OK so I started a program of windows 8, I hide and go to my desktop and use chrome etc. programs all minutes from this program, I hid continues to appear, I close it and it keeps popping up for 3 - 5 times and then it disappears. Anyone know what causes this?

PROBLEM SOLVED (for me)!  I had this problem for a week on my new computer.  Seemed that the 'Start' button has been continually pressed.  Do you happen to have a wireless keyboard that you have changed out for another which is always close to your computer... like I did.  Turns out I forgot to pull the battery in my wireless keyboard and also has not entered the USB for remote transmitter/receiver.  I got the keyboard on a shelf above the computer.  The button 'Start' was pressed against a book so it was always "pressed" and always communicate with the computer.  Just happened to do that, when I thought if something goes wrong with my original keyboard.  When I out took it of the shelf, the problem stopped.  I hope this helps!

  • On the computer windows 7, start menu keeps popping up randomly

Original title: Start Menu appears randomly

My son has used Windows 7 during nearly 2 years - for Dell i7 laptop. He told me that the start menu appears by chance - it's boring - can cancel by clicking Esc or elsewhere, but it happens once again without any real reason. He told me that others report the same problem. Is there a solution?

There is a registry setting that governs the operation of the Windows key. An automated FixIt and the manual instructions are available in the following article.

I might also look in touch with native screen laptop hardware failure as well. If you have the material available, test with another external touch screen with touch screen of the laptop off to see if the problem resolves.

  • Taskbar and Start menu keeps disappearing

My taskbar and Start Menu keeps disappearing and I cannot get it back. Does anyone else have this problem?

    Original title: taskbar problem

Thanks for the suggestions... I used method 1 and 2. Method 1 does not work and the method 2 worked until it got to the point when it asked me to insert my installation CD... I don't not. This computer did not come with a CD. Installation info are on a D drive. How do you it?

    Hello EJHX,

You can do this by changing the special folder of the Source registry path. You can use the Update to do, or you can do it manually.

[1] method: The use of tune-up to set up special folders

    • Open the integrator of the tune-up or the State Bar Directory
    • Select the Customize Windows from Start Tune-Up Center
    • Click options preferences and behaviors
    • In the left pane, select system under Administration
    • In the right pane, select special folders tab controller
    • Select "Windows configuration files" in the "Special feature" column in the list, then click on 'change '.
    • Find the folder and click OK when finished
    • Click OK again to save the settings
[2] method: Using Windows Registry Editor to configure the SourcePath value

    • On the start menu, select "Run."... »
    • Insert: regedit.exe
    • In the left pane, navigate to the following key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft Computer\ My
      \Windows\CurrentVersion\Setup
    • In the right pane, double-click the value SourcePath "' which is a string value
    • Insert the desired location, and then click OK to save the settings
NOTICE: You can change the setting back after you are done after the execution of SFC.
    Thank you
    Have a nice day :)
  • Sony Bravia KLV-40R452A. Green light keeps blinking and the Menu keeps popping up.

Hi, I have a Sony Bravia KLV-40R452A. Green light on the model continues to Flash. The TV starts, but the Menu keeps popping up.

I have reset to factory settings with the arrow upwards on the remote and turning the TV power on the back of the screen. It did not improve the issue. I changed the plug too, same result.

PS - I keep seeing that support here just redirects questions from the Asia-Pacific region at their Web site. There is no community online in Asia-Pacific. Please try to resolve my problem here. At least try.

Had a chat with Sony Online service. I am posting this here in case someone else has the same problem.

If the menu entry keeps popping up, just press and hold the menu behind the LCD (not on remote) button for 10-15 seconds until a message arrives "demo mode: Off '.

    This solved my problem.

  • Windows 7 taskbar and start menu large icons are either missing (empty by default) or do not show the right program.

I use Windows 7 Home Premium on an AMD Athlon (TM) II X 4 630 2.80 GHz with 6.0 GB of RAM (64 bit OS). PC is up-to-date with the latest updates and use Norton Anti Virus.

I used this PC for several months with no problems. After doing some research in my menu of the taskbar Windows Explorer and start icons have become corrupted. The links always work but do not show the right program.

I tried several things to fix this. I removed everything in the start menu and taskbar, rebooted, added a few back but the problem still exists. I deleted the icon cache file (renamed to db.old), restarted, problem still exist. I made a recovery of a checkpoint system before the problem was still not fixed. When I go to small icons, the problem disappears. The problem only seems to appear when you use large icons in the bar of tasks and the start menu.

