Windows 7 and Acrobat from a XP computer

I had a desktop computer with Windows XP operating system and now have opted for a desktop computer with Windows 7 OS. I had Acrobat 10.0 on the XP computer. I took Adobe files on this computer and put them on an external hard drive. Can I now put Acrobat 10.0 on the Win 7 computer? If so, should what steps I follow? Once, I think, somewhere that said I could not put Acrobat 10.0 on a Windows 7 computer, I received a response. If it makes a difference, my Acrobat goes all the way back to a disk of 6.0.

Yes, you can download Acrobat X from here: http://prodesigntools.com/adobe-acrobat-x-10-pro-reader-suite-direct-download-links-ddl.ht ml

Make sure you follow the steps it

  • Can I safely remove Windows: images and faxes from my computer?

I am running Windows XP and need help.  When you download a pdf file, then try to launch or save to downloads for open with Adobe Reader, Windows Picture and Fax Viewer jumps forward and displays a message indicating that no preview is available in full-screen.  Can I eliminate this problem by removing Windows Picture and Fax Viewer on my computer, since I never use images and faxes in any case.  If it is safe to do so, how can I go about it?  Thank you

Why not check your file Associations for you ensure that when XP meets a PDF file, it will use Adobe Reader to open it (or if some PDF reader you choose).

To do this, in Windows Explorer, click Tools, folder, File Types options and find the PDF file extension.

If it is not associated with Adobe Reader, click on edit and select Adobe Reader and put a checkmark in the box to "always use the selected program to open this type of file", click OK and close.

You can get similar results by right-clicking a PDF file, choose open with..., choose the program, etc.

If your copy of Windows is an OEM (delivered in a cardboard cover, as a single disc) then no. - the license was related to the motherboard of a fist on which it was installed.

If it's a complete detail of the product (fancy box, two discs), then Yes, you can install it in the new - activate by phone.

    Hi, CPC,.

Welcome to the Microsoft Answers Community!

You must install Flight simulator on vista as well as Windows Xp and vista are two different operating systems.

You log in to vista, you may not use any of the XP application and vice versa.

  • How to get my key of windows 8 and reinstalled it on my computer?

I bought a laptop with a windows pre-installed 8 and had it upgraded to 8.1. Unfortunately my bios and the hard drive crashed. I got the bios re-installed and replaced hard drive but I don't have my windows key 8 that my laptop did not come with a sticker. How to get my key of windows 8 and reinstalled it on my computer?

    OT: recovery of windows 8

    Hey fatty,.

What is the brand and model of the computer?

Windows 8 is a preinstalled version, you must contact the manufacturer of your laptop to get the product key. As OEM (original equipment manufacturer) product keys be provided by the manufacturer of the computer.

I hope this helps. Let us know if you have other problems with Windows in the future.

issues of compatibility windows 7 and acrobat 6.0

You have a question? AA6 is not fully compatible with Win7, probably not at all to a 64-bit system. The recommendation is to buy AAXI. If you manage to install AA6 on Win7, you can optionally change the port of the Adobe PDF printer to FILE and then print to file. It is a PS file and will then be run through Distiller to obtain a PDF file. This may or may not work for you. I've experimented with AA5 and managed in this way for a Win7 32-bit system. Not a great solution, but it may meet your need.

  • "Cannot use adobe reader to view PDFs in your web browser" error in Windows 7 and Acrobat pro 8.1.7

I get the error 'cannot use adobe reader to view PDFs in your web browser.  Player will now stop.  Please exit your browser and try again"in Windows 7 x 32 and Windows 7 x 64 with Acrobat pro 8.1.7.  This occurs when you try to open a PDF file in Internet explore 8.0.760 or when I open a PDF file in Quickbooks 2008.  If I answer ok or cancel, the file opens normally.  If I open acrobat 8 first of all and then the pdf file opens as expected.  I also tried a copy of Acrobat reader, with no difference in the result.  Because this happens on two different computers a new copy of windows 7 x 64, the other, an upgrade to windows 7 x 32 and they used to work before moving to windows 7, I guess that there is some sort of incompatibility with windows 7 and acrobat.  Is this a known problem and will be fixed in an update to acrobat in the near future?

For Windows 7 you will need Adobe Acrobat 9.1.

new computer how to do everything from my old computer to my new computer

You can transfer files and settings with Windows XP files and the transfer settings Wizard, but you can not transfer the programs installed using any method whatsoever - you will need to reinstall these programs.  If your new computer is not Windows XP but Windows 7 then use the program Windows Easy Transfer, included in Windows 7 rather than the files and Settings Transfer Wizard.

