switch of layer 2 with the information of Vlan, if I can score some ports to get the right IP addresses.

I have Setup Port 3 as a trunk for Vlan 4 and 5 (I have to configure the WAP more late which is pretty easy).

    Here's where I'm stuck:

Currently my SG300 - 10 p is configured with an IP address of 192.168.1.x

It would be more logical to have the ASA as my router connection between the Modem and the SG300 - 10 p of the 192.168.1.x network, or I would be better to have the modem plugged into the SG300 - 10 p then have the ASA on one of the ports? One day, I wish I could use my 5505 so that I can VPN into my network (a ball of wax) quite different for another weekend.

I would like to have all the networks have access to the Internet.

I want to limit the wifi network invited to see the other networks other than the Internet.

I think that covers pretty well and I want to just make sure I get configured right and all connected directions correctly. Any help or suggestions are appreciated. I want to make it as easy as possible with the best solution for scalability if work decided to give me another SAA again.

    Thank you

    Don

I'd go modem > ASA > SG300. The SG300 should have a default route to the ASA and ASA will need roads for each subnet pointing the SG300 so that he knows how to get back. I hope that helps you in a certain direction.

  • Reentry network through firewall

    Hello

We have installed a rv220w of cisco for customers who use to have a simple linksys router and are some difficulties in her setting. Here's what we're trying to accomplish:

    (1) we try to see cameras in an office using the iphone.

    (2) with the linksys, recall the iphone application on the dynamic dns account of manufacturers which was followed by the ip address on the office. In turn, linksys has 3 ports passed to the camera controller. Everything was great.

    (3) then, we installed a cisco rv220w and what happens is when the iphone is outside the internal network (3 G) it works fine. If the owner comes back to the office and connects to the local wifi that he can no longer connect to the camera controller. If he types in the local ip address of the controller, it works very well but we do not seem to go on the internal network, connect to the ddns server and then come back. It is only a matter if there 3G and wifi internal network.

    (4) if it is on a different WiFi and 3 G it works fine.

    (5) how do I configure the router to allow me to go outside the network, then redirect me back with two antennas on?

Not sure if this makes sense. Hope someone can help out me. Here are the parameters that we used.

    Linksys:

Transfer tcp port 81 to 192.1681.200 (Controller)

Transmit port tcp 41790 to 192.168.1.200 (Controller)

Transmit tcp 1025 to 192.168.1.201 port (server ip video)

It worked without fault of his weather iphone 3G (cellular network) or wifi or both.

    Cisco rv220w:

Custom services controller1 tcp port 81 to 81

Custom services tcp port 41790 to 41790 controller2

Custom services Ipserver 1025 to 1025 tcp port

Controller1 before service port to 192.168.1.200

Controller2 before service port to 192.168.1.200

Ipserver before service port to 192.168.1.201

We have also fiddled with different rules and not luck. Is what we are trying to do with this router?

One last note: we have installed Access cisco AP-541 points in a cluster. No settings have been changed on the access points and I think that it worked well with the linksys installed but will have to check.

    Tim

Tim, it looks like you're trying to pin hair. Hair pinning, is when you have a computer on the local network to the router and you try to access a resource using the public interface.

There is a question open and known on the 1.0.3.5 trying to pin hair using a DDNS from the local network. Try to use the port number: IP address and see if it works.  The RV220W has a long history of hair questions pinning. PIN hair issues were supposed to be solved on the 1.0.3.5 firmware.

  • It is possible, replace the antenna internal wifi iphone 5s?

  • Would I be charged for international calls if I have friends in another country if we use the two wifi?

I have a friend who is in Germany, and I was texting and facetiming him large amounts of time. Would I get charged for using wifi or is it free?

Yes, texting, you will be charged for an international SMS, iMessage & FaceTime won't if you use only a wi - fi connection. You can only iMessage and FaceTime with other iOS device. So, since it is another iOS device, if you use iMessage (a bubble of blue text), then that is just data and would not result in not international calls. FaceTime, using a wi - fi connection, once again is just data, and incurs no international calling rates.
