  Try the task manager coming out and renaming a HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\TaskManager something as a HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\TaskManager.OLD.  Start the Task Manager and see if that helps.

  Sorry, should have read your post/variable path more closely. Yes, that seems to be the same as what I have.  Finger in the fabric of the breeze, but have you tried a stop and restart from the variable?
