Windows 7 upgrade problem

I'm trying to upgrade windows 7 to windows 10.  The installation goes to 25% and then stops (x 4).  No error message is triggered, and I waited for hours without success.   When windows 7 is restored there is no specific error message.    What should I do next to address this problem?

  • 10 Windows 7 upgrade problems - uninstall programs

I have Windows 7 and want to update to 10. After you download the update, I get a message that I need to uninstall Symantec Endpoint Protection, because it is not compatible with the upgrade. I click on the next button, but then it tells me that I have to uninstall manually and then freshen up before the update. I tried to uninstall manually, but there is no file on the left is. No exe or uninstall files for Symantec. Already, I went in the drive and deleted the last files I could find in Program Files.

I downloaded CCleaner and another Malware scanning program. No Symantec program was found by the scanner thing that is supposed to uninstall the other antivirus programs. Nothing was found by the Malware scanner. CCleaner does not work with the free keys that I found online, Yes, I turn off my wifi when I try to activate it.

How can I update to Windows 10? Do I have to remove those programs? I can't find them anywhere.

  • Windows 7 upgrade problems

I have a HP Pavilion (dv7-2111us) laptop with Vista Home Premium 64 - bit that qualifies for upgrade to Windows 7.

Unfortunately, I want to install 64-bit Windows 7 Professional.

There is no way to upgrade from Home Premium to professional.

It is correct.  I understand that.

So what I want to do is...

Get my upgrade in Windows 7 Home Premium and install it on another computer.

Buy a full version of Windows 7 Professional for my HP laptop and do a clean install.

Question:  How can I get Vista Home Premium Installation discs to install on my other computer so I need this computer to Windows 7 Home Premium?

Oh yes, my other computer is a machine based 32-bit.

I think that this should be valid because with the purchase of the computer pavilion laptop, I also buy Windows Vista Home Premium.  I should be able to remove this and install it wherever I chose legally.

Switching to 64 bit to 32 bit is another problem.

    Thanks for your help

  • Acer Aspire Z5610 all in a Windows 8 upgrade problem

Hello.  I updated my Windows 8 64-bit pc and it works brilliantly except tuner AverMedia 336 DVB - T is not compatible, so I lost the tv function.  (driver not found, no updates found)

AverMedial tell me that they do not have the driver - Acer.   Acer told me, more or less difficult, they do not intend to upgrade the driver, my 2 year old machine is not suitable for upgrading to Windows 8.

I successfully upgraded other machines with two or more Windows OS so I'm angry that my cheap Acer is already obsolete.  I expected more from Acer.

After having calmed down after this shocking response from the Acer I hope that someone here has found a workaround.

  • Pavilion p6 - 2327c Desktop: Windows 10 upgrade problems

Just found on my computer has 'failed' every update of Windows 10.  I ran the diagnosis of HP, which fixed the error message, but whenever I click Update Windows 10, he told me to provide my email address and they will let me know when it is available.

Background, my system came with Windows 8, but I changed the appearance of Windows 7, for obvious reasons.  I am concerned, this is perhaps why my system will not download Windows 10?  Also, I found this "computers mfg by July 2013" would have no problem.  I bought my refurb in MAY 2013.

I also see that my C drive is showing 74 GB GB 918 available and that is in the red.  I have an external HD and would like to get rid of everything I have on the C drive, to get out of the red.

    Any help would be appreciated.

For my desktop HP product number is H3Z24AAR

    Thank you.

You can download Windows 10 from here to save waiting. Make sure you do a restore of your current system disk incase you need to go back and windows 10 won't let YOY, as he did with one of my PC. Alternatively, you can test for compatibility first to check if your PC is compatible, as suggested by Nuccii.

  • HP Pavilion & "Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor came across a problem.

Windows 7 would work on my laptop (HP Pavilion dv6132eu)?

So I used "Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor" of the Microsofts. Which caused the error "Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor stumbled into a problem that your scanning devices. Upgrade Advisor needs to be able to scan your devices to determine whether your computer is capable of running Windows 7 ".

The laptop is probably not good enough for Windows 7, why?

I assumed, the Upgrade Advisor would tell me, what pieces of hardware is / are not specific to Windows 7.

In a forum Technet, say, the Adviser is blocked by some HP hardware. Which?

    Best regards, Willem

    My problem has been resolved.

Previously, the problem with "Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor BETA.

I waited two months - now, I executed the Adviser again, resulting in "an important upgrade".

And guess: update Advisor works like a rocket, finishing with a nice report with minor problems.

So I think that the problem was a "Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor" - problem - not a HP computer laptop-problem.

    First, back up your installation of Windows 7;

  • After the upgrade to Windows 7 wireless problem

    Hello

I just upgraded my G70-460US to Windows 7 and everything was going smoothly until I realized that the integrated wireless LAN does not connect to my router. Whenever I try to connect, I get the message "Windows could not connect to . It's weird because everything works fine; Device Manager shows no problems, works of LAN cable, I can turn the WLAN with the button next to the power, I can see the list of available networks and so on. What is even more strange is that my router is currently without WPA or WEP, and again, I get the same message "Windows was unable to...» ».

    So far I have tried:

-Uninstall the driver for Atheros AR5009, reboot, and reinstall

-Support of Windows Update to get the latest drivers

-Check if my router (Microsoft MN - 700) is supported by Windows 7, which it does not match the Microsoft Win 7 Compatibility Center

-Check if my router is not broken (can connect wireless to my other computer so it is not broken)

-Reset the router to the factory settings

-Affecting the security of WPA - PSK, WEP network and secure (message all went the same "Windows was unable to...") »)

    -Uninstall HP Wireless Assistant

It is an upgrade from Vista Home Premium to 7 Home Premium via the disks to upgrade HP G70-460US. I think there is a problem with the autoconfiguration WLAN service, but I'm not expert enough to dig in. All advice is appreciated.

    Thank you

Wow, amazing... this topic saved my day. The new driver to the link did the trick.

I don't know why HP is not register this driver on their G70-460US page. The disc 'Upgrade HP Manager' provided with the Windows 7 upgrade disk should have updated all the drivers, but that doesn't seem to be for my case.

In any case, thanks to ken2010 and Daniel_Potyrala.
