Windows 7 slow resizing

I'm sure that this issue has been around for a while, but I don't know if this thing is fixable, so I made this thread.

Well, basically in the image below you can see that I'm resizing the Chrome window to the right, he pulls this black bar on the side there. But when it's over it's all very well.

My graphics drivers are all up to date, so I don't think that this could be the cause of it. And just an opinion but on Chrome is when this issue is most apparent. On Firefox, the sizing is so much smoother.

Any ideas or is just a thing to live with?

Hello

Please keep us updated and my apologies for the late reply.

I suggest you to run the System File Checker tool.

System File Checker is a Windows utility that allows users to find corruptions in Windows system files and restore the damaged files.

To do this, click Start, type command or cmd prompt in the Search box, right click invite, and then click run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click allow.

At the command prompt, type the following command and press ENTER:

sfc/scannow

Once the process is complete, you may receive one of the following messages:

  • Windows resource protection did not find any breach of integrity.
  • Windows resource protection could not perform the requested operation.
  • Resource protection Windows find files corrupted and managed to fix it.
  • Windows resource protection found corrupt files but was unable to solve some of them.

Hope this information is useful. Please feel free to answer in the case where you are facing in the future other problems with Windows.

    Hello

I have a HP 14-r015tx running Windows OEM (preinstalled) 8.1 update and update Windows via Windows Update today (08/11/2015).

I have this problem where whenever I start my PC after Windows loading-black-screen with the HP logo (this approach indirect loading animation), get this screen "Please wait...". "so long as about 4 to 8 minutes until I get my account picture and the name with the 'Welcome' screen and my office appeared. I tried a lot of things:

-Defragment all my hard drive partitions,

-Optimize all my partitions of hard disk with the Windows defragmentation tool,

-Used TuneUp and clean all the junks, defragment the registry clean registry and redefragment my hard drive partitions.

-Uninstalling most of my games and unused applications (have 36.4 GB of free space on C,)

-Use cleanmgr and cleaned all the possible junks from there.

-Updated Windows 8 on a regular basis, and I just updated on 8 August 2015.

-Looking upward on my hard drive deep and my records and clear on the unused entries.

-Turn off much, services.msc and start apps services

-From msconfig, I put a few services, and

-Updated my BIOS HP PC software.

I do not understand on this subject. I tried many things and I can't fix this crappy Windows 8.

    In conclusion, my questions are:

    1. How do I fix this shit?

  • Windows 7 move / resize windows on the monitor power cycle

I have a new ultimate install W7 on a new PC (AOpen DEX4501 w intel GM45 graphics). I installed the latest graphic drivers Intel 8.15.10.2202 and all the updates of windows relevant.

It is connected via HDMI to a HD of Grundig Misuro TV. My resolution is set to 1600 x 900, windows recommended resolution is 1920 x 1080, but appears poorly, so I do not use it.

When Windows is asleep, or I turn off (and then later) the monitor, most of the windows are moved/resized to the top left with the lower right corner to 1024 x 768.

Firefox, Excel (2003), resize/move, Outlook windows Explorer (2003) do not move/resize.

I have a screen of Samurize (like Gadget) on the right who someimes is moved to the top left, but not this morning. The windows resize/move also happens when Samurize is not running.

    I found three other entries related to this;

They do not seem to have been resolved for a long time.

It is a question of monitor Windows power management, can it be fixed please it is very annoying.

I don't recommend W7 to others with outstanding issues.

    I've found a workaround.
    With the help of Sysinternals ProcessMonitor I found that Windows was accessing the following registry path;
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\GraphicsDrivers\Configuration

    My system has three entrances;
    DELF003YY7707BR0MUL_30_07D7_6A ^ 9A3774EB79DEE3E3E38496CC7DF4D936

Each is a tree called '00' two keys are
    PrimSurfSize.cx
    PrimSurfSize.cy

    Under "00" is also another branch called '00' two keys are;
    ActiveSize.cx
    ActiveSize.cy

The first two configs (IE... DELF00 & QHD3...) the above keys were 1440 x 900.
    While they were not involved.

The third (SIMULATED...) have been set at 1024 x 768.

I changed to 1600 x 900 and the problem was solved.

Further, I changed resolution (via Control Panel) 1920 x 1080, returned the issue of moving/resizing,.
but the lower right was set at 1600 x 900, IE the SIMULATED... settings.

If for any reason any of the configs does not set correctly.

I don't know why there are three configs, I never used a single monitor.

Hope this helps someone out there...

