I'm filling out the 'add a window of credentials' I typed in my outlook address in the first column, you enter a user name, (the I log on my computer, then made a password.)  What I am doing wrong? I get this windows cannot save this information. Make sure all fields are filled.  They are all filled, I put the right information in these places. Please someone help me. Thank you.

Hi Amy,

Thanks for posting your request here.

I am happy to know that the issue of the Windows credentials has been set.

Here in this scenario about administrator rights, I would like to know some information about this problem so that we can help you further.

1. using Internet Explorer to download programs?

2 is it limited to any specific program or with all the downloads of Internet Explorer?

3. What is the error message or an exact error code?

4. have you made changes on the computer before this problem?

I would suggest trying the following methods and check if it works for you.

Method 1:

If you use Internet Explorer to download programs, then run the fixit available in the link below and check if that makes a difference
Improve performance and security in Internet Explorer (IE)

Method 2:
If you use Internet Explorer to download programs, then check the permissions on the Internet settings in the registry
(a) click the Start button > type regedit in the search box and press on ENTRY.

(b) navigate to the location below
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings

(c) right click on Internet Settings and select permissions

(d) ensure that your user profile has full control
Important this section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, click on the number below to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

I went to the Manager of credentials and entered the address that I'm trying to get, but he would never remember the identification information I listed.

You don't need the Windows credentials to get into your router. All you need is the following:

    • The CD installation or a look at the manual via the web page of the company.
    • Details set at the factory for the admin account & password.
    • A paperclip to push into the small hole in the back to reset as long as you plant.

    1. If you go in Safe Mode, will you be able to run a full scan of your account?

    2. in safe mode, find you the admin rights at all?
If so, do a system restore. Choose a date when you don't have a problem as your restore point.

If so, please download Malwarebytes. It is very good for fishing to the virus. Use it.
If you are unable to download, you can go to your friend who has a computer, download the Malwarebytes and burn it to a flash drive or a CD, take home and run it on your computer.

  • Windows credentials on 2 domains

    Hello.

We use 2 fields. In one area, we have all our computers (Windows 7) and on the other domain is our file servers.

Our PDC is Server 2012 and the domain controller file Server 2003.

On the main domain, the user is called User1 and on the area of the file server, the user is called USER2.

If I maps file servers using "map network drives" in Windows Explorer and I mark "Reconnect at logon" and 'Connect using different credentials' everything seems to work perfectly. After reboot I don't need to type my file server password.

Now I disconnect the mapped file server and remove all the entries in the credentials manager and map the network drive using the command line:

    "Net use Z: \\Fileserver\Share FileserverPassword / User: Fileserver\User2 / Persistent: YES.

    "cmdkey.exe / add: file server / user: Fileserver\User2 /Pass:FilserverPassword.

I have the same password on my domainuser and file server - but this isn't the same user name.

After reboot I don't need to type my file server password - I can visit her profile.

    BUT...

If I disconnect the mapped file server and remove all the entries in the credentials manager and then change my maindomain password so I don't have the same password, then everything goes wrong.

    Yet once I map using «Net use...» ' and 'cmdkey.exe.

I now have access to the file server, but after a reboot I have red X on the mapped drive.

If I click on the drive, I asked for a password.

In the credentials manager, I can see the input from the user and the password.

Why I lost access to training after reboot when the password for maindomain\user1 and filedomain\user2 is different?

  • How to use the Windows credentials

I feel like a complete model, but no matter what I try I can not it works. I want to be able to do is save my login information for each of the sites I use. I'm afraid, that I need a black and white-point Blank explanation-knowing exactly what I put in the box. Sorry, but this technology has long passed me.

    Hello
    1. are you referring to how to save your user name and password when you log on the Windows operating system or are you referring to save the password and usernames you type in different websites in your browser?
    2. what browser do you use? What is Internet Explorer?
You can make Internet Explorer remember your connection and the passwrods by using a feature called Auto complete. See the following article for more detailed information:
Fill in website forms and passwords automatically
You can also use Windows 7 Credential Manager is to remind the user names and passwords for computers, websites, or network comptuers. See the following article for more on this topic:

  • Accidentally deleted the windows credentials

    Hello

I accidentally deleted my account under windows with all its letters of nobility. Now I can't access the Internet on my pc. I can open my email but not other Web sites. It displays the 400 error message or say ssl not found. I ve not done no backup of credentials. I'm worried how can I pick up my credentials? Help, please

    Hi Renon,

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

    (a) you have any admin account in the system?

    (b) the question has started happening recently?

    (c) when exactly you get 400 error?

If you delete the administrator account, you lose Admin privileges on your system. If you have another admin account, you can transfer the data to this account and make that your main account. To share your files and folders to other account, see the following article:

    Share files and folders

If, however, your problem has occurred recently and that you didn't do any significant changes to the system, you can try to restore your system to an image created before when the problem occurred. To run the system restore, refer to the following steps:

To restore your PC to an earlier point in time

    1. Enter in the right edge of the screen and then click on Search.
(If you use a mouse, point to the upper right of the screen, move the pointer of the mouse down and then click find.)

