LAbview 6.1 file incompatible with v8.6

I use NEITHER cDAQ-9172 data acquisition.

We have a labview file that has been developed some years on Labview 6.1.   I bought a new computer that has Labview 8.6 on him.  Now, the old file refuses to launch Labview 8.6.

He keeps asking other vi files and especially lvdaq.dll

I saved the old file on labview 6.1 with option "preserve the hierarchy." This doesn't mean that all files which the current file depends, are also saved?  In which case I shouldn't get all these error messages?

Thank you

That is right. You cannot use the system with 6.1.

    Hello everyone,

I am developing an application for the cards PCI devicenet in labview (beginner to labview) environment.  Is there a DLL file for the PCI card from the provider. But it's too complicated for a beginner to call each function in the DLL of labview. Therefore, I'm trying to re - use a VC ++ program (working properly) that calls some sellers DLL library functions.    To do this, I created the DLL file which includes all headers and libraries the provider DLL, as indicated in the attached figure. But I couln can't see the effect on the device. is it possible to create a DLL file for labview that has DLL library with inside? If this is not the case, how can I implement the program shown in figure?

I would like to wish a huge as to advance.

It is not something I have a lot of experience in so I don't know all the details of the restrictions or requirements etc - but it is certainly possible to create wrappers for the dll and then use them in LabVIEW - this is sometimes necessary to convert some native types/data structures in C/C++ into something that you can switch to your other DLL LabVIEW.

    MS Info

I need to send a file Ms Info to Wb tech support so that they can help me with the game on steam download. Whenever they open the file it says it gives the following message "information MS cannot open this file. The file may be corrupt or incompatible with this version of the information system. "I tried to open it too and had the same error message how can I send a file not corrupted for them?

Information MS cannot open this file.

They should use Notepad to open the file when it is a txt file.

Another way to create a portable system information file is to select the hotkey Win + R, type msinfo32 , and press ENTER . Click file, Save and name the file. This method creates a file with an extension of nfo file. Perhaps the recipient expects the file in this format.

  • Engines: A version of the library is incompatible with the version of XNode

I have SP1 2013 Labview and 2013 NXT Module installed f1.  I'm taking a class on Robotics where we use the Lego Mindstorms NXT module.  I have code that works very well in school, but when I load it on my laptop I get the error message: engines: library version is incompatible with the version of XNode.

My son has the Mindstorms and I can't use the laboratory at the school (except for class) because it is open only during my work hours.

I installed on the same disks that the school uses (their academic licences provides for this).  What should I do to get this code works on my laptop?

Please help - I have an assignment due.

The polymorphic VI you have in the block diagram is the patch of f1, but the other I think you are talking about is the equivalent of the patch of f2. If I am not mistaken, the school could have installed the fix for f2 (it would still appear as NXT 2013).

This is how the VI looks in two versions:

If you drop the first and the second in the school lab in your mobile, you can try to install the patch f2 in your laptop. You can download it here:

  • Concerned by several users, reading files interfering with write access to the files

I have a LV MY application that will run in several places/computers. Each will create a single HTML report and update frequently. These HTML files will be accessed and combined by another application of LV in a new HTML file that will be updated frequently. All HTML files could be opened by a user at any time in a web browser.

What concerns me, it's HTML reports could be avoided by a user, or the application of the combination to be written by the app MY? If the user or application combining a box open report she always written by the app MY? It goes the same for the app combining prevented to be written if a user has his open output HTML code?

Each HTML file can only be written by an application but read by many potential users and/or an app.

All programs run independently and asynchronously. Each application runs on its own computer and files all exist in a network location.

Can I do this by controlling all users file privileges? If anyone has read only permissions except the written computer the HTML file that will be enough?

    MES Manufacturing Execution System is

    Thank you

    Judd

I guess as long users see the reports with a web browser, it should be no problem.

Browsers Web do not "lock" a file when they open it like Word or Excel because web browsers are not and should not modify or change the file somehow.

If only one person could display a web page to internet time would not work as we know it.

But if you're worried about it use LabView to lock files during execution of the program. Only in this way, users can open the file as read-only if they use something that can change the files. If you use the standard LabView open file read/write vi passing a file reference, then this will be done automatically.

  • DSC 8.5.1 incompatible with already installed products

I try to install DSC 8.5.1 on a Windows XP with LabVIEW 8.5.1 system and already installed 8.6.1. When I try to install the DSC module, the installer tells me that the module will not install because "this function is incompatible with the products already installed on the computer." Can someone tell me what products are not compatible with the DSC module?

