Windows 8 deleted my Admin account with a regular one?

I tried to do a video editing for school, so I connect my iPad to copy video clips and try to install an application (on the account admin, our default one that we don't have another). The app wants a login, so I have connection with mine. After finishing, I try to log on to the admin account, to see that is he. It is not even under the button "logout". Apps and even PC settings will not open. What is c?

You said that you put your password into an application and then he does this?  What app did?  If I were you I run a system restore quick return to 24 hours ago and repair the damage he has caused.  This restoration will not change your files, it returns only return all the values of registry changed.  It takes about 2 minutes, and if you don't like you can cancel it, so you don't lose to try.

Original title: Hi I have a windows 7

You must be at least one account Admin on the PC.  It's just the way that Windows 7 works.

The account that you used to make the new Admin account must also be an administrator full - account only administrators can make new accounts.

Of running Windows 7, it is recommended to use a user account Standard for all daily activities.  In addition to that, make two password protected administrator accounts & write passwords.  Make a password reset disk for each account on the PC.

On the removal of Maxewell girl - the account is deleted [this is possible by an Admin]

    1. go to the daughter of C:\Users\Maxewell's and copy all the files of this user that you want to continue

2 using Control Panel, user accounts, manage another account.

3 you can then remove the entire Panel Contorl system, advanced system, Advanced tab settings user profile, select user account profiles - settings button - then click on the button Delete

    4. go on girl C:\Users\Maxewell's and verify that the files are deleted

I used my PC for a long time now using my account online, but has recently created a local account too. The original online account created a local folder with the name XXX_000 in the USERS folder.  Without thinking, I created a local account with the same account name name! (XXX_000). I realized my mistake, but I don't know how to remove the local account without removing all of the files for the account online! How can I remove the local account without affecting online account files?

Do not try to remove the account from the folder.  To do inside the PC settings app and it should be good.

Recently bought a new iMac, I used the wizard to merge. She added a new my old mac admin account. Now I have two admin accounts.

I want to use the old Mac that has been transferred through and get rid of the other.

I'm going to SysPrefs/users / groups, unlock, but the-(minus) is grey and the other admin is grey too.

What to do what to do.

You can't delete an account once logged in it. You must log on to the account that you want to keep. Then go to users and groups, open the pane, select the account to be deleted and click the sign less.

  • Only the user is a Standard user, how do I get an admin account?

    Hello

    Windows 7 Pro

When I set up this new computer, I created the main account as a standard user. Bad move. Now when I try to make changes, I invited him UAC with an inactive "Yes" button. It is said to enter an administrator password - it is not one that I know. I'm not able to use the cmd as administrator either. I have to reinstall Windows to fix this? I tried several suggestions that I found on the web (safe mode, etc.) and nothing gets done by the UAC.

    Thank you!

    OT:

Only the user is a Standard user,

Sorry, I have reflected on something else when I wrote 'choice 4 '.

First, note the comment at the top of the page I linked to:

Theoretically if you do not have an administrator account, the built-in Administrator account should be available in safe mode (see also related articles). For any identified reason, the built-in Administrator sometimes to be unavailable in safe mode.

So, the first thing to do is to reboot safe mode and see if the built-in Administrator account is here.  I will not delete my Admin accounts to test this situation.

Assuming that the built-in Administrator account is NOT available in Mode safe...

The link I gave you, the two method I (32-bit only) and method II require you to "open a command prompt at startup" and give a link for directions to do so.  If you go to this link, there is a 'Option One' which uses the installation of Win 7 disc and a 'Option 2' that tells you to use the menu of Boot Options to boot into "Safe Mode with command prompt."

However, Safe Mode with command prompt not automatically you will get an account with computer administrator privileges, and I suspect that you will not be able to make registry changes suggested that way, despite the generally good reputation of sevenforums.com.   So, use the Windows 7 installation DVD to display the "System Recovery Options" and then select "Command Prompt" there.