    2. Enter the Control Panel in the start search box and press or click on Control Panel.

    3. Enter the collection in the control panel search box, and then tap or click recovery.

    4. Press or click open system restore, and then follow the instructions.

Note: When you use system restore to restore the computer to a previous state, the programs and updates that you have installed are removed.

Hope this information is useful. Let us know if you need more help, we will be happy to help you.

  • Windows, clones and persona management saved credentials

    Hi all

We have an infrastructure of clone of work with Persona management put in place. Everything works very well only our users complain that their windows credentials are not saved to a network share that they use, what is actually the case: once you change the clones, even though you checked to remind the credentials box, your windows password safe is empty and the credentials must be entered again to access the remote share.

I looked around, I found this KB:

    http://KB.VMware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US & cmd = displayKC & externalId = 2052573

As I understand it, touring credentials is not supported, and this can be done. Which, I guess, sort of logic.

However, I came across this post on the forum:

Finds support in the management of Persona to CryptProtectData

Where is the original says that "View Persona Manager does support the Windows API data protection.' poster.

I'm confused here: is it possible to wander the credentials for network shares or not? If so, how this reach you? If not, is it final or is it planned to get this working?

    Thanks for your comments,

    Marc

For everyone wondering the same thing and do not find an answer, upgrading the client to view the clones to 6.0.1 fixed the problem.

  • Web Client connection with the "Use Windows logon credentials" error

    Hello

I tried to configure vCenter Server appliance (suse) 5.5.0b.

I created a user in the console of bash and permissions added to it with access complete the server vcenter (with multiplication), added to the Group administrators and users etc.

When I manually enter credentials to connect it let me, but when I check the "Session using Windows credentials" box produces an error message:

«The authentication server has returned an unexpected error: ns0:RequestFailed: IDM threw an unexpected error during authentication: platform Native Error [code: 1213] [] [ERROR_INVALID_SERVICENAME].» The error can be caused by a source of identity with a malfunction. »

I have the same credentials on my computer as in vcenter (the two without configured AD) [this works with vcenter on windows 2008 server].

I heard it could be the problem of the lack of reverse dns lookup, but I works perfectly.

vCenter server and dns server are on the same subnet.

I know there is already a discussion on this error, but the solution is not sufficient (I use American English characters and as I already said - it works on different vcenter).

    Can anyone help?

    Thanks in advance!

Here's what I got from support that clarifies the case:

"Design when we choose 'References using Session Windows' respective user name and password is sent to vCenter using the Kerberos authentication protocol that only works when the Client and server are joined to a common domain.

The reason why we are getting the error reported in your environment is that key Kerberos for the host of the server vCenter application are missing from the/etc/krb5.keytab file. So, I confirm that we will not be able to make the "Session using Windows credentials" option to work in Client and server only not part of the domain.

To learn more on Kerberos authentication, see Microsoft Link below.

  • ReadyNas 314, impossible to access via Windows Explorer

Have spend the last 3 hours trying to find a solution on other posts, but nothing helps.

Novice at most, so when you can, please explain as I am 5.

I have a new 4-Bay ReadyNAS and installed 4 new 4 TB drives. Currently connected to the router by ethernet.

I use a Plex server on my PC. I store all my media on an external drive. I moved all my multimedia elements from the outside to the NAS.

However, the last step is to map the NAS server to the letter of the drive that was older externally. For the life of me, I can't do it. I connected the NAS to your PC via ethernet, but when I try and click on the NAS, it says that it cannot access. I tried to do a variety of solutions, but none have worked so far. Quite possible I'm not on the right, and it's a simple solution.

Please let me know what you all need additional details. I am really puzzled.

Finally found the solution. I had to go to my Windows credentials manager and add my NAS server out there. Thank you!

  • Cannot access the readynas via the network of windows 7 since the 65.5 update

I have a readynas 102 fixed by a switch to a windows 7 computer pro.

Before the update, to 65.5 I could still access the files on my readynas 102 (name: homedrive) by selecting it under Network > homedrive

Since the update, it still appears in 'network', but clicking on does not give me access more :-(

I found that I can open the homedrive ready nas using the IP (\\192.***.*.***) in a new window of Solution Explorer. The media unit also works very well to access music. But why can't access through the 'network' - and why he always appears without giving me access...

I guessed that maybe it's to do with the new credentials of connection (since the change of a name of the EBU to an e-mail address), but how to change it in my windows pc network?

Any help would be great and simple steps please! Thank you very much.

Thanks to your inspiration I solved it my changing the password of the network connection of the former username of pre update for the new updated post e-mail deal as username via windows credentials... thank you everyone :-)

  • I cannot select Add a credential to windows of the Manager of passwords for your network logon

I have a broken drive on my home wireless network. I'm on windows vista home Premium, I tried to add a credential of your network manager on the left panel of user accounts.  Yes, there are two types of credentials, but only 'A credential to Windows logon' name is grey, I can't choose a website or the credentials of the program.  but the point is that I tried to add windows credentials not Web site.  So please, could someone help me with this, how to take off the point greyed so that I can select credential window.
