Win7 genuine Validation. Ok

I have this OEM Win7 64-bit. It is NOT active, but because the first time I have installed on this PC the HD has not 2 days after installation. So I decided to run the test before enabling it to ensure that the system hardware is solid and will cause no problem more full 30 days.

I was actually running it for three months in this way. The HD formatting when there was less then a week left and put it back. 3 times now and with the updates.

Today... curious, I ran www.microsoft.com/genuine/validate/ and it came "Welcome to Windows...» Installed on your Windows PC is genuine... »

And verification to control Panel\All Control Panel Items\System, it says that I still have 13 days to activate.

So the question is when I activate my copy I will be able, without any problem, because I ran the tool of "genuine validation"?

The brand tool using not the system somehow did it?

Especially curious.

Yes, because the activation of Windows 7 is still in a State of grace period, even when the grace period runs out and you apply the product key after, you will be able to activate Windows.

Click Start, right click on computer

Click on properties

Scroll down to the Windows Activation

Click on the link 'change product key '.

Enter the product key located on the COA sticker attached to the bottom of your laptop or in the battery compartment. Click next to activate via the Internet.

  • Genuine Validation tool causes error

After downloading the update # KB 949810 Windows Genuine validation tool yesterday at the opening of Word/Excel (Office 2003) I get the message that the copy of Windows is not genuine.

However, it is true that I have the original installation CD and updates the previous genuine Validation, last year did not cause this problem. It is not possible to remove the update from Add/Remove Programs if anyone has any suggestions on how to overcome the problem?

You have an installation made from a set of recovery discs Dell on a Hewlett-Packard machine.

This facility has NOT been made using appropriate media and it is likely that this is what is causing your problems.

I can't remove Microsoft Genuine Validation of my computer?

It ensures that your copy of windows is genuine, to prevent people from piracy. It is not necessary to remove it, it shouldn't take much place.

  • So, Windows does not pass genuine Validation

I have a four-year-old computer on which Windows XP was installed when I bought it.  In recent weeks, at the start, I get a message that Windows failed the genuine validation and Security Essentials will be disabled within 30 days if I do not resolve the problem.  The message then sent me to a Web Site where I can get genuine Windows.  I got the Windows on this computer program because I bought and have been using Security Essentials since it became available.  Why this problem is suddenly surfacing?

    Hi Cliff999,

    1. were you running any hardware or software changes on the computer?

Try the steps from the link below and check off the results: you are prompted to activate Windows XP or Windows Server 2003, each time that you start the computer: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/312295

If this step does not resolve the problem, you can post your request in the Sub forum for assistance: http://social.microsoft.com/Forums/eu/category/genuine

Yes the sticker of the product keys match the diagnostic report. I've been running this product for more than two years and now all of a sudden it is not valid?
I recently had a problem with hard drive with this machine and had to reinstall the system and restore data from a backup. Is it possible that this has some how changed the PID at the origin of this problem?

If I have no choice but to buy a new OS can spend to Win 8 or will I run into a question?

As I said before, "No matter how long he ran 'okay'..." »

Copies MSDN work very well - until Microsoft discovers that they have been used in a way not scheduled (they are sold by unscrupulous people who probably to sell at an attractive price in comparison to other copies - a lot of people don't care about questioning why they might be cheaper.)  Others may sell at the same price and make more money before disappearing).

You have an MSDN copy.  Your PID has not been changed by restoring the backup.  ;-)

You can try changing your product key of Windows 7 than on the sticker:
    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/osproductkeys/HT/change-Windows-7-key.htm

Then try to activate by phone:
    http://www.SevenForums.com/tutorials/18715-activate-Windows-7-phone.html

And come back to report to what past.

What operating system do you have on the laptop before? You can get a Windows 8 upgrade for that - but I would not honestly - recommend it because the difference is quite obvious and you haven't checked your software and hardware is supported on Windows 8, I know. My recommendation for Windows 8 is to use * if * the system you have came from the manufacturer with it pre-installed. :-)

  • Why Windows Genuine Validation code is not available?

I upgraded to Win7 Pro, then tried to download XP Mode. It compels me to do a validation of Windows. It will download the file GenuineCheck.exe. When I run it, I get the following error:

    Windows Genuine Advantage

Code is not available. the validation code could not be obtained. This is perhaps due to technical difficulties, or you may be runing an unsupported operating system. Please close this window and try again the validation process or use the back button in your Web browser to return to the Download details page. [Error code: 0x80072f07]

I rebooted and go through this process several times, all with the same result.
It is an ASUS CM1831 system has a processor AMD FX-8120 with Win7 installed originally.

How to do this? If I can't go past this message, how to download XP Mode?

    Hi Philippe,.

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

I understand from the information you have provided to us, you are facing problems with Windows Genuine advantage in Windows 7. I will certainly help you in this matter.

I would say allowing you to run the Microsoft Genuine Diagnostics tool then copy and paste the results into an answer here for further analysis:

  • Error 0xc8000247; Cannot run Win Update in Win 7, also to receive Windows is not genuine Validation Code: 0x8004FE21

I am running Win7 32 on a Dell laptop. Last week my hard drive failed, I replaced and restoring a backup. Everything works fine, but I started to have a 'not genuine' warning, even if the properties of the computer system is activated. I reinstalled the product key and a message of successful validation. Now, trying to run Win Update, it crashes. I tried to run the system update readiness tool, but received the error 0xc8000247. Read the other threads, I went to install Intel Rapid Storage drivers, but found that I do not run any of the supported controllers. OK, so what I do now? Here is my WGA report. Thanks in advance for any help.
