Windows 7 will see 500 GB drive HARD PX1394e - 3g 50

Hello

I have a "500 GB HDD px1394e - 3g external 50"I use with usb. "
It works perfectly on 2 different PC that use Windows XP

But it does not work with Windows 7.
The drive is displayed in 'Computer', but told me to format is not an option, because it contains a lot of data... it has been formatted with ntfs.
In "Disk management", the player is presented with its partition supposedly in format "RAW". "."

The player works also with 2 different laptops using vista.

Does anyone have a solution? I want it to work with Windows 7.

I have a simple solution to your problem. Do a dump of your hard disk (windows xp), on another hard drive... format with windows 7 and then transferred the data from xp to 7... It should work especially if you reformat with the new structure of ntfs Windows 7... part of this solution can also try to plug in usb of your computer... and we say... baby long life

I tried power reduction when the phone was on, restart phone when hdd was turned on, plug in and out usbcables, but none of them seem to get Vista to recognize my HARD drive.

Someone has an idea to solve this problem?
Because the HARD drive will not appear in Device Manager.

    Hello

According to your message, you use the Vista operating system! I am mistaken!
I think that the 500 GB HARD drive was delivered with an additional power supply.
    You connect?

Generally, the only USB port provides 500mA of power.
It is not enough to start the 500 GB HARD drive and therefore additional power supply is necessary!
    Please check this!

PS: Have you had any software installation (drivers etc.) for this HARD drive?

  • Windows 7 will not install the driver for hp deskjet 6540

I followed all the instructions on the site of HP and windows will not find and install the driver for my HP 6540. How to make Windows do what should or is there a reliable place to download the driver from?

There is a driver recommended relatively complete for the Deskjet 6540 written by HP and Microsoft via Windows Update.  If the automatic install does not work, perform the following steps: connect the printer by USB.  Click Start, devices and printers, adding a printer, select the appropriate port and when the list of printers, click Windows Update in the lower right part of the dialog box.  It will take a few minutes for the update to complete, once that he choose the Deskjet HP (Hewlett-Packard no) 6500 Series.

If for some reason you can't use the driver provided through Windows Update, you can download the driver from the Windows Catalog site.  The Windows Catalog site requires the use of Internet Explorer.  For the Dsekjet 6500 Series there are three drivers listed.  11.4 Mo is the x 86 32-bit driver.  11.6 Mb file is x 64 64 bit version.  13.9 MB file is the least common architecture IA64.

  • Windows 7 will not install on my hard drive SATA III, even if the installer and menu of the BIOS are localization.

The controller is enabled for all SATA connectors and the drive is one of the SATA 3.0 Gbit/s ports, I've heard is a way to get through. However, it did not, either. Can anyone help?

Here is what I am dealing with, set up a few hours ago:
    -Intel DH77KC card
    -Intel Core i7 - 2600K 3.4 Ghz processor
-Disk hard Western Digital 1 TB black
-Corsair Vengeance 16 GB of Ram
    -Corsair TX650 80Bronze
    -Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
It starts, and then Windows 7 gets no more than it will not be installed on the hard disk. I can't make a new partition, either, nor can I format the drive in the window. The BIOS settings do not exactly help because I'm not using RAID and FDI does not do.
    Maybe there's something wrong.

Try to remove 3 branches if theyre 4 GB each. See if it installs. If so, put the 3 branches after windows has been installed

This BIOS is on it at the mo?

  • EliteBook 8730w: Hp 8730w Will support 500 GB of HARD drive?

I have a Hp 8730w and the vehicle currently has a 160 GB HARD drive. I have an additional 500 GB HARD drive.

8730w will be able to support it? I saw its specifications and found this info from Hp site:

You are well. It of an older laptop, but a true ICH9 SATA storage controller has therefore no effective size limit for a SATA hard drive. Do you need a manual, or do you know how to replace the hard drive physically? It's so old specs is a time when readers were smaller and the manual lists only the HP readers offered by the factory.

  • Toshiba 500 GB drive hard laptop usb will not play on my samsung tv

My Toshiba 500 GB - usb portable hard drive won't play movies I recorded on it through my tv, but it will be on my iMac. Is it because the format is Mac OS extended rather than MS-DOS (Fat 32) as my other USB key that makes? If so, how can I change the format

You ask on an EHD Toshiba working on your TV. If you want this to work, what I would recommend becoming an Apple TV ($59 refurbished from the Apple Online Store) and then use Apple TV to stream media.  If you are not familiar with the ATV please watch this link. Connect the TV directly on the EHD has nothing to do with your iMac or OS X, you really need an ATV to make it work with your iMac.

  • Can I reinstall my CD of Windows XP SP3 on a new drive hard if the one in that it has already been installed is lost or stolen? It will be always authentic?

I bought a genuine Windows XP SP3 CD (french version), installed and activated, it after finding that the windows came with my computer was a fake. A few months ago my computer crashed, and my father has taken recently to his colleague to repair. The guy stole my hard drive and replaced it with another one cause it new, my father will not understand it, but I did it, the hard drive, he gave a our files, but it was XP in English and a counterfeit version. Applications of now facing guys have lost another, so I intend to install my genuine XP CD on a new hard drive, is this possible? I mean if I do that it will still be authentic or will know it must get another cd (again)?

