Windows explorer.exe stops and restarts allot

I use windows vista 32 bit home premium service pack one. I would like to know if there are any solutions for my problem by blocking windows explorer.exe dive down and reboot... I scanned the computer with macffe and test a hard drive and it says its fine but I still get the error what can that do?

Hello

Treat him as a bluescreen to start with - check the event viewer and use the tool Nirsoft below to see if it
are the error codes. Do the SFC and CheckDisk drivers check. Next message will be a few methods for
check startup programs and however they must be made to ensure that they are not the cause of service or
contribute to the problem. Even if Eventviewer or points of Nirsoft tool you still have somewhere to CFS,
CheckDisk and drivers.

Look in the Event Viewer to see if something is reported on these reboots.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Also this, so you can see the probable bluescreens.

Windows Vista restarts automatically if your computer encounters an error that requires him to plant.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here are a few ways to possibly fix the blue screen issue. If you could give the info from the blue screen that would be
Help. Such as ITC and 4 others entered at the bottom left. And any other information such as STOP error
codes and info like IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL or PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA and similar messages.

As examples:

BCCode: 116
BCP1: 87BC9510
BCP2: 8C013D80
BCP3: 00000000
BCP4: 00000002

or in this format:

Stop: 0 x 00000000 (oxoooooooo oxoooooooo oxoooooooo oxooooooooo)
Tcpip.sys - address blocking 0 x 0 00000000 000000000 DateStamp 0 x 000000000

It is an excellent tool for displaying the blue screen error information

BlueScreens many are caused by old or damaged drivers, video drivers in particular, but there are other causes.

You can follow these steps in the Safe Mode if necessary or the command prompt Vista DVD or Options of recovery if your

  • Windows Explorer Ramdomly stops and restarts.

Whenever I'm reviewing my files, be it on the C or D drive, windows Explorer randomly crashes and restarts, happened for a while now and I have no idea what causes it. However I noticed that happen when navigation control panel or searching for a file/location, for example, when I'm looking for a file to attach to an e-mail or by selecting a destination for the download of a file. It is really annoying because sometimes I have to move and copy files and Windows Explorer just throws me and I will once again to the location of the folder. I tried in safe mode, it happens again, but in fact it does not restart, it just closes and I have to open it again through Manager tasks, often crashing the Manager of the tasks, all in safe mode. I also tried the clean boot and continues to be, and sfc/scannow told me that corrupted files have been found but unable to fix, and I have no idea how to proceed.

    (1) run chkdsk as follows:

A prompt by right clicking and select "Run as Administrator"
and then at the command prompt, type: chkdsk /f r, then press the Enter key.

If you are asked to plan the volume to check the next time that the system/PC reboots,
    Enter: y

    Now, restart the PC.

Keep an eye on the screen and watch to see if errors are reported.

Try to compact and repair the database (see www.oehelp.com/WMUtil/).  There is likely an inconsistency between what is really there and what think the database is where and who must reconcile the two.  So beware of interference from antivirus software which can cause these issues (see www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3).

  • Guard Windows Explorer to crash and restart

Explorer Windows keep saying "Windows Explorer has stopped working". He continues to display this message in about 2-5 minutes again and again and it will not stop. I tried to uninstall the software, analyzed if there are viruses (there are not), tried the command CMD (sfc/scannow), but does not solve my problem. Also, I have installed a codec but removed because I thought that it was the origin of the problem. After, removing, there's errors.

Follow these steps to remove the folder C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Secure\icons:

Open the task (Ctrl + Shift + Esc) Manager.

Then click on 'Start' > type cmd.exe in the box "search programs and files" > right click on cmd.exe and select 'run as administrator '.

Leaving open cmd.exe, in tasks, under process manager, find "explorer.exe" and click "explorer.exe" then click on "end process."

Then in cmd.exe in the command prompt carefully and exactly type the following command and press "Enter":

    RD /S /Q C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Secure\icons

Then in the Task Manager do the following:

File > new task > then in the Run box type explorer.exe > OK

  • Guard Windows Explorer to crash and restart on Windows 7

I use a Dell Vostro V13 laptop. Last night suddenly kept windows Explorer crashing and restarting over and over to the point where I can't do anything. I tried the system restore, but the problem is still there. I can't do anything except the exit ramp of the computer with Ctrl + alt + delete. As soon as the restart my laptop the message back and he stops and restarts over and over again.

