Windows 7 with Office 2003 is installed

Office 2003 is installed on my computer OK, but everytime I OPEN a FILE IT ME SAID THAT I have NOT ACCEPTED the END-USER (EULA).  I have to click OK and then ACCEPTED the EULA, again and again and again.  HOW CAN I STOP THIS FROM HAPPENING?  Help, please.

Hi Branston,

Run Office raised by right click and choose 'run as administrator '. You do this only once. More information on:

    SteveWin7,

If the problem exists only with the 2003 version, then we should probably get clarification on this. If you post your question with the Group Discussion of Microsoft Office, one of the experts it will be able to offer that you support with your question.

  • Windows XP and Office 2003?

I took my PC repair and now I have Windows XP and Office 2003 on my computer. Should I have them both? Something sure ' nuf slowed down my computer. I paid almost as much to repair I did for my PC. It came loaded with XP.  Thank you very much for your help!

Microsoft Office, including "Office 2003"is a previous version, is a 'suite' or a collection of programs, including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Powerpoint, etc.

If you delete "Office 2003", you'll remove all of these programs... that you may or may not care.

You are interested in the creation of documents (paper) or reading documents created by others? If so, you'll probably want to keep your Word.

You care no doubt on the use of sheets (Excel) spreadsheet or presentations (Powerpoint), but again, it is to you.

A potential problem is your email.  One of the programs included in Microsoft Office 2003 is "Outlook 2003", which is an e-mail program that you can or cannot use.  If you are using Outlook 2003 for your e-mail, you will be no longer able to do so, if you completely remove Office 2003.

If you were my grandmother, I would say that you do nothing unless your computer is low on hard disk space: click on 'My computer' and when it opens up, do a right click on 'disk Local (c)' and select Properties; "as long as the 'free space' (shown in magenta) is more that about 15% of the 'ability', you have nothing to worry about).

If you see a screen like this, I would say also that you have BOTH boxes down achecked and then click on the OK button (it will speed up your computer a bit and also free up disk space).  Whatever you do, DO NOT CHECK the box compress things.

  • Outlook 2007 can be used with Office 2003?

Is it possible to use Outlook 2007 in Microsoft Office 2003? I use Office 2003 at home and work, but I noticed that my iPhone and Google can interface with 2007 more easily. If I buy Outlook 2007, can I install it on Outlook 2003? I have no interest in installing Office 2007 because it would create havoc in the transfer of documents among my peers and co-workers.

At this point, it's more a intellectual curiosity than something I will do.

Thank you for taking the time to analyze it.

Uninstall Outlook 2003, install outlook 2007
You will not have full integration with Office 2003 and OL2007 components

BTW, Office 2007 can create docs in the old format

    Hi Darshan,

Please keep us updated on the issue. I appreciate your effort and time to resolve the issue. According to the description of the problem, it seems to be a problem specific to the office of 2013. I would recommend posting your query in the Forums Office. Office 2013 is watched by other computing professionals who would be more likely to help you.

Office 2003 that is installed on your computer to another is a an installation only. So not your duty go out and buy new software for it.

  • I am running XP with Office 2003. The Office 2007 SP1 is "forced" on me to automatic updates. Should I run the installation?

Whenever I visited the MS Update site, I was prompted to download the SP1 for Office 2007. I always ignored this suggestion because I run Office 2003. I don't know why I would even be asked to provide this update unless I have versions Express in Visual c#, VB, and Developer Web loaded on my computer. These applications need this update? Should I start the update, or I might do something that is not compatible with my Office 2003?

    Thank you

    Then you'll want to hide.

    1. stop the automatic updates service:

    Start > run > services.msc (enter) > [OK]

2 remove the contents of the download folder:

    Start > run > %windir%\SoftwareDistribution (enter) > [OK]
Open the download folder and delete its contents
    Close the window.

    3. go to the Windows Update Web site. Select CUSTOM and allow the analysis to be performed. Uncheck the box/deselect KB936982 and hide ("don't show me this update").

  • Overview of Windows 7 with Office 2010

I have Office 2010 and running Windows 7, I can use the overview of the find pane to view spreadsheets, Powerpoint and PDF files. But I can not view Word files. I uninstalled Word 2010, but I have Word 2003 is installed.

You have to have Office 2010 installed for the preview pane of the function? I realize that Adobe is not part of Office 2010, but I don't know why I'm having such a problem, the visualization of the doc and docx files.

  • Problems to test one of our applications on Windows RCx64 and Office 2003.

original title: incompatibility of ODBC architecture

    Our current production systems run Windows XP SP2 and Office 2002/2003. We have a few applications that require MDAC 2.8 (03.85.117 ODBC driver Version) and connect to our backend SQL 2000 SP4 on Windows 2003 Server Enterprise. We started in our Windows RC x 64 testgroup / Office 2003 and came to a problem with the following message appears when you try to use one of our applications (MicroEdge GIFTS 6.1). I'm going to guess it's more a problem with the client application then Windows 7, but I want to make sure I cover my bases. ;-) So it's the mistake;

    Technical Support News:

    [DatabaseOpen] Error #-2147467259

Seems fairly simple to solve, but alas, low version attempts have failed. Windows 7 has a version 06.01.7100 driver. I was wondering if anyone encountered a similar problem and if so you did reslove with magic, a stroke of luck or pure genius.

Delete the odbc connection, you have created with the Data Sources (ODBC) administration tool and implemented by using the 32-bit ODBC connection manager.

    Mike-

UH! After posting the added information in my last post, I have acted on an intuition, uninstalled, Office Live 1.5 from the Control Panel, rebooted, reinstalled and everything went well.

So I guess there's a glitch somewhere where Windows Live Update thought I needed the upgrade while in fact I have not, and he is involved in a problem that cannot be resolved.
