Windows fix disabled services and prevention

Many services and processes were arrested after an alleged attack trojan/virus.

Especially the services of Windows Installer do not work in normal startup so I can't install any software including the installer of Windows or Vista, etc.  While programs like Installer and Vista will not install in the boot environment.  Anyway, it seems that I can't install the software, I need.

Likewise, I can't run the restore software that I used with Windows Live One Care, these services are disabled in both security and good startup modes.  It seems to me that it is trojan/virus associated as it is quite absurd that I can not install anything that can help.

I ran Spybot and Malwarebytes and removed some Trojan horses and viruses - I also used a registry cleaner.  I have also run Windows and HP all the hardware and software checks, restores going back weeks and months, start repairs, in fact everything that I can finance!

Any help appreciated

Thank you

    Hi teresa512,

    Method 1

This can happen if the computer is infected with virus or malware infections.

I suggest that you scan and remove all infections from the computer and check if it works.

The scan below only works on the 32-bit version of Windows

    http://OneCare.live.com/site/en-us/default.htm

You can use the Microsoft security essentials to scan your computer

    http://www.Microsoft.com/security_essentials/

    Method 2

If the previous step fails then I suggest that scan you SFC on the computer that would be a system file corrupt on the computer search and replace.

    (a) click Start, click run, type cmd in the Open box, and then click OK.

    (b) at the command prompt, type sfc/scannow, and then press ENTER.

Note: you can be fast to insert the Windows XP CD.

    I hope this helps!

  • Help please - Windows update - restart issues (and upgrade to Windows 10 questions?)

    Hello

I wanted to switch to Windows 10 but got stuck on the "start download" page, as have other users.

Looking through the other questions on this site, I have seen that Windows update may need to complete before you start with Windows 10.

I had not run windows update for a long time I thought that would mean Windows 10 would install and I wasn't ready for this, but now I am.

Then I ran windows update and more than 150 updates have been installed.

    However, he now says:

"Restart your computer to install important updates

Windows cannot update services and important files while the system uses them.  Save... "

I rebooted, shut down, rebooted several times, but this message continues to appear in the Windows Update window.

Still, the update of Windows 10 stuck initially download.

I ran disk cleanup in safe mode, as well as normal and tried to restart, but it did not help.  I tried the troubleshooting windows update option, but this did not help.

I used two tools, the Microsoft FixIt who did not help and a WindowsUpdateDiagnostic.diagcab file which allows to find the two errors and saying: he fixed them, but this still does not work, IE always ask me to restart and Windows 10 gets stuck to download from.

The two problems it finds are listed as:

"Windows Update error 0 x 80070005(2016-05-30-T-08_49_44P)" and is listed as fixed

"Problems install the latest updates" and is considered to be fixed.

I am at my wits end and would be really grateful for the help.

If this becomes technical, please help me in using a step by step method or referring to one for me.

    I have a laptop of Toshiba Windows 7 64-bit.

    Thanks in advance

EDIT: I ran the above diagnostic tool and the error was fixed progresses over time, that is to say it is correct to say 09:03 now...  Also, to revise accordingly the so-called updates installed, many of them, but not all, have the status of a failed.

What to do about all this?

I am able to create a data source with success with the SOAP service, but how to display the data in the external list as external list uses only as data sources for external content types.

Also with WCF as external content type, it is only on WCF services or any kind of web services can be added as an external content type.

  • Disabling services not microsoft and startup programs for Windows Vista

I have Windows Vista on my laptop and for some reason some difficulties to install updates for Microsoft Office 2007 security. I got a microsoft support shadow person my computer and fix the problem for me. The problem is that I have to disable all non-microsoft services and first start a number of issues on my computer and I can't remember how he disabled them.

In the Start Menu search box type "run" without the quotes. In the run box type "msconfig" without the quotes. When open the System Configuration utility, click the Services tab, check the box that says "hide all Microsoft services". When Microsoft services are hidden, clear the check boxes next to the other services. Click apply and then click OK, close the System Configuration utility and restart your computer. After installing the security updates restart if necessary, and then restart the System Configuration utility, put checkmarks in the boxes unchecked, you uncheck "Hide all Microsoft services", click on apply and OK, close the System Configuration utility and restart your computer. • What happens when you disable the service "Windows Error Reporting Service" in order to avoid an annoying and misleading popup error message?

I kept getting annoying "authentication failure.  Please check your user name and password of the account '... xyz. "" error every 30 seconds. "

I tried to restore my system and antivirus running - even to reinstall my anti-virus.  I deleted the accounts in question and kept still getting the error message.  Note, receive emails has never been a problem.

I finally disabled the element of the system of "Windows Error Reporting Service" MS configuration and now the error pop ups have disappeared.  Is it correct to keep this function disabled?

    Thank you.

To check the event logs, go to start / Control Panel / administrative tools / event handler.

To achieve the reliability and performance monitor, go to start / search and type in reliability, and then double-click the program icon that appears.

I hope this helps.  You can always check these sites periodically and do not need WER to warn you of a problem (even if it is perhaps faster) - you can check manually.  WER serves a purpose and he gives notification of a problem (which is good), but not in the circumstances that you knew.  This is a "nice to have" feature - not absolutely necessary.  We can try testing again to see if we can find the problem with WER if you're at it - or you can simply leave it off and make periodic checks of manual (decision is yours).

    I hope this helps.

    Hi dynameme,

What is a home or work computer? Is there any server/domain mean?

Try a startup repair, it sounds as if you have an error with the help user account to run the service.  Startup Repair may be able to fix this.  If this isn't the case, then you should try to repair the Installation.

    5. click on repair your computer.

    Hello!

For the life of me I can't figure out how to get my machine to boot successfully. Nothing changes when I choose Safe Mode, last known good Configuration, enable VGA Mode, booting, Directory Services Restore Mode or Debug Mode logging.

It's very stressful, because I'm right smack dab in the Middle a semester at the College. I have most of what I currently need access to supported illuminates... but not quite all :( It is also very reassuring to be able to take care of the school of work away from the library of the University. Yesterday, my computer was working fine... I think that Windows has completed an update, if I can't remember now. As I woke up this morning, I was not able to boot all the way to Windows only once.

My laptop is a HP Pavilion dv6000 running XP Media Center, and I have not installed new hardware since I bought the machine about 3 years ago.

Here are more details, where they can help in the diagnosis of my problem:

    • ID of the system board: 30BB
    • Type of processor: Genuine Intel(r) CPU T2250
    • Processor speed: 1730 MHz
    • Total memory: 1024 MB
    • Video memory up to: 128 MB
    • BIOS version: F.06

Here's the entire message to the blue screen:
    - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
A problem has been detected and windows has shut down to prevent damage to your computer.

If this is the first time you've seen this Stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps:

Make sure you have enough disk space. If a driver is identified in the stop message, disable the driver or check with the manufacturer for driver updates. Try changing video cards.

Check with your hardware vendor for updates to the BIOS. Disable the BIOS memory options such as implementing caching or shading. If you need to use Safe Mode to remove or disable components, restart your computer, press F8 to select advanced startup options, and then select Safe Mode.

    Technical information:

    STOP: 0X0000007E (0X805C49B8, 0XF7A172B4, 0 X 80000003, 0XF7A16FB0)

I also learned to a blue screen that says something about "PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA". I think that this happens when I try to start safe mode.

Also, I never did much with computer problems beyond what could be repaired with the restoration of the system... so not being is not able to boot at all me has to stop. Please, I beg you! Help me?!

With great appreciation for your time,.