I am only able to send this message in SafeMode where the problem occurs.
I'm not very computer literate, so would be grateful for a detailed step by step help.
(One of the reasons could be that I tried to update media player VLC, this accident occurred just after that.) I uninstalled VLC but with no avail, explore it crash)

It is clear the details of the second error problem is the DivXMFSource.dll:

    Fault Module name: DivXMFSource.dll

    Fault Module Version: 1.0.0.72

    Timestamp of Module error: 4cffcf66

The DivXMFSource.dll is a component of DivX software.

Uninstall of DivX software should fix the error.

You are able to do safe mode?

If not go to the DivX program folder and right-click the DivXMFSource.dll and rename the extension .dll to .old, IE rename DivXMFSource.dll in DivXMFSource.old.

Restart the computer in Normal Mode and uninstall DivX.

Here is the location of the DivXMFSource.dll to rename:

    If 64-bit Windows 7:

    C:\Program Files (x 86) \DivX\DivX DivX Media Foundation Components\DivXMFSource.dll

    If 32-bit Windows:

C:\Program DivX DivX and Media Foundation Components\DivXMFSource.dll

    Hi Sabrina Awuah Aning

    (1) since when are you facing this problem?

    (2) when exactly it happens?

Looks like the thread you are referring has been moved or merged.

Method 1: Run the fixit available in the links below and check if that makes a difference

Difficulty of broken desktop shortcuts and common system maintenance tasks

    Note:
Fixit would attempt to recover bad sectors on the hard disk, in the course of this process there are chances of data loss from that particular area.

  • Windows 7 Windows Explorer keeps crashing and restarting every 10 seconds.

I have a problem with the Windows Explorer. It keeps crashing and restarting every 10 seconds as soon as windows loads. I got in safe mode, and this error does so. My computer is free from virus/spyware etc...

Thank you for your support in advance. I need to solve this problem quickly, I would appreciate your help.

I have Windows Home Premium 64 bit

    4 GB OF RAM

    2.4 GHz

    NVidia GeForce GT 320M

Thank you for your help, but I tried something else. What you suggested, it was too complicated for me :) I restored Windows 7 to the point before the problem started (which was a recent Java Update December 26) and even if he says that restoration could not be complete, it seems to be invalid the latest version of Sun Java and Windows Explorer now works as it is supposed to.

I have a new question now, if update SunJava caused my windows Explorer keep crashing how can I keep the java software to install this update again? Thanks a lot for your help.

  • Windows 7: Windows Explorer keeps crashing and restarting

    Hi all

I've had the problem for a few weeks now and it's really annoying. As the title says windows guard Explorer crashing, then restarting itself. In general seems to happen when I am clicking on my files. When I try to rename a file or folder, then it happens a lot. Less when the opening everything.

I'm using a relatively old Samsung laptop. Probably had around ish 2009. Don't know what other info can be useful. Let me know and I'll do my best to find out.

I did not do anything to try to remedy the situation that I didn't know what to do. Any ideas?

    Thanks for the help

To solve most computer problems, it allows to watch the evidence available in the system information file and Event Viewer logs. An experienced eye can choose needles in a haystack and see more clearly the precise nature of the problem or problems.

Please provide a copy of your system information file. Type the system information in the search box above the Start button and press the ENTER key (alternative is select Start, all programs, accessories, System Tools, system information). Select file, Export and give the file a name noting where it is located. Not to place the cursor in the body of the report before exporting the file. The system creates a new information file system each time system information is available. You must allow a minute or two before the file is completely filled before exporting a copy. Please download to your OneDrive (formerly Sky Drive), share with everyone and post a link here. Normal mode preferred report. Please say if the report was obtained in safe mode.

Please download and share with everybody fresh copies of your System and your event viewer on your Player Application logs One (formerly Sky Drive) and post a link here. You can delete the earlier copy of your OneDrive records.

To access the system, log, select Start, Control Panel, administrative tools, Event Viewer, in the list on the left of the window, expand Windows logs and select System. Place the cursor on the system, select the Action in the Menu and record all events like (the evtx default file type) and give a name to the file. Do the same for the application log. Do not offer not filtered files. Do not place the cursor in the list of reports before selecting the Action from the menu. Do not clear the logs so that you have a persistent problem.

Windows Vista Home Premium SP2 with all updates.  Already ran sfc/scannow but still having problem. Any help appreciated. A problem of causwe icons others not, IIE works fine but clicking on photos etc starts problem.

The problem seems to be the ShellExtension1.dll:

    Fault Module name: ShellExtension1.dll
    Fault Module Version: 0.0.0.0

The ShellExtension1.dll can be an element of Memopal:

    http://SystemExplorer.NET/file-database/file/shellextension1-dll

Memopal is installed and, if so, can you uninstall Memopal and see if the problem resolves.

Thereafter, you could try to reinstall Memopal, using the latest version and see if the problem is resolved.