Assuming that you do not receive the built-in administrator enabled account, log in, create a new account and give administrator privileges.  If you intend to use this account for anything other answering the UAC guests, create a second administrator account, "just in case."

Finally, open an elevated command prompt (right click > run as administrator) and use the following command to disable the built-in Administrator account:

NET user administrator / active: No.

  • I can't perform a restore of the system after the removal of the admin account?

Original title: admin deleted, now impossible to restore

I bought my laptop from my work for personal use and remove the admin users. When you try to download anything it gives me an error now, "the requested operation requires an elevation" when I put my user name and password. How can I solve this problem? Can't even do a restore without credentials. When I looked at the accounts, mine is the only one listed. Is there another way I can find out what is the admin account? My work told me a few options for the password, but was not really sure because they put in place so long ago.

Remove the admin account amounted to throw away the key of your safe. A better idea would have been to create and test an alternative admin account. Here's how you can recover from this disaster:

    1. Set your BIOS so that it uses the DVD drive as its primary boot device.
    2. Start the computer with your Windows 7 repair CD.
    3. Press a key when prompted to boot from the DVD.
    4. Select 'PC Repair' in the menu.
    5. Select 'Repair' when prompted.
    6. When you are prompted, select System Restore.
    7. Configure Windows to a point before you deleted the admin account.
    8. Plan ahead a little and create, test and document an alternative admin account, same as you have a spare emergency House key. This will save you a lot of trouble.

  • hidden admin account is unlocked, how to show only in Mode safe

Recently, I've unlocked the Admin account hidden in my copy of Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit.  Currently, the account presents itself as one account of another in the normal logon window, and icons for other users.

I would like to know if there is a way to hide the account in the logon window and only allow him to show when it is safe mode is enacted (as in Windows XP).

    Hello

This allows try again. It is not good to use the hidden administrator account, as this is the last possible road
a difficulty if things go really wrong. So make another ADMIN account with your password even. You
then have two accounts administrator and any number of user accounts set up (not to mention
the moment hidden the ADMIN account).

How to create a new user account in Vista (except to raise it to the status of ADMIN)
    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/93009-user-account-create.html

You can have the login screen requires a name and a password so well that you can open a session with a
Account ADMIN, he is not named. Also we can connect with any valid user account.

How to make Vista require a user name and password when connecting
    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/89812-logon-username-password.html

How to hide or show an account in Vista and Windows 7
    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/94805-user-account-hide.html

Then, as explained in the link mode without failure in the previous answer, that you can connect with any account
you have available and enable the hidden account if necessary (which you shouldn't have to)
two ADMIN accounts that you can use) while is safe.

    I hope this helps.

  • Corrupt admin account, now I can't do anything.

so this problem started when my computer crashed when I was playing a game so I'll restart my computer, so I get to the login screen and I click on my account sign in ect, but when I do I get this error service user profile service does not have the connection. That account was the only Admin account on my pc so I'm going on my guest account to hope to find a solution, so I watch this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vEyxD6ZG-jI) I get to a point where you rename the profile list things and I can't, I get an error renaming key. After seeing this error I am trying to find a solution for that as well and I see that I must run regedit as admin, but when I do it says that Regedit.exe is not found so I decided to try it this way, I find another where you copy your files from the user to another one and then I try to open my folder of the user of the admin account and I can't use the word of past admin to get in as I type right, I do everything and the dosent work admin. So I try and see if admin password works on aything else and it will not work. I think my sali corrupt admin account with the password pls help as im stuck.

This account is the only admin account on my pc

-> Big mistake. You should always have at least two admin accounts, even you have at least two keys of the House and for the same reason.

It is said that Regedit.exe is not found

-> The file is located in the folder c:\Windows\System32. You see it there?

You copy your files from the user in another

-> Another what? Can be a little more specific?

You should now use your repair Windows CD to start the computer in Windows Repair Mode, and then use the system restore to set Windows in a few days. If you do not have such a CD, ask a friend to burn you through the control panel / backup and restore. It is absolutely essential if you are maintaining your own PC.