    Thank you.

    Chuck

    Hello Chuck,

I am happy that it worked. Seems it as LabVIEW 8.6.1 the incompatible product installer complained. In order to install the DSC to LabVIEW 8.6.1, module you will need to install DSC 8.6.1, as the module and LabVIEW version must match.

  • is it possible to tell me how I can make program in labview that take black and with image pixels and give the coordinates of black or white pixels again to me.

    Hello everyone

is it possible to tell me how I can make program in labview that take black and with image pixels and give the coordinates of black or white pixels again to me.

It depends on the image and the module LabVIEW available to you. LabVIEW can open bitmap and png files and convert them into tables: if it's really a monochromatic (depth of 1 bit) you get a table 2D boolean, T for white, F for black. Just look at the index of the item to its details (don't forget that LabVIEW does not use the order of rows and columns, so you must transpose and reflect the table). If you have a 24 bit bitmap, the table will contain the color in hexadecimal synthesis (000000 for black, FFFFFF is white and so on); Yet once, you simply check if the element of the array correspond to your requirements and get its index.

With the vision that you module con open other pictures and perform advanced on them without convert them into tables. Anyway, you can just type the extension of your image using LabVIEW and see what you get.

Here is a code snippet to open a monochromatic image

  • read in a labview complex binary file written in matlab and vice versa

Dear all. We use the attached funtion "write_complex_binary.m" in matlab to write complex numbers in a binary file. The format used is the IEEE floating point with big-endian byte order. And use the "read_complex_binary.m" function attached to read the complex numbers from the saved binary file. However, I just don't seem to be able to read the binary file generated in labview. I tried to use the "Binary file reading" block with big-endian ordering without success. I'm sure that its my lack of knowledge of the reason why labview block works. I also can't seem to find useful resources to this issue. I was hoping that someone could kindly help with this or give me some ideas to work with.

Thank you in advance of the charges. Please find attached two zipped matlab functions. Kind regards.

    Be a scientist - experiment.

I guess you know Matlab and can generate a little complex data and use the Matlab function to write to a file.  You can also function Matlab that you posted - you will see that Matlab takes the array of complex apart in 2D (real, imaginary) and which are written as 32 bits, including LabVIEW floats called "Sgl".

So now you know that you must read a table of Sgls and find a way to put together it again in a picture.

When I made this experience, I was the real part of complex data (Matlab) [1, 2, 3, 4] and [5, 6, 7, 8] imagination.  If you're curious, you can write these out in Matlab by your complex function data write, then read them as a simple table of Dbl, to see how they are classified (there are two possibilities-[1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8], is written "all real numbers, all imaginary or [1, 5, 2, 6, 3, 7, 4) [, 8], if 'real imaginary pairs'].

Now you know (from the Matlab function) that the data is a set of Sgl (in LabVIEW).  I assume you know how to write the three functions of routine that will open the file, read the entire file in a table of Sgl and close the file.  Make this experience and see if you see a large number.  The "problem" is the order of bytes of data - Matlab uses the same byte order as LabVIEW?  [Advice - if you see numbers from 1 to 8 in one of the above commands, you byte order correct and if not, try a different byte order for LabVIEW binary reading function].

OK, now you have your table of 8 numbers Sgl and want to convert it to a table of 4 complex [1 +, 2 + 6i, 5i 3 +, 4 + i8 7i].  Once you understand how to do this, your problem is solved.

To help you when you are going to use this code, write it down as a Subvi whose power is the path to the file you want to read and that the output is the CSG in the file table.  My routine of LabVIEW had 8 functions LabVIEW - three for file IO and 5 to convert the table of D 1 Sgl a table of D 1 of CSG.  No loops were needed.  Make a test - you can test against the Matlab data file you used for your experience (see above) and if you get the answer, you wrote the right code.

  • incompatible with Sync Center

My computer says that it is incompatible with "Sync Center". Is it possible to make it compatible?

    Hi Gail,

    1. what operating system is installed?

    2. which device is connected?

    3. don't you make changes to the computer before this problem?

    4. what program or application you are trying to synchronize?

Sync Center allows you to check the results of the recent sync activity if you have set up your computer to sync files to a network server. This allows you to access copies of the files on your network even when your computer is not connected to the network. Sync Center can tell you if the files synced successfully or if there are any warnings or errors in synchronization.