  • Windows 8 and Acrobat 5.0

I recently bought a new computer with Windows 8.  On my old system (Windows 7), I used Adobe Acrobat 5.0.  My recommended tech against the loading and executing Acrobat 5 on my new system, because he felt it wouldn't work.  He suggested that I contact you for assistance.  Do you have any suggestions?  Thank you.

It is surprising that it works on Windows 7 and doubtful that it will work on Windows 8.  You are always welcomed to try to install it, but don't get your hopes up.

  • Could someone tell me the best way to transfer files and settings from an old computer to a newer version?

Hello everyone, once again I find myself going to the pro to know what you're probably going to think is an easy thing to do, but I have to swallow my pride and ask anyway. Before I ask my question, I need to let you know that I'm almost completely computer illiterate. I can manage to do somethings, but I have a feeling this is going to be difficult. I have an older Dell model, this is the Dimension 2350 series and I would like to transfer those things on that is also a Dell, but it's an Intel Pentium 4. . Really, I don't have as long as it's what files to transfer, but especially picutres of family or your holiday. What worries me is transfer the settings on my old computer to the newest one. I have a Windows XP CD drive that comes with a new computer. What help anyone can give me will be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance!  Can you give me an idea what I have to do first with the old as in the steps I have to take.

    Question for you:

What is the operating system on both systems?  They are both Windows XP?  Is the older Windows XP and the newer Windows Vista?  Windows 7?  Something else?

I ask only because whatever you mentioned was a Windows XP CD that is supplied with the newest computer.  The truth - the newest computer is already up and working as you want - if not relevant.  The answer to the foregoing will help someone lead you correctly.

original title: install windows xp without CD

    Andrea,

First of all. You cannot reinstall Windows XP without CD.
Second, a download of Windows XP isn't illegal, I don't think you will get all the answers here to know where to download a copy of Windows XP.
Better call the computer manufacturer instead.

  • Windows 8 and updates from HP

I have a HP Pavillion a1310n to I think 2005ish and decided to use it to test windows 8. So far, its very good, but I have two questions which seem to me in court from HP.

    1. I have shutdown/restart options, but no sleep/wake. Where is it?

2 trying to figure out which made me think the updates of the HP software for drivers and such to happen automatically. Since I installed windows 8 directly form windows I don't have any software of hp more then... is it possible to get it?

2A. I have four more new HP computers running windows 7 and if I want to upgrade to windows 8 to the future I pressume that question is big enough.

    Hello

Install version 8 to win a HP Support Assistant. This will warn you if updates are available.

  • Can I use a professional WIndows 7 upgrade disk from a dead computer to upgrade my current computer to Windows 7 Home Premium?

My last computer came with Vista.  I've upgraded to Windows 7 Professional with a purchased disc.  The computer's system drive crashed and I replaced the computer.

Can I use the upgrade disk to update my new computer that came with Windows 7 Home Premium?

If yes how can I do and activate the new version?

Just use the key of Windows 7 Pro upgrade to your new computer via the "Anytime Upgrade" option. You may or may not need to re - activate by phone depending on how long the Windows 7 Pro key was not in use (see the end of my response to instructions on activation by telephone).

    = Upgrade Instructions =.

    To start the upgrade process:
Click on start/search and enter the words: Express upgrade
Then, in the list of the search results, click on "Windows Anytime Upgrade".
Then follow the prompts on the screen anytime upgrade.
Basically, all you need to do is enter the upgrade Windows 7 Professional product key.

    Alternative methods:
(Located at the top right) Start/Control Panel/small icons option / click the "Windows Anytime Upgrade".

Enter the text below into the run (Windows KEY + R or a command prompt) dialog box:
    %windir%\system32\WindowsAnytimeUpgradeUI.exe

-Anytime Upgrade may not work for all versions of Windows-

Note: Retail 'Full' or 'Upgrade' product keys will work when you use the Express Upgrade feature.
Upgrade Express 'can' not work (check with the manufacturer of the computer support team) for users who have the OEM and integrators of systems product keys, this applies also to the VL (Volume License), keys (KMS) users management server should consult with your administrator before attempting to perform an Express upgrade. MSDNAA or key teaching will not work with the Express upgrade.

    -Anytime Upgrade options-

Windows 7 Starter to Windows 7 Home Premium
Windows 7 Starter to Windows 7 Professional
Windows 7 Starter to Windows 7 Ultimate
Windows 7 Edition Home Premium to Windows 7 Professional
Windows 7 Edition Home Premium to Windows 7 Ultimate
Windows 7 Professional to Windows 7 Ultimate

    = Phone activation =.