    Thank you, any help appreciated.

    Hello Haby-Habbes,

If you have real hologrammed CD and certificate of authenticity, so you have the Windows license.

Install it on the new hard drive. Good advice on all XP themes, visit the http://www.annoyances.org/exec/forum/winxp

  • Windows 7 does not recognize my 3 Seagate external drives but is very good with Western Digital and other sticks USB Flash. Windows Vista will see them.

My apologies if this is a query repeatedly, but I can't find a job anywhere and he leads me into the wall.

I have 3 external Seagate hard drives. All 3 range from about 3 years 11 months old, 1 TB - 3 TB of capacity, and I use them all from time to time to back up my media. In the past months, my Dell XPS ceased to recognize them, 95% of the time. Sometimes they will be Plug and Play and be fine, but otherwise the result when I plug them is coming the power light and the whirring disc fortunately but nothing on the laptop. They recognized themselves on my other machines running Vista. All other Flash memory devices are very good.

I also have a hard drive Western Digital external powered, almost identical, that Plug and play every time.

I tried all my ports and various cables and adapters. I tried them on other machines and they are very good, it seems to be just with my Dell and the Seagates. It recognizes everything that I plug in there from the iPhone to Flash Drives. It has all the latest drivers and Windows updates.

When they're not working, they do not appear in the devices, disk management, Explorer or UVCView Manager. When they do, all settings appear to be well. My laptop runs Windows 7 Edition Home Premium with Service Pack 1.

I assigned each their own letter drive, disabled power management and they are not protected by Word. The drivers are the standard Windows ones, because these devices do not use their own. I have the latest chipset drivers, everything works perfectly and is completely up to date.

When I run UVCView (when one of them does not work), it is said there is an error autour MaxPacketSize, current externally is set to 9 and it said "ERROR: low peripheral speed require bMaxPacketSize0 = 8" branded error. I don't know if this is a factor? This may explain why it's slower transfer data to my machine that has USB3.0 it does on another machine, it begins at 130 MB/s and falls to 30 in 10 seconds.

I tried all combinations of power off.

    I activated the network detection.

I uninstalled all the USB in the Device Manager and reinstalled after the start.

All 3 discs work instantly in my older Vista laptop runing.

I am a loss to understand. I'm pulling my hair out and I don't have a lot to lose these days! There must be a setting in my computer or on the Seagates but I checked all the usual places and some of the more irritable areas.

    Thank you in advance.

I'm surprised that the removal of the INFCACHE did not work.  Readers (all external references in fact) were cut at the time, right?  With a reboot after and before you plug anything back?

These instructions really come down to:

Unplug all USB devices other than the keyboard and mouse
    Open C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore
    INFCACHE.1 and rename it INFCACHE.old
    Restart the computer
Reconnect it (one at a time) each USB device - giving the system about 30 seconds per device to 'catch up '.

If you got on the rest as well your system files are good to go.

  • Satellite A660 - will not start initialize drive HARD failure

    Hello
first of all thank you for your time.

    Model: Satellite A660 (PSAW3A-07U00R)

The problem started yesterday, the computer has been going slowly as a closed application, so I held the off button until the pc is turned off. When I restarded the laptop, it went to a screen saying: start windows normally or repair Windows (recommended)

When started normally it hangs just a blank screen, repair Windows recommends a system restore to a previous point that did not work. As it crashes again. I tried pressing F8 and boot in safe mode, but even once it just hangs. Then, after having repeatedly tried safe mode and another system restore the computer then hangs when I press F8. After that, the computer passes in front of the Toshiba logo with F2 and F12 options screen (which still works) and then it rises the initialization has failed then shuts off and comes with start-up bootfailed failed with a few numbers and letters, then it goes to a small box entitled menu starting with 4 options. These are some
    Toshiba MK6465GSX HDD/SSD
    CD/DVD MAST * UJ141ES ABD - CMB
    FLOPPY DRIVE
    LAN

If I press ESC, it passes through the loop of bootfailed and ends at the same screen, if I press on enter "HDD/SSD Toshiba MK6465GSX" then he quickly returned to the screen and at the bottom it says [HDD/SSD Toshiba MK6465GSX] failed.

I do not understand why it has gotten worse over time. Can anyone think why it occurred and more importantly, how can I get my pc working again? Note: held 0 then start does nothing for me atm

    Best regards, Matthew

    Hello Matthew,.

To be honest, I agree with Akuma and it could be related to a dysfunction of HDD the error you described, but ensure 100% there s no software problem, you should try the Toshiba Recovery disk Windows installation. Something may be confused until the Windows installation and recovery of files on the HARD drive, so it cannot be started. Recovery disc will resolve this problem by formatting the HARD drive and restoring the settings box.

If it still doesn t it work s hardware malfunction but an authorized service provider can solve these problems under warranty for free. So just contact the guy and ask for help. ;)

If you have other questions or already solved the problem, please let us know!
