Win 7 - Wondows 2003 Server

This new HP computer running Windows 7 Business Pro x 64.  I have a workgroup, and a homegroup.  The Working Group, there is a computer that is running Windows Server 2003.  I can see some folders in it but cannot acess files into it.  I get the message: "Windows cannot access \\MARS2\Downloads.  "You don't have permission to access \\MARS2\Downloads.  Contact your administrator needs access network. "I am logged in as"Larry. "  On the Windows Server 2003 server it is a "Larry" with the same password and is a member of the "Administrators" group and the Windows Server 2003 is part of the working group.  This has been an area, but is now a working group.  What Miss me?  Please send a copy to {deleted personal information} thanks,

Larry

Thank you.  Yes, file and printer sharing were lit.  The solution was that when they asked permission, they requested an account on the machine in question (what I had).  Under permissions, that one is supposed to enter the account on the machine in question, that is, \\MARS2\Larry, not the account duplicated on the computer that requires access to the file (\\LMRWKSTN10\Larry) that I had done.  Finally, I changed a lot of them to 'All' I didn't so not cope.  It is my understanding that the 192.168.x.x is not routable from the outside anyway.  When you switch from a domain to a workgroup, apparently there is no central authority for permissions.

    Hello

Operating system of the server on a laptop?

May I ask why you want to do this? I don't see a reason for this and portable isn't designed for server systems.

In addition, Windows 2003 Server is based on Windows XP and Qosmio F60 and XP no driver available is. It supports Windows 7 only
Therefore, search all the drivers yourself on external pages if you really want to do this.

  • Installation of Windows 2003 Server on Tecra

I bought a Tecra Toshiba last month and since we are a team of developers, we decided to convert it to a server and Windows Server 2003 installed in the process I lost all the drivers (I forgot to backup the drivers).
Available drivers are for windows XP, how can I get the drivers from the server on my PC because it is useless, because we can't even connect to the network.

The ideas and the links will be appreciated.

    Hello

First of all, all Toshiba drivers you will find on the page of the Toshiba driver.
Also Toshiba does not have portable computers with a Windows Server operating system.
It supports only a Win XP and other Windows OS to the common address.
In this case you will find all the drivers for Win 2003 server.

I recommend you LAN card and try to get the driver for card LAN card manufacturers form the LAN.

  • Need help for JO HP 8500 all in one printer on home network OS Windows 2003 server a.

I have a new HP OJ 8500 has everything in a printer connected wireless to my local network.  I have internet access using the printer, can access the printer using a wireless iPod and can see the printer on the Modem / Router using Windows Explorer using the computer with the Windows 2003 Server operating system.  However, I can't access the printer using "Add a printer" in Server 2003.  In addition, the disc that came with the printer does not load printer installation information.  The message was "printer not supported using this operating system.  Help will be greatly appreciated!

    Hi mwcuff,

There is no driver for Win Server 2003. The only thing I can suggest is to make an addition, a printer and refer them to the CD that came with the printer to see if it will load a basic driver.