Based on what I've tried so far is there any other suggestions on how to fix this?

This tutorial is to rebuild the icon cache when the cache is corrupt.

    Option One is easier.

  • my Start menu keeps popping up without touching I thought I had a virus so I reformatted and its still doing the same thing

    its all in the title

Looks like you may have a virus or other malware. Get your updated antivirus program and boot into Safe Mode. Note that some viruses can hide from your normal antivirus program, so you really need to scan in Safe Mode. To enter in Safe Mode when you turn on first, press F8 on every seconds until you get the menu, and then select Safe Mode. Then run a complete system scan.

If that suits him fine. If this is not the case, use system restore to go back to an earlier date at the beginning of the problem. To run system restore, click Start-> programs-> Accessories-> System Tools-> system restore. Click on the box that says show more restore points.

You can check the corrupted system files. Open an administrator command prompt and run SFC if the above does not help. Click START, and then type sfc in the search box, right-click to SFC. EXE and click run as administrator. Then, from the command prompt type sfc/scannow.

Finally if all else fails, you can look at the rather cryptic system event log. To make, click Start-> Control Panel-> administration-> event viewer tools. Once in Event Viewer system log-click and scroll entries looking for these "error" with indicator see if you can find guidance on where the problem may be.

I hope this helps. Good luck.

  • All my shortcuts on the desktop and start menu - all programs are showing up with blank windows pages icon.

ALL my shortcuts on the desktop and start menu - all programs are showing up with blank windows pages icon and the name of the file and .lnk I uninstalled something and it happened that I tried system recovery and everything else that I uninstalled the States are back but this how can I solve this?

    Hello

    1. what changes have been made to your computer before the problem?

Follow these steps and check if they help.

    Step 1:

I would say you rebuild the icon cache and check if the problem persists.

    a. press the keyboard Windows logo key combination + R to bring up the Run dialog box.
    b. type cmd and press ENTER to open the command prompt window.
    c. in the command prompt window, type the following commands pressing ENTER after each line:
    Taskkill /f /im explorer.exe
    attrib-h "%userprofile%\Local Settings\Application Data\IconCache.db.
    del "%userprofile%\Local Settings\Application Data\IconCache.db.
    Explorer.exe

    d. this restart Windows Explorer and rebuild the cache icons as needed.

    Step 2:

Test the issue in a new user account.

    Hello

Icons or shortcuts should be in this folder:

    C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start demarrer\programmes\accessoires\outils tools

If they do not exist, just recreate them. Click on file/new/shortcut and the disk cleanup are a path to:

    %SystemRoot%\system32\cleanmgr.exe (32-bit systems)
    %SystemRoot%\SysWOW64\cleanmgr.exe (64-bit systems)

You can copy this shortcut on your desktop or quicklaunch bar for easy access. Good luck, Rick Rogers, aka "Crazy" - Microsoft MVP http://mvp.support.microsoft.com Windows help - www.rickrogers.org

  • How come back initially on an editing session without closing the entire program and start again?

How come back initially on an editing session without closing the entire program and start again?

    Hello

There are two answers to this. If you have not saved the image since the opening, you can restore the file Menu-Revert or F12 and that will bring back you at the beginning. A more elegant solution is the historical Panel.

Photoshop has a history panel (Windows Menu-history) that keeps track of everything you do on an image and allows you to go back in the flow of work and in effect then go ahead if you change your mind. The original image is always registered as a snapshot and then subsequent action recording. So you can come back not only the original image, but any previous change after opening. You can even take your own snapshots which is a useful feature.

    Hope that helps

  • I use Pale Moon x 64. The icon in the task bar and start menu looks like a 'computer' and not on the icon Moon pale-why is this?

My computer is Windows 7-64 bit.
I recently installed the Moon pale x 64 on the right site.
Everything works fine, except that the "icon" of the particles in the taskbar and start menu is not the blue moon. I wonder why this is and how I can change it.
This occurred during the installation of the particles.

Best is to ask PaleMoon support about it.

    http://Forum.Palemoon.org/

PaleMoon is not an official project of Mozilla, is a 3rd generation of part 'Community' that is "powered by Mozilla".
