  • Windows 7 takes 15 min to start after installing Labview 2012

    Hello

I need help on this, is this a bug?

The problem is that on my laptop after installing Labview 2012, it takes about 15 minutes to start, this happens every time a restart or start my laptop.

At first I thought something with my laptop, but then my colleague also installed Labview 2012 on his laptop and has exactly the same problem, the difference is that his new laptop and is running windows 7 Professional 64-bit, mine is older and is currently running windows 7 32-bit professional.

I tried to disable the services NOR, but has not solved the problem, but when I disable all windows services that start at startup, the startup is fast.

Also note that I had Labview 2011 installed before and I didn't have this problem before.

Tried also to find something in the registry, but nothing.

Any who have this problem, or a solution to this?

    Thanks in advance

This problem seems to be resolved, but then he come back again a few days later

I did many tests in my laptop and found it to be in the "Service of Network Store Interface" service (INS). Disabling this service, you have your problem solved, but there is another problem, you lose the network.
This happens because the "DHCP Client" service depends on the national statistical institutes.

Also, this issue seems to occur only when the PC is in a domain and I'm in a windows server (Windows SBS2008) domain.

Then I found that if you set manual this services which depend on national institutes of statistics (DHCP Client, DNS Client, IP Helper, network connections, local awareness network) and also put INS manual
You must also disable the "Workstation" service that also depends on national institutes of statistics (why turn off? Because there are 3 services that depend on the workstation service, they will require to start, and then it will force NSIS to start, then long boot, if you really need of the dependent services on workstation, do the same as for them)
Not also need uncheck this services in msconfig window if they are checked, and then the PC will boot normally without a network.

When you start, you should go to services and start the DHCP Client for the network (and the other if you really need)
This will force also NSIS to start and other services that depend on the national statistical institutes.
The first time the PC restarts, you may need to reset these services to manual in the services window, I had to do, and then in sebsequent boots, they have been already set to manual
If you leave right on the dependent services in automatic or automatic (delayed start) it will force NSIS to run and start time will go to + - 15 min

Because you must manually start "DHCP Client" for the network, here's a solution to do it automatically after have connected you:
1 - Go to control panel, and then open administrative tools
    Task 2-open Scheduller
    3. on the right click "Creat fundamental task.
    4. in the first window give a name ("DHCP" for example) and press next
5 - Click on "When I Logon" and press next
6 - click on "Start a program", and then press next
    7. in the "program/script" insert: net
    8. in the "Arguments" insert: start "DHCP Client".
    9 - Press 'Finish' and you're done

  • Pavilion dv6700: Pavilion laptop computer under Vista: Windows does not start, the Startup Repair cannot fix it. What to do next?

    Hello
My laptop seven year old made me proud til yesterday, but now it does not fire upwards. Instead, it hangs for a minute or two (black screen, no HARD drive light blinks, nothing), while it charges to a screen with two options - either start the system restart or start Windows normally. The second option takes me around the loop again. The first option tells me that it cannot fix the problem automatically. When I display the error details, it lists all of the tests, as adopted successfully, but ends with the words: "Root cause found: failure so that the Setup program is underway.

I'm sure I know why she fell: two days ago, I left all my files on a portable player and defragmented the disk. The idea was to speed up the machine and get it running like new. He immediately started to hang when connecting, so I thought, well I'll go for a complete restoration of the system. I followed the procedure using the disks provided with the machine, and that's when it stopped working completely. I felt that this was more than the aging than HARD drive could take.

My attempts at rejuvenation have actually caused his untimely death? Or is there a difficulty - something I could undertake?

Or should I just bite the bullet and go and buy a new machine? When everything (screen, keyboard and trackpad) worked so well, it seems a shame...

Any help or thoughts welcome. Thank you

If you really want to resurrect, you could certainly purchase a new hard drive and try to restore the system of work using the recovery media - but then, even if it did work, you would have still lost all your data, settings, and applications in the process - and having to reinstall all your applications everywhere again.

Hey, don't feel bad, I'm guilty of this too - has recently attempted to resurrect an era Tablet XP PC so that it can run Win10!  He went from XP to Vista, Win7, for Win8 - and along the way, gains of new memory and drives hard - but the Win10 bet was too.  So, I got to a "give up to use it.

