Windows 8 is a mess - I reinstalled Windows 7, what pleases me. Please confirm that there will be continued support for Windoiws 7

It is still not easy in Windows 8 to close an application! The only bits I liked in it are the bits of desktop Windows 7, so I finally reinstalled Windows 7, which is perfectly adapted to my needs, unlike Windows 8, which seems to be all in all. I use and have used Windows as the platform for development of ideas since many years, but the latest version appears more oriented than creator-oriented consumer and may be where our paths diverge. Which brings me to the question: Windows 7 and Windows 7 support will continue to be available as a separate option in the foreseeable future? Or should I be looking in the direction of Linux?

You will not be able to have Windows 7 supported forever, even if no one expected that Windows XP would be always supported 11 years later and with the support of end of 2014, its realization, another for the operating system. I see its a similar scenario to happen for Windows 7, tested and proven. Even when Microsoft officially decides end of support, you will still be able to use it.

Another thing, I've been to restaurants, businesses, banks and they are always running BACK. I was even a taylor, who runs a program for creating patterns under Windodws 95. It comes 15 years after its release. Bill Gates once said, you could buy a license from us and never buy another product or license from us again.

Microsoft said that the future will consist of two PC on Windows 7 and windows 8 devices that would suggest there will be a coexistence between the two. Microsoft also touted Windows 8 as a liberation that share many of the same features that makes just more manageable than Windows 7.

Another thing, companies won't switch to Windows 8 at night especially if they are being deployed to Windows 7, which is now a proven product. Companies will perhaps deploy Windows 8 in some scenarios, such as mobile, workers of the word employees (mainly vertical industries) and possibly introduce it on new systems as they do PC refresh cycles.
