So, Windows does not pass genuine Validation
I have a four-year-old computer on which Windows XP was installed when I bought it. In recent weeks, at the start, I get a message that Windows failed the genuine validation and Security Essentials will be disabled within 30 days if I do not resolve the problem. The message then sent me to a Web Site where I can get genuine Windows. I got the Windows on this computer program because I bought and have been using Security Essentials since it became available. Why this problem is suddenly surfacing?
Hi Cliff999,
1. were you running any hardware or software changes on the computer?
Try the steps from the link below and check off the results: you are prompted to activate Windows XP or Windows Server 2003, each time that you start the computer: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/312295
If this step does not resolve the problem, you can post your request in the Sub forum for assistance: http://social.microsoft.com/Forums/eu/category/genuine

Windows does not pass the Windows logo screen at startup
Original title: computer Dell does not start
Now, he gets to the Windows logo screen and will not get any further. I tried to repair windows startup and restore among other things. Previously, he was to reach the blue screen and would occasionally work by me it turn off and try again.
Restart your computer and hit F8 repeatedly (once a second should be enough) until you see the menu Advanced Startup Options. Select repair your computer (if this option does not appear you have to start from the Windows recovery disc or the installation disc).Then select System Recovery Options and run the Startup Repair tool.http://bit.LY/9rV2SB -
the windows boot configuration data file does not contain a valid entry os
Hello
I got this message when recovery... I can't get the windows... I have the CD recovery, but when I boot it... It gives me this message
the windows boot configuration data file does not contain a valid entry os
How do I solve this problemHello
Assuming that it's just a problem with the recovery media, here's another solution, you can try.
Before you try the following, make sure that you can always read the character product activation key 25 on your label Windows COA (5 blocks of 5 alphanumeric games).
An example of a COA label can be seen here.
You can create a Windows 7 installation disc yourself using another PC - just download the good Disk Image ( it must be the same version that originally shipped with your laptop - IE if your laptop comes with Windows 7 Home Premium, that is the file you need to download ) from the link below and use an app like ImgBurn to burn the ISO correctly file on a blank DVD - a guide on the use of ImgBurn to write an ISO on a disc is here. The source of the Image is - Digital River.
Use the disk to perform the installation, enter the activation key of Windows on the label of the COA at the request and once the installation is complete, use ' 'phone Method' described in detail in the link below to activate the operating system -this made method supported by Microsoft and is popular with people who want to just have a new installation of Windows 7 without additional software load normally comes with OEM installations.
http://www.kodyaz.com/articles/how-to-activate-Windows-7-by-phone.aspx
All pilots additional and the software you may need are located by entering your full model number or Nr here.
Kind regards

I don't know what else to add, it's an HP computer and I've had it for 3 years. the hard drive has become corrupted and I replaced it and now windows 7 Home premium that I bought from best buy does not recognize as valid product code. What now?
Skip entering your product key Windows 7 and complete the installation.
When you reach the desktop, click Start, right-click on computer
Click on properties
Scroll down to the Windows Activation
Click the link x days before activation.
Click on the link that says: "show me other ways to activate.
Enter the product key
Click next
Select the Activation of the phone
Click Next when you enter your key page
Select your country
Click Next, call the number listed
Be sure to explain your situation to the Appeals Officer.
Provide the installation generated when ID requested by the call agent
They give a confirmation ID in return, enter it
Click next to complete the activation.
However, the requirements for the media upgrade is that you have an operating system already eligible such as Windows XP or Vista installed to use it. Since the Windows 7 end user license agreement.
15 UPDATES. To use upgrade software, you must first be licensed for the software that is eligible for the upgrade. After the upgrade, this agreement takes the place of the agreement for the software that you upgraded. After upgrade, you can no longer use the software that you upgraded.
So, if you are always denied, you will just have to reinstall Windows XP or Vista and let it do the verification of eligibility.

Partition table does not have a valid system partition
I am working on a Dell XPS 420 computer for a customer. She has Windows Vista installed on it (not sure what version of Vista).
He's doing a loop, wherever it loads to the point where I can see the bottom and the mouse, but it stops there. After 5 minutes of him sitting on this screen, it restarts, I can't access one of the Advanced menu F8. I tried Safe Mode, and after that it loads the crcdisk it restarts, it does with Safe Mode, Mode safe mode with networking Mode and safe mode with command prompt. I can't use the last known configuration because it will just try to load and eventually restart.
Things I've tried is that I ran a diagnosis of hard drive and memory, and they both pass.
I tried the repair with the regedit option and load the system hive in the registry.
I tried the bootrec command.
Well I put in a disk for Installation of Vista and choose the repair option. I did the auto diagnosis and repair option (first choice I think) and I checked the report after he finished saying that it fixes itself and needed to restart (which he did not in fact)
Well the result that came was that the Partition Table does not have a valid System Partition.
I tried the bootrec command, and they all said it has repaired but it did not, when I tried to do the bootrec /rebuild he gave me the message "element not found".
I ran a test diagnosis system and I received the following message
System test
error code 0146
Msg error code 2000-0146
MSG HDD 0 - self-test log contains previous errors. Given the code and can be used by the support message technology guide to help diagnose the problem.be honest, I just need to know if I need to replace the hard drive or not, it's for a customer.
I did not see if the HDD is set to AHCI or SATA in the bios again, but I will when I get home today, but I would like some answers backup.
Hi countryboyofal,
I suggest that you contact Dell support for the outcome of the diagnostic system.
I hope this helps!

