Windows 7, can't print on both sides

My work computer has been recently updated and now when I try to print on both sides so that the box is no more on my print controls.  I was able to do this with previous versions of Word and Excel.  Is there a way to do this? Also, when I go to the advance tab, I change the 'back print' to 'on', but it makes no difference. Help?

Thank you!

Kris

Probably, you have a generic printer driver and need specific driver from the manufacturer of your printer brand and model.  Since you don't say what brand and model printer you have, that's all I can tell you.

Good luck.

I tried to print another document infact a page of e-mail, he gave me a double option face why can't print with adobe reader software?

    Hi dianah71252428,

Adobe Reader and Adobe Acrobat allow you to print double-sided if your printer supports this feature. The printer driver controls the options, not Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Reader. Check your printer documentation to see what features your printer supports. (Double-sided printing is also called duplex, back to back, front and back, or double-sided printing).

Refer to this KB document for help double-sided printing. Adobe Acrobat, Reader

  • I can't print on both sides!

    Hello

I have the printer for 5 months and I've been printing with the unit duplex - two-sided printing option.

A few days ago I tryied to print as usual on both sides of the page and I can not turn 'ON' the option for using the option two faces.

I'm on mac and I tried to restart the printer and follow instraction on HP - the guid line, re - install the duplexer and it still does not.

It is the copy of the scren on my mac:

    What option I have?

I bought this printer just because both sides option.

I still have my warranty on the printer and it's the priner info:

    Please let me know.

    Thank you

    Hi Yotam,

If please try following the steps below and check if this can help:

    1. check that duplex printing accessory has been installed correctly. To check this open system preferences and go to Print & Fax. Open the print to your printer queue. Click Printer Setup and in the tab menu choose driver. Make sure that the box next to HP printing accessory (duplexer) sides.

    2. on the file menu, select print. The print window is displayed.
NOTE: The print window might be minimized. Click the blue triangle next to the name of the printer or on the button view details to see all the available parameters.

    3. in the print window expanded you will find next to Copies the checkbox for duplex. Select the check box.
NOTE: If the check box does not appear in the specific application print dialog box, skip this step.

    4. to select the connection type click the selection box below, listed as the name of the program (e.g. TextEdit)
Will appear as Copies & Pages within Microsoft Office applications.

    5. Select the menu drop down.

    6. set the duplex option as binding edge Long (Portrait) or binding Long Edge (landscape).

You can save the settings for later use by clicking preset > save current settings as preset. By default, a used preset will remain until another preset will be used.

    Hope that helps,

  • I am told that my 6500 a - all-in-one - can't print on both sides of the paper. Is this true?

I just replaced an old HP 840C with the 6500 has and can not find a way to make 2 sided.  After 1 1/2 hours on 'live chat', I was told that this model can not do this.  If so, it is totally amazing and will result in my black-Linting total of HP products in the future.

    Is anyone aware of this?

Hi Bob - after almost a year, I'm finally back with the same problem-no duplex option.  Did you ever find another driver that works on the 6500c and will offer the duplex option?

    Jerry

Sorry Jerry, I was never able to get copy double-sided working on the Officejet 6500.  It seems that the firmware of this device does not print duplex commands, even if supported a driver that supports duplex printing is used and a duplexer is attached.

    Hello

I have a Deskjet 2050 All - in - One J510a and I just realized that I can't manually print on both sides simply because this function does not exist on the print menu in the Properties window.

So, how can I print on both sides?

    Thank you

    Gil

So I guess I should be a REP from HP because these guys are not answering the question? If you go under Printer Properties Advanced there is an option to print only the even or odd, pages print the odd pages first and then put the paper in the printer, go to print click on main pages and bam there you go.

  • Windows 7 LaserJet P2055dn - No. auto both sides print

I am running 64-bit Windows 7 Ultimate and my LaserJet P2055dn printer attached USB works fine EXCEPT it may not be able to manually print on both sides. If I understand the situation correctly, the printer driver that is installed by the operating system is for Color LaserJet P2050 Series PCL6. The HP site, it seems that if, unlike Vista, there is no specific driver for Windows 7 for the LaserJet P2055dn. I can live with this situation, but I would appreciate your comments or suggestions on how I can activate auto two side printing on this printer.

HP has a document that describes what you need to do to activate automatic duplexing on the CP2025. The address of the page is:

I have a HP Officejet 6500 has more that color print on both sides.

Now, I have only a 6500 a which initially can print one side.

I changed the room in the back (I put the piece of the 6500 has more printer) so that mechanically, he has the ability to print also the two sides.

Now how do I program the printer so that it detects that he now has the ability to print on both sides?

    Hello

As suggested in the post above, only available for the printer manual duplex printing.

The accessory of the duplexer is designed only for he 6500 more than model a, it is not intended and cannot be used with the model 6500 a, as you can find below:

  • HP officejet 4630 will not print on both sides of the paper

Unable to print on both sides of the paper. The backsideprints first, then wait for the ink to dry, front end starts to print then stops with a windows error message popping up on the screen saying cannot print the document.

I found that I can't print multiple pages either. For example, I decided to print the document of 4 pages in the form of simple pages only (since double-sided would not work) and the results were first page print second page prints on a third, and then just stop with error message this printer cannot print the pdf document. If I had to select each separately page to finnally get all four printed pages. HP print and scan diagnosis says theres no problem. Windows diagnostics says there is no problem.

Obviously there is a problem can offer advice and the solution?

    Thank you

    To all,

Thanks a lot for your suggestions. I would like to point out that the problem was solved and printer works fine.

The solution is one of the two things?

First, I opened the windows firewall and allows all applications and processes to pass through. There may be a few dozens of them, some have been verified and how some have been blocked. I checked all except those who started with 'remote '.

Second, I went on the printer software and returned the IP address of the printer. It was the same as the IP address, but somewhere on the microsoft blog, I read that windows and routers sometimes lost the IP address. That's why I'm re-entered.

I don't know which of these fixed the issue, but one of them did.

    Thanks again

  • How to print on both sides using a Mac and a HP2575?

    Hello

I've been a Windows user for some time now and recently bought a MacBook.  For a long time, I used Windows to print Word documents, which allowed me to print on both sides (even though my printer is not a "module" sides).   When I went to print using my MacBook, my printer (HP2575 all-in-one), would allow me to print on both sides.  Is there a program I can download that would allow me to print on both sides?

    Any suggestions would be helpful.
