Windows Firewall service starts automatically on disabled in Windows 7

Hello

I installed windows 7 Professional 64 bit on a new HP PC (i5, 4 GB of Ram), as well, I installed Forefront Endpoint Protection 2010, I have connected the PC to my 2008 domain, a HP laserjet printer connected directly to your PC via USB cable.

The problem I am facing is that 'Windows Firewall' Service automatically goes to people with disabilities, the PC is not accessible from the network (so all users on the network can not print) unless I go to that PC and him allow manually. I ' v everyday to go to that PC and manually enable the "Windows Firewall" Service.

Can someone help me solve this issue.

Thank you

  • Firewall service starts intermittently during the startup.

    Hey all,.

I have been encountering a problem with the firewall service. It sometimes does not start when windows is started. Usually, this would not cause any problems, but it sets up and "Iron curtain" which will allow all incoming traffic (IE ping or VNC). I do a lot of business assistance level, so it starts to be a problem.
The service starts very well if you start from services, everything works fine. But it will stop working for a period of days. I checked the other forums and tried several different patches, but is unable to isolate why his turn at random, or not.
I increased the time to 2 minutes.
I checked the firewall auth., its fine driver.
I checked the "dependent" services, all are automatic and started.
I saw that other people have had this problem, but that nobody has a solid solution for it. I am run on a machine to point of sale posiflex, but have seen others with her on the valleys, etc..
I need to make sure that this will not be 'spread' when we deploy Win7 for several hundred other jobs in the company.
    Any help is appreciated.

    Hi Tom,

-Is your computer connected to a network of area?

-What security software is installed on the computer?

A firewall is software or hardware that checks information coming from the Internet or a network, then it blocks or allows it to pass through your computer, depending on your firewall settings. Even if you think that there is nothing on your computer that interests everyone, a worm could completely disable your computer, or someone could use your computer to help spread worms or viruses to other computers without your knowledge.

    Let us try these methods.

    Method 1.

You can run this Microsoft Fixit and check if that helps.

Diagnose and automatically fix problems of Windows Firewall service: http://support.microsoft.com/mats/windows_firewall_diagnostic/

See these articles for more information.

    Firewall: Frequently asked questions: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/firewall-frequently-asked-questions

    Understanding Windows Firewall settings: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/understanding-windows-firewall-settings

    Method 2.

If you suspect a virus on the computer activity, and then run a full scan of the computer with the Microsoft Safety Scanner to make sure that the computer is virus-free.

    Microsoft safety scanner: http://www.microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

Note: There could be a loss of data while performing an analysis using the Microsoft safety scanner to eliminate viruses as appropriate.

    Henry

    Hi Henry,.

Simply call DefaultCacheServer.start () which starts the services (but does not start the thread of analysis that restarts the services of consistency if the node was chased from the cluster automatically).

If you want the thread of analysis, too, then, in my opinion, you can call DefaultCacheServer.startDaemon ().

Stop the services and the thread of analysis is DefaultCacheServer.shutdown ().

Note: If your computer is not configured to start from a CD or a DVD, see the documentation provided with your computer. You may need to change your computer's BIOS settings. For more information, see BIOS: frequently asked questions.

    4. choose your language settings, and then click Next.

    5. click on repair your computer.

    6. Select the operating system you want to repair, and then click Next.

    Hello

You are running a third part of the internet security solution? Many of them include a firewall that is clean and disable the Windows Firewall. If this is the case, you should first disable this one before the attempt to initialize the Windows Firewall. It is not advisable to attempt to run two firewalls at the same time.

If you have recently deleted (uninstalled) a third party solution, you may need to run a cleanup this provider of software tool to remove any debris WASTE of this program in order to activate the Windows Firewall.

  • Windows cannot start the firewall service.

Original title: my firewall stopped working and it won't let me turn it back on.

My computer has alerted my that my firewall was off this morning. The alert came with the possibility to reactivate after having used the option of tis, another box emerged stating that it cannot be turned on again and try to activate it manually. I tried to turn it on manually and it still doesn't work. He is said to be the first "Windows Firewall settings cannot be displayed because the associated service is not running. Hey, bed,.

File system (CFS) auditor scan and see if it finds a breach of integrity. If so, System File Checker will try to replace missing or damaged files.

  • Windows Firewall service does not start after the removal of Virus

    Hello

I believe that my son's computer has been infected with the Trojan.Agent.Ed virus.  I managed to remove it (from different folders in AppData), but a few vestiges remain of course.  The windows firewall service does not start - it throws an exception to access denied on startup and when I try to start the service manually.
I tried to run the Sysinternals Process Monitor to display all events ACCESS DENIED and checked the permissions on the key to registry MpsSvc in HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\services and compared to a corresponding Windows 7 machine.  I've even exported the key MpsSvc and sous-branches of the laptop in good health and tried to import into a failure, but the import does not seem to occur, even if it gives a message "imported".
I also tried the troubleshooting of Windows Firewall that confusedly says:
"Windows could not start the Windows Firewall... Not fixed
"Set permissions for the registry keys involved"... succeeded
"Windows Firewall service is not started. Not fixed
    "Starting the Firewall Service"... succeeded
Any ideas would be most appreciated.
    Thank you.

It seems that I solved the problem by running this:
