Windows 8 CD missing and the series!

Hi all...

I just bought a new HP laptop that comes with Windows 8. However, there is no record of reinstallation of Windows 8.

All the computers I have ever bought came with software disks! I had to reinstall windows several times on all the laptops I've owned. Not having no not disks feels vulnerable enough.

After about 10 months now it has slowed down a lot, it takes up to 5 minutes to reboot the system! so I would like to reinstall it from the beginning! but as I have all the windows 8 CD and no key Code, I was wondering how do it at all?

How to keep records of the facilities and a license key for Windows 8, so I can recover my laptop?

Hello:

You must make your own media recovery or buy a set of HP.

Here's how to make your own recovery media:

There is more no stickers Windows product keys. The key is encrypted in the BIOS in a new attempt to Microsoft to reduce the illicit use of product keys.

You can also download a simple ISO W8 file and that burn on a DVD or usb flash drive.  This will work with the product key that is in the BIOS.

Read Hüffer below station.

Use this tool to burn the file on a DVD or a usb flash drive (need a flash drive or 4 GB more).

  • I have a HP Pavilion Windows Vista Home Premium, and the D: drive is full.

I have a HP Pavilion Windows Vista Home Premium, and the D: drive is full. I don't understand how he got that way... but... I've never used windows to the top, however I do back up with my Norton Security.  I'm not a COMPUTER guru AT ALL and am very confused as to what must be saved for me to do a system restore.  I just made a backup on a 16 GB usb flash drive, which included photos, documents, email, contacts and music.  But what of my registry or my drivers I've updated on the latest updates of 2 years and windows?

So in plain English for the layperson to the computer, lol, can someone tell me...

    1. where should I back up to? (windows, norton?)

    2. what should I back up? EXACTLY, please. lol (I have hundreds of games, I don't want to back to the top if possible)

3 and... HOW MUCH ALCOHOL SHOULD I HAVE AVAILABLE WHILE TRYING THIS. LOL just kidding. Laughing out loud

    Hello

Updates must be installed in a certain order and no Service Pack must be installed unless and until it is offered through Windows Update.

    However, try these options:

Step 1: You can not reuse what already automatically downloaded and installed. You can however save updates and install them manually if you wish.

Step 2: You can create a system image on the computer. A system image is an exact copy of a disc. By default, a system image includes the drives required for Windows to run. In addition, it includes Windows and your system settings, programs and files. You can use a system image to restore the contents of your computer if your hard drive or computer ever stops working.

  • Is there a view/windows photo editor 8 and the DVD burner?

Is there a view/windows photo editor 8 and the DVD burner?

I am new to Windows 8.  I try to be positive and I hope that learning to use it in the coming year.

In Windows 7, there was a nice photo viewer/editor that let me also arrange slide shows, add music and burn the DVD the same.

Is there something like that in Windows 8, or possibly a download?

    Thank you, Lee

In regards to Yes Photo Viewer, Windows Photo Viewer is included in 8.0/8.1 0r Windows, you can install the latest version of Windows Essentials. With regard to the DVD recorder, that she was abducted by design, you can buy Windows Media Center to 10,00 US $ if you have Pro version or update Propak for US $100.00. Otherwise, there are many others, burning options - PowerDVD from Cyberlink is my choice.  Hope this helps and if you need help please post and we will be happy to help you.

I am a user of Picasa for a long time conversion to Lightroom. I share photos with dropbox on a MAC, a Windows computers, storing images and the catalog in dropbox. I'm able to share the LR catalog, but on the second system images can be found as a prefix system DB files have different user names. Any ideas?

I've been using the trial version of Adobe Premiere Elements on my Mac and decided to buy it yesterday. However, when I clicked on the next button to continue trial ('buy now' I think he said)... • WOW kept is disconnection on home premium Windows 7 problem! and the error on the map of Ndivia.

I already deleted WTF, interference and file cache and still issue of disconnection and I read card window update ndivia had error on update because that's not 32 bits, it suppose to be 64-bit.   It remains a problem.  Please help me to solve this problem of disconnection on world of warcraft.

I'm with window 7 home premium and using Ndivia Genforce 6158 THE.

    Hello

Rather than update the Nvidia card drivers on the system, I suggest you to uninstall the drivers as well as software from the Device Manager and then download the drivers for Ndivia 6150 THE on the Nvidia site and install it on the system and check.

    a. Click Start and type device manager in the search box start and press to enter. This will open the Device Manager window.

    b. click on the graphics card, then right-click on the driver and then click on uninstall.

Note: Place a checkmark near the uninstall software with the driver to remove the software.

    c. download the NVIDIA drivers from the link below and check.

  • Upgrade now display is different, restore the missing and the system functions was useless...

So my computer was installing auto updates and I accidentally closed. Next time on all the icons were huge and overall display of "old." Other random changes: sleep and Hibernate are currently not available for me, when I closed the Explorer but windows open and put the mouse on the icon Explorer shows me written page name whereas before he showed me a small version of the actual page... Really sucks and help would be appreciated...

    johnleer,
According the description, it sounds as if your display driver may have been corrupted and has returned to a default value.  I suggest you make sure you have the latest display driver on the site of hardware manufacturers.

  • Windows 10 improvement - battery and the State of charge is displayed does not.

For some reason any we have accidentally updated to W10 on the laptop this afternoon. Overall, it seems to work ok, but the only thing that we have noticed, is that the charge battery etc status icon is now displayed in the taskbar right tlower.

When I plug the charger seems to be detected because I get the battery/charger Acer overlay displayed in the center of the screen for a short time - just like he used to. I don't think this is a feature of Windows, most likely a an Acer function?

I went into Device Manager > batteries and emit a "Search for hardware changes" and the battery symbol then appeared in the bottom as right task bar usually. Plug and unplug the charger has been shown in the icon so it seems to work and we were 'okay '.

Then, I thought I had better perform a restart of the laptop to make sure it was really now work and stable. After you reboot, the icon did not reappear!

Tried the same trick in Device Manager but no luck.

I did not have any other software upgrades on the Acer.

I hope someone can help me get this rather vital icon to reappear constantly.

    Yes, it is applicable.

  • Professional Windows XP search page and the System Restore page do not work.

I recently did a clean install of Windows XP Professional on a laptop. I then upgraded to SP 3. I wanted to update some of my drivers and when I tried to open the page the system restore to create a restore point, the page is empty.  Later when I had questions, I tried to do a search and I have basically the same question. The search page opens with the puppy in the blue box, but nothing else.  Someone has seen this before and can help you. I can do another clean install if I have to, but I try to avoid it if I can.  Thank you in advance for any help I can get.

    Jayme

No matter what media you used to install XP.

You don't have symptoms consistent with a need to run sfc/scannow.

If sfc/scannow solves your problems, I'll send you (or your charitable organization preferred) US $100.

That Microsoft technical support engineers constantly not to mention, is that if you have installed SP3 from a download and your XP installation CD bootable real is not SP3 (what is?) running sfc/scannow will upset you constantly to insert your installation of SP3 CD and you will last anything else than a big frustrating waste of your time.  It will not help you in any case.

@Microsoft support Engineer Imran M: Please explain why you think the sfc/scannow will correct this problem.

Also, you have none of the symptoms consistent with a need to run the fix it.  Next, you need not to "check if it helps" - you need your fix.

In fact, I've recreated the problem on my system and run the fix it and here is what he said:

We did not identify any problems and that's why no fixes have been applied.

Here is my usual full answer to the symptoms you describe.  If you have not been on the Internet with your own installation, your system should not have malware on it (yet), but I have at least "would fix the immediate question" as shown below by the three mentioned DLLs:

If your system restore page display only the title bar 'System Restore' or your user accounts settings page don't watch the title bar of "User accounts" and the screen where information needs to be is an empty white box, and/or your Windows Search function shows just Rover (the animated search dog)...

System Restore is a frequent target of attacks by malicious software.  If SR was working before and is now afflicted, run some scans and then fix any problems.

Remember that the system restore is not a time machine.

Your system is currently or has been reached by malicious software.

You can now fix the symptom and scanning for malware later, or you can now find malware and fix the remains later.  I recommend just fixing the symptom of the empty page and forget to do the scans.  The symptom of the problem of fixing and fixing the problem are two different things.

Download, install, update and do a full scan with these free malware detection programs:

    Malwarebytes (MMFA): http://malwarebytes.org/
    SUPERAntiSpyware: (SAS): http://www.superantispyware.com/

They can be uninstalled later if you wish.

The scans using own it may also be necessary to re-register some dll (or you can do this part first, but you still have to do the scans).

    Just fix the immediate question:

Looks like your file jscript.dll became somehow not registered so you can re-record it.

There are probably a few other things that do not work you know yet, so fix them all at once.

Re-registration of these DLLs is correct, even if they do not need renewal.  You can also re-register the dll before the scans that can solve the problem, but the scans are always recommended.

Click Start, run, and in the box enter orders following one at a time.  Click the OK button to execute each command one at a time.

    regsvr32 jscript.dll
    regsvr32 vbscript.dll
    regsvr32 /i mshtml.dll (it's a look of slash)

The last order for mshtml load the DLL but can also contain a harmless warning depending on your environment.