  • iMac (retina) - Fusion 8 - 10 Windows - very slow

    Hi guys,.

I need help troubleshooting a Windows 10 virtual machine that runs at snail's pace. Installation program:

    -iMac (retina 5 k, 27 inches, end of 2015)

-Processor: 3.2 Ghz Intel core i5

    -Memory: 8 GB

-Storage: 1 TB drive of Fusion

-Graphics card: AMD Radeon R9 M390

    -OS X 10.11.6 (El Capitan)

    -VMware Fusion 8

-10 Windows Home / 64 Bit, completely updated according to the settings / Windows Update.

I installed Fusion 8, installed 10 Windows using the ISO from Microsoft site and added VM Ware Tools. The installation went without any problems.

VMware for this Windows 10 VM parameters:

    -CPU: 1 heart of processor

-RAM: 1 GB (shown as recommended in the control panel)

    -Hard drive: 60 GB

I adapted only screen size settings in order to have Fusion / 10 Windows using the full resolution on the Retina display (Scaled high resolution) for unity and full screen. "Accelerate 3D graphics" it's on.

I'm now trying to use this virtual machine and it is extremely slow - both in full screen mode and one-stop shops. For example, after you click the icon on the start menu, it takes about 10 seconds until the start menu appear effectively. Chrome opening = 90 seconds. What switching applications or dragging of windows, you can sometimes watch the screen redraw. Sluggish _really_.

OS X monitor shows only moderate, activity should the CPU activity.

In the Windows 10 VM, the Task Manager / processes tab shows moderate (30%) Support CPU but memory, its use is constantly between 90 and 100% - even when no apps are open. However, no task stands out as a resource hog.

I went on "Pre-allocate disk space" in the control panel merge and change RAM of 2 GB to give VM more. Performance feels a whole little bit better, but the load high memory remains even when the system is idle.

This feels like a cheap $ 250, low-power PC. Is this normal?

    I'd appreciate any help here.

1 GB of RAM for Windows 10 is far from weak. It will be 'run', but not well. Even 2 is pushing it. 1 processor is pushing it too.

It behaves like a PC $250 because that's essentially what you have given to resources.

  • new updates of windows, firefox slow to open

My computer installed two new windows updates... KB3021917 and KB3006137. Since then, Mozilla Firefox is slow to open. It takes at least 5 minutes. However, once the internet is in place, it works fine. It's just the process of the opening of the internet. Help, please.

I did some research and found out that it should be good if you ignore these two updates.

  • When I open too many windows, Firefox slows down

I use Firefox for ever and I am currently using Windows 7 64 bit. As far as I know, that nothing has changed on my end, but Firefox started running slowly after opening the windows of. How I usually use the program and have done for years, is to open pages in a lot of different windows and close them as needed. This does usually cause no problems and I can leave the program running for days at a time, works perfectly well.

Last week however, something changed. Now when Firefox starts up first, it works very well, as expected, but then after a period of time, usually in a day, sometimes within a few hours, it starts sensational "gunked upward." At this point, when I try to load a page in a new window, instead of load instantly, there a second or two, during which I can not move to any other Firefox window, but all other running programs work very well. This State continues and grows slower and slower to load new pages, until I closed and reopened Firefox, then the cycle repeats.

Again, this is a new situation, my normal behavior would not normally cause this kind of slowdown even after a week or more of continuous service. I ran a control of viruses and malware, without success control on either and other programs are not affected. I tried to restart as well, but the problem came back shortly after. I also turned off most of my modules, including those that have worked well for months or years, and still no change, it slogs always down after some time. My Firefox is also currently up-to-date, of course (27.0.1).

    What is going on?

OK, I put some time in troubleshooting and think that I thought about it. After going in and out of safe mode several times, I reduced to a problem with Adblock Plus. With him in the distance, I could open a ton of windows, with it on this subject would begin to slow. A quick workaround solution was that if I went in the menu of the Addon whenever he began to slow down and disabled Adblock and transformed then turn it back on, it would reset the downturn, but I went to their own support site and came across people with the same problem solved by picking up a beta version of the addon. Since the installation, I got no problems.

  • 0xc000000e error on Windows after Partition resize

    Hi guys,.

Had to deal with this problem for the last two days and I've scoured these forums here and elsewhere try to find a solution but no luck. I think I'm pretty close, but need help.

I had a bootcamp installation, to roughly a 50-50 share on my disk space for windows 10 and OSX El Capitan.

I decided to cut my OSX partition, so I could create shared partition in exFat to save the files that I want to access between OSs. I thought it would be a cleaner solution than to use a 3rd party OSX app for read/write NTFS volumes.

