Windows 2003: Explorer does not properly without remote desktop

The following image shows the screenshot of Windows Server 2003, when connected using Remote Desktop connection, using the administrator account.

If I connect without Remote Desktop, means going directly in my server room, and then log on by using the same administrator account, as you can see in the following screenshot, no office, no taskbar. But, I can press Ctrl + Alt + Delete to run the Task Manager.

I have to wait very long for the office and the toolbar displayed. The problem occurs only when not using remote desktop to open a session.

How to solve this problem, without having to reinstall Windows?

  • The mouse does not work in Remote Desktop

I have a Win 7 64 bit Pro computer desktop that I try to run Remote Desktop to connect to my server Windows Home Server 2011. When I log in, my server's desktop is visible and I can see and move my mouse but when I left click of the mouse, nothing happens. Then if I click right, menu contextual office does not, but it is in the lower left corner, whenever I do a right-click No matter where I click. When the context menu displays and I hover over an element, it is not derivative of blue as it should. So basically just mouse doesn't work at all on the remote desktop.  However, the keyboard works.  I can click on the Windows key to bring up the menu start and use the arrow keys to navigate in it.

Everything works fine on the server if I connect directly into it with the mouse and keyboard. I should also mention that exactly the same thing happens if I try to use remote desktop to connect to my Win 7 notebook Home Premium 64 - bit on my Windows 7 Pro Office above.

And finally, if I use remote desktop to connect from my laptop or desktop to my Win XP Pro system at work, everything works perfectly fine. So is this something with the connection to a system Win 7 or WHS 2011? Any help appreciated. Thank you.

I thought about it.  I had this program that runs on the server that reverses the mouse.  This is necessary, since I use a trackball turned 180 degrees for better comfort and "sakasa" mouse to use for the release of the mouse.  But I didn't need on the server and the system office.

  • WIndows, internet Explorer does not not after the attempt to update windows

Windows stops responding and lights that shows cpu works doesn't Flash at all.
Whenever I try to use windows update, my computer crashes while updating. I stopped to automatic update for some time and windows was working fine, 2 days ago I try to update manually, it blocks. now, the computer runs very slowly and each time I use internet explorer, my computer crashes. I tried to use system restore to restore the computer to the date before I use window update, but nothing helped. my computer crashes around 5 minutes after it is on.

    Hello

Updates are closely related to IE.

Try these and it can also be a good idea to update your main drivers later. The General corruption can also play a
role in this issue. And even the TCP/IP stack might need to be refreshed.

What antivirus/antispyware/security products do you have on the machine? Be one you ALREADY had on this
machine, including those you have uninstalled (they leave leftovers behind which can cause strange problems).

If no joy there's something blocking perhaps.

Start - All Programs - Accessories - System Tools - IE with no Addons - what works best?

IE - Tools - Internet Options - Advanced - tab click on restore, and then click Reset - apply / OK

IE - Tools - Internet Options - Security tab - click on reset all default areas - apply / OK

Close and restart IE or IE with no addons

    not better?

IE - tools - manage Addons (for sure disable SSV2 if it is there, it is no longer necessary but Java always install
"(and it causes problems - you never update Java to go back in and turn it off again)." Search for other possible problems.

Windows Defender - tools - software explore - look for problems with programs that do not look right. Permit
are usually OK and "unauthorized" are not always bad. If in doubt about a program to ask about it here.

Could be that a BHO - BHOremover - free - standalone program, needs no installation, download and run - not all
are bad, but some can cause your question (toolbars are BHO).

  • Windows 7 Magnifier does not properly

I just downloaded Windows 7 yesterday. I was playing with the magnifying glass today and I chose the option "dock". Now it won't let me not deselect the option dock no matter what I try. What can I do to fix this so that I can use the magnifying glass in other ways instead of just in the dock? Also, I noticed that when I restart my computer, and then try to open the Magnifier for the first time after reboot, I get an error message saying that the Office is not working properly and it stopped (it's something like that, I'm not sure of the exact wording of it).

  • Windows Photo Viewer does not properly after installing Spyder 4 Express

I installed Spyder 4 Express.    Open photoshop and got message this - original use - incorrect color profile so used original and all the images look OK.   But the photos opened through Explorer files (correct thumbnails), but when I preview with Windows Photo Viewer, the images are all very tinted orange.    I then removed Spyder 4 Express hoping to remove the colour profile info, no luck.   All other photo in other software and wallpaper moniter views are correct.   What should I do to correct the display color in the Windows Photo Viewer.

    Hello

Thanks for posting your concern on the forum.

According to the description of the question when you preview with Windows photos Photo Viewer are all very tinted orange. Maybe this is a chance that display drivers are getting corrupted or need to be updated.

As you are referring to the Windows Photo Viewer, I suggest you to check the Windows Photo Viewer is defined as program default for Open the images. You can follow the steps mentioned below to check that.

    1. Press on the the window key + W.

    2. In Search box type in default programs , and then press enter.

    3. Click on Sand your default program.

    4. Now right-click on the Windows Photo Viewer, and then select set this program as default.

For more details, you can refer to the following Microsoft article mentioned.

Choose the apps Windows uses by default

If the problem persists, try to update the drivers and install Windows updates. Drivers are updated occasionally. Windows can update automatically, or you can install the drivers updated yourself. It is important for you to have confidence in the updated drivers that you install. Windows warns you if it detects a suspicious or dangerous driver, you should not install.

    Download and install the drivers

Hope it would help. If problem persists always post back with the current state of your computer and the result of the proposed suggestion, we will be happy to help you.

    Kind regards

  • Windows XP profile does not properly

A user keeps connecting with his profile and he seems to be corrupted.  He receives no message stating not that it is a temporary profile, but all the shortcuts of microsoft software, he clicks on that try to installation/configuration for the first time, including Outlook.  He has all his office items and shortcuts with no desktop image.  Shortcuts Software Photoshop, AutoCAD, etc. don't even open and build a "fatal error" or fails to load.

    Any thoughts?

It seems likely that it could be a corrupted profile.  Not always, there is a message that a temporary profile is in place.  Try to do a system restore to a point in time before it's a problem or retrieve the user's profile.  The two approaches are covered in the following articles:

Think about it an absolute must - manually update your drivers.

Vista and Windows 7 updated drivers love then here's how update the most important.

    Site of the manufacturer here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN -.
    REBOOT after each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you are
installation actually appears. This is because that some rollback of drivers before the
later is installed (particularly that audio drivers) so install a driver - reboot.
Make sure that it is installed and repeat if necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW to the device makers DO NOT RUN THEIR
SCANNER - check manually by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

the above methods is preferable to ensure the latest drivers from the manufacturer of system