Firefox for Mac does not recognize a valid SSL certificate
Firefox for Mac does not recognize the SSL certificate that is valid for this site, I got: https://www.georgeglazer.com. It gives a warning "not reliable." However, the Firefox for Windows does not give a warning. This happens even if I clear the cache and it happens in the Mavericks and OS of Yosemite. The certificate is up-to-date and with Comodo. Firefox for Mac is now the only browser producing these errors (v. 39, put updated) - Internet Explorer, Safari and Chrome are not. Our hosting provider has said it's probably a browser issue, perhaps having to do with intermediate certificates in Firefox being obsolete. I really hope you'll solve the problem, as it's annoying for us when we're going to do right by our customers and pay for the SSL certificate. I have attached a picture of the warning and the other from what you see on a PC: a pop-up that says it is a verified SSL certificate and gives details about the issuer, the period of validity, etc.
COMODO should you sent a link to download the file 'bundle' containing the intermediate certificates. Who needs to go in the same directory as the certificate of your site. If you are using a control panel, your host can probably help with this process. And if you bought through them, shame on them for not taking care of this for you already!

Equium M40X: I get to the banner of Toshiba, but Windows does not start
When I start my 2 year old Toshiba Satellite M40X, I get to the banner of Toshiba, but Windows does not start. I tried using the recovery CD and it does not either.
Any suggestions as to what could be the problem?
Hello
What do you mean with the banner of Toshiba? Did you mean the Toshiba splash screen that appears at the begging of the boot?
Equium M40X successfully passed this screen?
If the laptop is unable to switch to the home Toshiba screen then I presume that the BIOS has detected a hardware problem.
In this case primarily the motherboard failsBut if the laptop is able to spend the Toshiba start screen, the motherboard must be ok and only a 3rd device malfunction as HARD drive could cause this problem.

Follow these steps to try to solve your problems of boot.
Restore point:
http://www.howtogeek.com/HOWTO/Windows-Vista/using-Windows-Vista-system-restore/
Do Safe Mode system restore, if it is impossible to do in Normal Mode.
Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.
Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...
Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.
http://www.windowsvistauserguide.com/system_restore.htm
Read the above for a very good graph shows how backward more than 5 days in the System Restore Points by checking the correct box.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If the system or Mode restore safe work not and you do not have a Microsoft Vista DVD, make a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:
Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.
Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.
When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial148.html
Link above shows what the process looks like and a manual, it load the repair options.
NeoSmart containing the content of the Windows Vista DVD 'Recovery Centre', as we refer to him. It cannot be used to install or reinstall Windows Vista, and is just a Windows PE interface to recovering your PC. Technically, we could re-create this installation with downloadable media media freely from Microsoft (namely the Microsoft WAIK, several gigabyte download); but it is pretty darn decent of Microsoft to present Windows users who might not be able to create such a thing on their own.
Read all the info on the website on how to create and use:
http://NeoSmart.net/blog/2008/Windows-Vista-recovery-disc-download/
ISO Burner:http://www.snapfiles.com/get/active-isoburner.html
It's a very good Vista startup repair disk.
You can do a system restart tool, system, etc it restore.
It is NOT a disc of resettlement.
And the 32-bit is what normally comes on a computer, unless 64-bit.
See you soon.
How install .man files or other files that Windows does not recognize?
I found my own answer. I write just in case someone else has a similar problem.
I tried to install the software on my computer that was supposed to be a "msi" file and installed as a file ".man". Basically, Windows does not recognize some types of codes that install files can install as. Microsoft Help and chat live did not help, so I called my dad and the solution is relatively simple: change the type of file manually.
1) go to control panel
(2) search of Folder Options and open it.
(3) uncheck Hide file extensions
(4) go to which the file was saved (make a copy of it to the case where)
(5) change the endpoint in .msi or your type of file of choice
6} window opens asking if you want to change the file type, and then click ok.
I hope this helps someone as lost as I was!
Thank you
Bradley
Well, .man is not a valid file for installers type, so now the question is why the hell gave you a .man as installation file first. You can inform the place you have setup of.