Resize is well spent, created the new partition and later went to start Windows and received the error startup 0xc000000e.

    Here's what I know:

    1. Windows appears in "Startup disk" in public services.
    2. Windows appears in the start menu when you hold the ALT key when you start.
    3. The NTFS Volume seems to be intact, and I can access the files.

IM new to OSX and have been a big user of windows for many years, although go deep into OSX or Linux is alien to me.

I created a bootable windows usb key and went into the Startup Repair, sailing to the NTFS volume run bootrec orders.

When you run BCD rebuild it searched OSs and found my installation of windows, but when you are trying to add to the MBR I get the error "the requested system device is not found."

I deleted the partition and extend partition OSX to return to where it was before that the question arose in the hope that setting the table to partition back the way that you can solve the problem. There is, unfortunately, no.

Here is the output current of diskutil and fdisk and gpt - vv command.

Windows take long at the start that I have windows Xp and my pc is a Hp Pavilion a1340n

Bernabe, if that makes some time you did a 'system' full recovery, it could be a good time to do so.  Over time, install and uninstall programs will leave residue in the 'registry '.  This starts to cause things to slow down.  You can also defragment the hard drive and do a disk cleanup.

  • HP Envy, Windows 8 slow, late and does work does not correctly

    Hello

First off let me give a run down of my installation:

-HP Envy Dv7, (about one and a half years)

    -Windows 8.1 (I upgraded windows form 8)

    -HDD 750 GB (Stock)

-Everything else is stock based on the computer

So, my trouble started about 3 months after what appeared to be a routine stop after a day use.  The next time I started my computer took a lot more time to start, I got an error that talked about my control center catalyst having an error and does not and that nothing would be open to all.  After the merger with different ideas on how to solve the problem, I dropped and it factory reset.  This fix has worked for the whole two days were once again, I got the same problems, I did another reset and when it does not work I gave up for a while.  About two weeks ago, I again have to reset it and then updated for windows 8.1through microsoft dreamspark.  This seemed to fix my kind of problem, the same questions (not counting control catalyst who never returned after the update) would be upward if I have it plugged anything in the USB drivers.  Now for some unknown reason which was not the case for my wireless mouse which worked just fine.  If at this point, I have a mouse plugged wireless and no problem whatsoever.  One day I shut down my computer with the mouse is always plugged (I never do usually) after I do all my troubles to come back but enlarged.  I tried to do just a refresh of windows but it says that my hard drive is locked and let be honest I really want to keep refreshing and resetting my laptop and lost al my stuff.

So now, here's a list of my exact problems in most occuences recentof, now:

-Slow start and typing in my password take like five minutes to register that I typed in fact anything

-l' unlock screen is for like five minutes

-My Office take a good ten mintues to load all my icons and others

-J' have a popup that says IEWebsitelogon, not having that take a long time to close

-EACH window is delay, that is difficult to change their size, move about minimize, close, etc...

-Every thing take > then five minutes for open including Manager, start menu task

-Much more delay and related issues

What is one thing to hard drive? They are not too expensive to replace, so I can get another copy of the win8 form my school so if that is the question that is very well.

I really need help, my computer is basically usless, I am a student I need my computer please help me.

    Hello

As you probably know, the error code 24 characters for short drive Self Test (DST) would indicate that hard is defective and must be replaced.  It is also entirely consistent with the problems of performance, as you describe in your initial post.

If there is no help, the player at the link below is an example of one that would be perfect for your laptop.

  • How to repair windows XP slow farm process?

When I stopped my system, it must be at least 5 minutes to stop down...

During the shutdown of the Windows XP computer, it may take longer time to complete the shutdown process. Slow stops are caused a lot of factors. Clear pagefile at shutdown option enabled is the common cause.

    Use the Group Policy Editor

Click Start, run and type in "Secpol.msc".
Click local policies | Security options
In the right pane, set stop: clear the pagefile of virtual memory for people with reduced mobility

However, this setting is not the only cause of slow closures. No relevant programs and Services also contribute to slow closures.

If the problem is seen recently after installing a driver software or third-party, try a system restore to see if that solves the problem of the slow stop.

Stay very far away from what you call a 'PC Booster'. This kind of
program more often causes or aggravates the problems, rather than fixing
    them.

There are several possibilities for what are the causes of poor performance, but
the first thing to check that you are not infected with malware.
What anti-virus and anti-spyware programs do you run (they are far away
to be good too) and if they are updated?
