OK, I tried to download updates from windows updates, but it keeps giving me the same error 8007000 b. code I tried the real resource setautoreset C:\ solutionfsutil and he says it works, but then I went to install the updates and then it gives me the same error code. I also tried the 'fix it' application to the Board of microsoft, which does not solve the problem. I even went and reinstalled windows with the cd that came with my laptop and still... nothing! I am at a total loss, so if anyone has an idea on how to solve this problem I am entirely grateful. Thanks in advance.

Error code 1935, Code 643 & Code 8007000 b appears when I try to update Windows
Hi, I hope I'm posting in the right part of the forum. I just had to restart my computer after a virus & I now get 1935 error code, Code 643 & Code 8007000 b appears when I try to update.
There are currently something like 100 updates of odd windows trying to download right now & that none will not charge.
The full error message for Error 1935 is - Microsoft.VC90.ATL, version = "9.0.30729.1', the public key token ="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b"processorArchitecture ="x 86", type = win32" HRESULT:0x800736B3 "
I don't know if this makes no sense.
A small digression - when I try to update Java, the error message contains something about a connection "proxy" regarding the internet connection. I'll contact my ISP that do of course all is on their end.
I don't have a great understanding of the side 'tech' of computers so I hope this is enough information. Thanks for any help you can give me :)
I'm leaving the Vista operating system. Are you sure that you are now free of infection?

http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/956699/How to reset the Windows Update settings?
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/971058Otherwise, you will need to consider more updates failed if no help not reset the settings of WU etc..
1. open Windows Update by clicking the Start button, all programs and then click Windows Update.
2. in the left pane, click view update history.
3. find an update for Windows that has failed to install, and then double-click the update to view more information.
Updates that have failed to install will display failed under status, next to the name of update.
4. in the Windows Update dialog box, next to the details of the error, review the error code for the update has failed.
5. click on the links in the dialog box Windows Update under more information or help and Support to try to solve the problem, then try to reinstall updates by using Windows Update in Control Panel or by mail with the error code and maybe someone may be able to help others.
Note If you see the error code '800f0826' in your history, it indicates a previous update failed to install and additional facilities prevent the updates. If the information reveals 800f0826 move on the following, until you get the update that displays a different error code of 800f0826.
Once you have located the update that failed and caused the problem, so that must be fixed before you can install other updates.

MY computer has stopped downloading of updates due to an era 8007000 b. What does that mean? Donald strickland
Hello donaldstrickland,
Thank you for using Microsoft answers Forums.
Solution:
Windows Update, Error 8007000 b
If you receive the 8007000 b error when you try to install updates for Windows 7, the Windows file system transaction log is damaged. The transaction log is used by the Windows file system to recover when a file error occurs. To correct this error of update, you clear the log. Here's how:
To clear the file system transaction log
1. click on the Start button and in the search box, type command prompt.
2. in the list of results, right-click Guest, and then click Run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
3. at the command prompt, type the following command and press ENTER. (This command assumes that drive C is the drive where Windows 7 is installed. If Windows is installed on another drive, change the drive accordingly letter.)
true fsutil resource setautoreset C:\
4. you should see a message saying that the operation was completed successfully. If this is not the case, check your spelling and try again.
5 Type Exit and press ENTER to close the administrator: command prompt.
6. restart your computer.
7. download and install the update again.
That should solve the problem.
Thank you.UDAY $012 please let me know that whether the solution worked or not, I thank you and appreciate your comments. URGO

all of the updates fail with Error 8007000 b code
The computer of my mother (HP Pavilion running Windows Vista 32-bit Home, 3 GB of RAM) is no longer up-to-date windows. Every time she trieds to run the MS Updater it fails with the error code 8007000 b. She has not been able to update in the last 3 months or more of what I can tell. I tried everything to a restore point (no luck) to download Windows Fix - it. That did not help either. Short of reinstalling Windows completely with a system restore, is there another way to solve this problem?
Some additional data - she rolls Kaspersky Internet Security 2011 and I tried to turn off during the process of "update" to see if maybe that was the cause. It wasn't.
Thank you
Mark

Not being able to do something with these points of shared files to a problem of permissions with the files.

No idea what to do now. I tried to select only some and even unstalling all updates and walk away with the prize, but nothing helped. I ave nothing else running while I update - except Microsoft Security Essentials, but I even tried to disable the protection in real time, just in case. I checked the current process (from all users) as well. All drivers are up-to-date and legitimate. Material is all compatible and still pretty soon, lots of storage to drive HARD to the left, etc.
Here are the updates failed, copied and pasted in the same order, if this is useful: [-Cumulative Update for Media Center for Windows 7 x 64-based Systems (KB977863), a security update for Windows 7 for x 64-based systems (KB971468), a security update for Windows 7 for x 64-based systems (KB975560), a security update for Windows 7 for x 64-based systems (KB978251)] Update for Internet Explorer 8 Compatibility mode list for Windows 7 for x 64-based systems (KB978506) update for Rights Management Services Client for Windows 7 for x 64 systems (KB979099), update for Windows 7 for x 64-based systems (KB976264), update for Windows 7 for x 64-based systems (KB976662), update for Windows 7 for x 64-based systems (KB977074) [, update for Windows 7 for x systems 64 (KB978637), update for Windows 7 for systems based on the x 64 (KB979306), games for Windows LIVE V3.2-]
There are a few updates which installed OK. Pretty well the other critical and recommended updates for Windows 7 HP64, I guess. I could list these if need be.
Ideas as a) what is the problem, and b) what can I do about it? Thanks in advance.