However, I also kept a cell phone 5 year alive by replacing the HDD with a SSD and adding more memory.  So now it is faster than ever, it has been and works like new.

But... He has NO touchscreen, there no USB3 ports, it doesn't have 1 GB ethernet - and the list goes.

Thus, it works very well for what we use it for - but it can't really be upgraded, so sooner or later, we will have to replace it.

Everything depends on how much you need 'new' - touch screen, stylus, handwriting, camera, 3 USB ports, display port jack, HDMI ports... etc.

  • Windows 7 multi-network at startup

Hi all, have one him with another OS GREAT being whenever I start my pc, I can't connect to the net because it is showing as connected to multiple networks.

    I have;
    4 wireless modem router ports
A Vista laptop that connects wireless without any problem
A pc without card wireless connected with the ethernet cable. This is where the problem is. Whenever I start the pc, it can not connect to the internet because there are several networks. A host and a network, unidentified network.

I can disable the network card, turn it on and the pc will then connect to the home network and no problems with the net. I tried to delete the network according to the other threads and restarting the pc. This seems to works once and then redisplays the issue of multiple networks.

I also tried to disable IPv6, did not work.

Any help would be great that the woman is not too IT savvy and account now to use the laptop while I am not at home, unless I do the above, before going to work in the morning.

    Thanks in advance!

This is NOT a driver problem or a TCP/IP configuration problem... even if it's a good idea to make sure that you use the latest drivers from your manufacturer chipset.

Go to the control panel... options and administrative.
    Then 'services '.
Scroll down and find a service named "Hello service." Double click on this service, and then disable it. Now choose "automatic (delayed start).
Click OK and then close everything and restart, when you do, your connection network and internet should be good.
Takes a lot to explain the problem, but it is a service created by Apple that is commonly used in many applications for your network card to configure itself
automatically to work with certain services. He plays well with windows in general services, and delay automatic startup gives time to windows service to start before its activation to restart the computer.
    I hope this helps!

Looked this up and stays, it can be ignored. I tried to restore to a previous point, but for some strange reason, it does not show me when I go back. Things I've done recently to the laptop: I tried to put in a new stick of RAM, but the computer won't start so I took and how it was left. This may be the problem.

    Hello

After checking the above and according to the needs:

Use the startup clean and other methods to try to determine the cause of and eliminate problems.

Think about it an absolute must - manually update your drivers.

Vista and Windows 7 updated drivers love then here's how update the most important.

This is my generic how updates of appropriate driver:

This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded:

-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your system.
For each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver,
Description, version, product name, company that created the driver and more.
    http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.html

For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
Control Panel - device - Graphics Manager - note the brand and complete model
your video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now, click on update
Driver (this can do nothing as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then right-click.
Uninstall - REBOOT it will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party
with their own software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.

Now in the system manufacturer (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) site (in a restaurant), peripheral
Site of the manufacturer (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for
BIOS, Chipset and software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after
    each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you actually install
presents itself. This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (sound card drivers
in particular that) so to install a driver - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat as
    necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW in the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER device - check
    manually by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.
    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/driverssupport/HT/driverdlmfgr.htm

Installation and update of drivers under Windows 7 (updated drivers manually using the methods
above is preferred so that the latest drivers from the manufacturer of system and device manufacturers are
    found)
    http://www.SevenForums.com/tutorials/43216-installing-updating-drivers-7-a.html

If you update the drivers manually, then it's a good idea to disable the facilities of driver under Windows
Updates, that leaves about Windows updates but it will not install the drivers that will be generally
older and cause problems. If updates offers a new driver and then HIDE it (right click on it), then
get new manually if you wish.

Norton is a 4 AVs programs (antivirus) which will stop Windows Defender.
The reason is that Norton has its own advocate. Run 2 defenders in the same machine allows to create conflicts.
So what you notice is normal.

As for access to startup programs, defender of the window isn't the only way.

Start > in the search box, type msconfig > Enter > Startup tab > here is the list of startup programs.

To disable = uncheck the box in front.
To activate = check the box opposite.
