Please help me and thanks

Hi Bilodeau,

You did changes to the computer before the show?

If your computer seems to close slowly (or not at all) starts slowly, or if it is not energy saving modes, it is possible that a program or device driver is interfering with Windows power settings.

Method 1: I suggest you try the steps from the following link:

Why my computer won't turn on or off quickly?
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-CA/Windows/computer-wont-turn-on-off-quickly#1TC=Windows-7

Method 2: I'll help you with this problem. I suggest you follow the steps in the article.

Optimize Windows 7 for better performance

Slow PC? Optimize your computer for peak performance

Note: If bad sectors are found in the hard drive, then it could try to fix this particular sector. If you have any data on that, it can get lost.

Note: The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.

I hope this helps. Let us know if you need help with Windows related issues. We will be happy to help you.

  • Random freeze and automatic restart

I have a Dell Inspiron 1521 with windows vista that I bought about 2 years ago. Since I got it, it was freezing when loading, either on the screen, the opening of the office, or even in full me work on something load. It also randomly restarts itself without giving me any warning as to what happened. I ran the antivirus scans and that you have installed all updates. nothing seems to solve the problem. Maybe windows vista is to blame; We all know that 2 years after vista came out windows 7 has been created because vista is a GREAT operating system. I have NO idea what to do on my laptop in addition to throw out the window. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

  • HP Envy, Windows 8 slow, late and does work does not correctly

    Hello

First off let me give a run down of my installation:

-HP Envy Dv7, (about one and a half years)

    -Windows 8.1 (I upgraded windows form 8)

    -HDD 750 GB (Stock)

-Everything else is stock based on the computer

So, my trouble started about 3 months after what appeared to be a routine stop after a day use.  The next time I started my computer took a lot more time to start, I got an error that talked about my control center catalyst having an error and does not and that nothing would be open to all.  After the merger with different ideas on how to solve the problem, I dropped and it factory reset.  This fix has worked for the whole two days were once again, I got the same problems, I did another reset and when it does not work I gave up for a while.  About two weeks ago, I again have to reset it and then updated for windows 8.1through microsoft dreamspark.  This seemed to fix my kind of problem, the same questions (not counting control catalyst who never returned after the update) would be upward if I have it plugged anything in the USB drivers.  Now for some unknown reason which was not the case for my wireless mouse which worked just fine.  If at this point, I have a mouse plugged wireless and no problem whatsoever.  One day I shut down my computer with the mouse is always plugged (I never do usually) after I do all my troubles to come back but enlarged.  I tried to do just a refresh of windows but it says that my hard drive is locked and let be honest I really want to keep refreshing and resetting my laptop and lost al my stuff.

So now, here's a list of my exact problems in most occuences recentof, now:

-Slow start and typing in my password take like five minutes to register that I typed in fact anything

-l' unlock screen is for like five minutes

-My Office take a good ten mintues to load all my icons and others

-J' have a popup that says IEWebsitelogon, not having that take a long time to close

-EACH window is delay, that is difficult to change their size, move about minimize, close, etc...

-Every thing take > then five minutes for open including Manager, start menu task

-Much more delay and related issues

What is one thing to hard drive? They are not too expensive to replace, so I can get another copy of the win8 form my school so if that is the question that is very well.

I really need help, my computer is basically usless, I am a student I need my computer please help me.

    Hello

As you probably know, the error code 24 characters for short drive Self Test (DST) would indicate that hard is defective and must be replaced.  It is also entirely consistent with the problems of performance, as you describe in your initial post.

If there is no help, the player at the link below is an example of one that would be perfect for your laptop.

750 GB hard drive for laptop.

The procedure to replace the hard drive begins on Page 56 of your & Maintenance Guide.

  • Slow shutdown and startup of Windows 7

Not as fast as using either Windows 7 performance. Maybe it's because I installed a lot of programs that I'm not sure, but the os is slow to close. I get message waiting for background programs to close, and he explorer.exe. As matter is explorer.exe is really causing issues in the bones. To crash frequently, hogging resources, its frustrating! What is the problem with the operating system? I know that Windows 7 is not perfect os but is this normal? Windows 7 is actually reasonably well it's just when it starts to the top or stops it takes longer now then ever. I guess that's normal when I installed the os first started to the top and stop without delay.

