Windows Defender error code: 0x8050800c
Windows Defender is showing the error when trying to analyze (error code: 0x8050800c.)
The error such that it displayed was:
«Windows Defender encountered an error: 0x8050800c.» An unexpected problem occurred. Install available updates and then try to restart the program. For more information about installing updates, see Help and Support. »
According to my observation, this error has occurred first at 2010-01-28 08:00 IST (+ 5:30 GMT) after updating the version of the definition of 1.75.4.0. Night today, although I have updated to the latest version 1.75.94.0 was not resolved. In addition, the module Explorer showing "not available" against startup items while it will display 'allowed' earlier when the defender was in good health. It is also clear that reinstall is also not to solve the problem as inferfed by seeing the other relevant threads
OS: Windows Vista Home Basic
AV: avast 5.0.377
Please help that my pc is now unprotected

Windows Defender "error Code 0 x 80070003".
Windows defender is stopped and the pc shows "error Code 0 x 80070003" what's the problem? PLEASE PROVIDE A SOLUTION.
Windows Defender can be used at the same time as AVG, McAfee, MSE or Norton. This is maybe why it is turned off and the error code can be occcurring if you try to activate.
If this does not answer your question please post back with more details.

Windows defender error code 0 x 8007424
When I try to run windows Defender it comes up with error code 0 x 8007424 im running windows 7
What do you use for your antivirus protection? Windows Defender is not necessary if you use AVG, Microsoft Security Essentials, Norton or McAfee. These AV programs have their own antispyware component builtin and allows you to disable Windows Defender by design.

Hello
Try the following.
Right-click on an empty area of the taskbar, and select Task Manager.
Click on file and select new task run.
Type rstrui - also enter a tick in the box for "Create this task with administrative privileges" - and click on Ok.
When system restore interface has loaded, choose a restore at least 48 hours before the problem with Windows Defender occurred first and then proceed to the system restore.

Publish with windows defender - error code 800106ba when I try to open Windows Defender
I use windows vista sp2 32 bit op system.Windows Defender is set to automatic. but when I try to open windows defender, I get an error code 800106baPlease notify hw to enable this feature for protection. If you use another program (other than MSE) AV, Windows Defender may also be disabled. Examples of these other programs include but are not necessarily limited to: AVG, Kaspersky, Norton, McAfee, and Trend Micro.
Hi the ball
Kaspersky does not automatically turn off Windows Defender. However, it is recommended that, as usual, Windows Defender real-time protection is not enabled when Kaspersky is installed. Its a similar situation with Windows and Kaspersky firewall products that have built in firewall.
I used Kaspersky products for several years and it has always been the case in my experience. I just tested with Kaspersky Internet Security 2012 race and I was luckily allowed to activate the protection in real time of the defenders of Windows and the Windows Firewall.
I hope this helps. :)

Cannot activate Windows Defender error Code: 0x800705b4.
OT: Unable to turn on Windows Defender
In Control Panel, click on "Windows Defender", it shows that it is off. Select the link "click here to start", but no response after I clicked on it. After a while, a pop-up message: timeout expired. (Error code: 0x800705b4)
In Control Panel, click on "Windows Defender", it shows that it is off. Select the link "click here to start", but no response after I clicked on it.
If you have another program that contains its own version of Defender is the case, for example Microsoft Security Essentials antimalware installed, it will disable Windows Defender. It's normal.
What software antivirus, security, etc. you have installed?

Windows Defender error code: 0x800705b4
I try to activate Windows Defender on your desktop current nine to run Windows 8. When I try to turn it on I get error: 0x800705b4, cooperation has expired. What's wrong?
Aaron,
I found this.
The fix is for Vista - I think that it is probably useful for Windows 8; so Windows 7 has been built on Vista and then Windows 8 was built on Windows 7. The core of the operating system is always "there".
Windows Defender - impossible to activate the fix
This is a fairly easy procedure - don't forget to launch the window 'command prompt' as 'administrator '.

may depend on windows Defender, error code = 0x800700ff
Hi all
Appreciate your help...
Thank you!
Best rgds,
VIC
If you have Microsoft Security Essentials, AVG, McAfee, Norton, etc. installed, they have a conflict with Windows Defender, or turn it off.
Microsoft Security Essentials has its own integrated version of the defender and it automatically disables the version of Vista in Windows Defender.
If it's not:
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/turn-Windows-Defender-on-or-off
Turn Windows Defender on or off the information on the link above of Microsoft.
Hope the above explains the common compatibility issues with Windows Defender and other security programs.
See you soon.

Vista SP1 or SP2 installed yet? (just a question, NOT a recommendation)
Applications, (Norton and McAfee) are notorious for not not upgrade (or uninstalling) itself.
1. download the Norton Removal Tool, save it to your desktop: ftp://ftp.symantec.com/public/english_us_canada/removal_tools/Norton_Removal_Tool.exe
2. close all open applications (that is, anything with an icon on the taskbar).
3. After completing some you have a copy of your handy product key, uninstall Norton 360, LiveUpdate and all Norton Add ons via Control Panel | Programs | Uninstall a program (or Control Panel |) Programs and features, if you are using the classic view).
4 IMPORTANT! -Online activate Windows Firewall immediately after the restart.
NB: Now you're "working without a net": no to ANYTHING else online (e.g., navigation, reading e-mail, chat) until you have completed step #7 below!
5. right click on the file that you saved in step #1 above, and then select run as administrator. DO TAP not your keyboard until the race ends, then restart.
6. do a clean install of Norton 360 2010 using your product ID & reboot: http://www.symantec.com/norton/support/kb/web_view.jsp?wv_type=public_web&docurl=20080514162318EN
TIP: Do not activate or install additional modules of Norton (for example, Norton Anti-Phishing) immediately.
7. manually and repeatedly run LiveUpdate until you get a prompt "no update more".
8 test cycle.
NB: Only one 1 firewall must be enabled at any time. If the Norton Personal Firewall is activated (after you have reinstalled N360), Windows Firewall must be turned off.

Windows Update "error Code 80244019.
Can someone please help me why this error; Windows Update error Code 80244019 appears when I update my computer? I think it's due to the update of Windows Defender does not. I use Windows Vista. Please can someone help me solve this problem?
I would check to see if you have a Trojan or a virus on your system. He saw several cases with that error and it has been resolved by removing the Trojan horse and reboot your system. Once the Trojan horse has been removed, they were able to install from Windows Update again. It seems possible that your Windows installation has been damaged deliberately by a Trojan horse to avoid you update your system or remove the Trojan horse. Your first priority should be to clean your PC of any malware.
(1) check that the definitions for Windows Defender is updated.
Windows Defender is a free program that helps you stay productive by protecting your computer against the pop-ups, slow performance and threats caused by software security spyware and other potentially unwanted software.
You can download Defender from the following web site.
(2) you can scan your computer now online and clean for free with Live OneCare with the scanner that is available on the following web site. Windows Live OneCare safety scanner is a free service designed to help ensure the health of your PC. It check and remove viruses and to get rid of the junk on your hard drive.
http://OneCare.live.com/site/en-us/tryscanner.htm
(3) use the malicious software removal tool to find malware. This tool checks your computer infections by specific, prevalent malicious software (including Blaster, Sasser, and Mydoom) and helps to remove the infection if it is found. Microsoft will release an updated version of this tool the second Tuesday of each month. You can download the removal tool from the malicious software from the following web site.