Good new, everyone. I discovered the culprit who was slowing down the operating system. It's this strange file named sqlwriter.exe. It was located in the mobile app data folder and I deleted it. Because I deleted the file, the operating system is significantly faster. It doesn't seem to be a virus, it was some Microsoft files that I have somehow on my computer perhaps via windows update, I guess. Happy that I solved the problem :)

  • Install updates windows on my laptop and after restart is stuck in a loop yets to windows screen then goes beck at startup

installed updates for windows xp windows do not know the last time they did, I think he was as 70 of them after the restart he gets to the windows screen then goes right back to the screen that appears when you turn on safe mode I tried same thing start and I don't know where are the boot disks. Any ideas what to try

    Hi Jim,.

It seems that there may be a startup program or service that is causing the reboot. If the same problem happens even in Safe Mode, the computer is pretty damn good since its XP. XP is still the best OS for many users, but the downside is that there are options unlike Vista and Windows 7, they have JOBS and the Windows recovery environment I've seen have saved a lot of time to repair. YES JOBS.
If you don't have the recovery CD, your computer manufacturer SHOULD have it unless you have an integrated HARD disk restore function. As far as I know, you can request a CD for a few dollars. Around under $ 10, I guess?

  • Log in to the window - Skip connect you and automatically have the beginning of the correct username

When I start Windows XP, I now get a window with 2 user names and instructions "to begin, click the user name.
Clicking on a user name takes me on the current desktop
Clicking on the other one takes me for a desktop very, very old

I returned home without password to activate one or the other.

Is it possible to simply ignore this screen and have the correct username just start automatically?

  • Problems to start Windows Vista / slow route and the screen is very big

    Hello

Last night, something happened and the power strip with all the strings of my computer was turned off. When I turned it on Windows took a long time to start. I tried several times to boot mode safe but it freezes when it loads the files "Windows". When I choose to start normally it takes about 30 minutes up to what the login screen appears, but the screen is large and disproportionate as if the resolution was too low. If I connect to try to change the resolution of my computer runs very slow and I can't do anything.

I can not start safe mode and I tried to use the last good known Configuration, but my computer is blocked that do too. It freezes at the "loading windows files" with the white loading bar. The bar completely and then everything stops as if my computer is blocked. The only way he can start very slowly normally is, and then I can't do anything with it. For not to mention everything on the screen how big is. I checked the resolution with my monitors settings and it says its normal.

At this point, I am completely lost and have no idea what could be the problem or what I need to do.

My computer is a HP Pavilion Elite m9357 PC c.

The monitor is an HP w2207h

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you!

    Hope

    Hello

Power outages can damage the equipment.

I suggest that you see if you can save your data > do reinstall a factory.

If this does not solve your problems, then it points to a hardware problem.

With a CV, you press F11 repeatedly at startup to start the recovery process to factory settings.

    See you soon.

  • Windows will not start and automatic repair does nothing

    Hello
I am on Windows 8 on my desk of game and encountered problems with the start-up. Whenever I try to start the computer, it does this:
    (1) prepare the auto repair

    (2) diagnose your PC
    (3) auto repair couldn't fix your PC
Whenever I try to click on anything in the advanced options it says I need to sign as an administrator but no accounts are displayed. He then tells me to restart my PC that starts the whole cycle again.
Is there a solution to this problem? I really prefer NOT wipe the hard drive clean as I already downloaded more than 200 GB of Steam games in the past few months and only have 35 GB per month to redownload the.

  • Launch quick and automatic sign in

Suddenly, I have a few questions odd surfacing.

When I click Start > shutdown and select restart, it restarts and then it logs me automatically and my desktop. Miss you my memory or is not how it has always been? I thought that it restarted and then you had to connect.

Another issue is... often the Quick Launch buttons disappear on their own. Then, I need to right click down by start, choose Properties, control of the empty box to see the quick launch area and click on apply. Then these icon buttons will reappear. This happens again and again, but not always. What the devil is this?

    One way seems to be...

    Start-> Run-> control userpasswords2

Then, click on the box "users must enter a user name and password to use this computer"

  • Windows has encountered a critical problem and will restart automatically in a minute. Please save your work not

Original title: I have Windows Vista home basic. Whenever I try to connect to the internet I get the error "Windows has encountered a critical problem and will restart automatically in a minute. Please save your work now' and the computer restarts

This started happening a few days ago. I tried to run the software anti-virus and 3 different registry cleaners and nothing helped. I use a mobile internet USB and when I tried to run safe mode with networking of the device was not recognized.

Does anyone have an idea on how I can fix this?

This is the Win32/Trojan.Shutdowner virus and rootkit causes this error. I think that it is the solution: download and burn the ISO image of kav rescue ofhttp://rescuedisk.kaspersky-labs.com/rescuedisk/updatable/kav_rescue_10.isoon CD. Make a start of full system scan from the disc that you created. Remove infections all found, including this stupid annoying rootkit, and you're done! At least it worked for me!
