  OMG!

  I took my own suggestion of flashing the Bios and it worked the first time.  This is one of those self speak aloud of bugs.  It was a good day, the problem is solved !

  the picture of the blue screen is just after said windows it starts up at the end of the windows xp installation. I checked the external hard drive in a hard drive enclosure and it is empty, too (not that is my problem... just something I noticed). The other pictures are of my bios. Also, the hard drive passed a memory test.

  You must install the driver for your laptop sata as XP does not have it when it loads all the drivers at the beginning of the installation routine.

  That's why it blue screens and can not find the hard drive.

My number of parts of current memory cards are 48468-001, 2 GB, 800 MHz, 200 pins, PC2-6400, SDRAM Small outline Dual In-line Memory module (SODIMM).
  
  I run Windows Virtual PC to Win XP, motivated by the need to use some old software professional quality for economic reasons (AutoCad, etc.). I am a small business owner that gifted throughout the day. I need 8 GB of ram to make sure that I won't run into snags of lack of memory and to keep my laptop works well.
  
  Question: My motherboard is configured for except the upgrade to 8 GB? HP parts list does not list the card 4 GB or 8GBkit for this laptop model. Please notify.

  Okay so here's the scoop. A time, that I decided to take one of my old phones and dual-boot Ubuntu on it. While his part Ubuntu worked after installation, the part Windows kept crashing. I tried to recover, but it fails every time. Frustrated, I decided to forget it and just wipe everything and reinstall Ubuntu. After doing this and messing around with other Linux distributions, I want to return that has my computer to its former and reinstall Windows 7 on it. How could do to get a version of a Windows 7 ISO OEM. I tried to install an ISO from Microsoft directly, but they said that the product key entered was for OEM and so I needed to contact you guys.

• HP Mini 210-1100: HP Mini 210 1100 - product Microsoft Windows 7 under "vanity cover" but where is this coverage?

  Hi, I have a laptop of HP Mini old (circa 2010) 210-1100, he is real sweet and small.  Errors at startup, it looks like the drive disappeared.  I would find the product key of Windows 7 and see if I can find the ISO to restore on a new drive, maybe an SSD.  The bottom of the laptop says product key is in the compartment batteries or the cover of the vanity, is not in the battery compartment and I see nothing that matches this coverage "vanity", any ideas. ?

  I read on the specifications it takes and I aknowleged I could buy a slot SODIMM PC3-8500 of 2 gigabytes, so I did, I bought this machine slot Kingston KVR1066D3S8S7 / 2G but... IT DOES NOT WORK! The computer does not start with trendy.

  So!

  I need you guys to give me some advice on this, I need to know what I did wrong, BUT, more important, I need to know what the good memory to buy, and if possible, where can I buy it at the Portugal.

  I hope someone can help me as soon as possible, my gratitude will be immense if my fix of get.

  Hello I am new to this forum, I am trying to reinstall windows xp on my hp mini 311-1000NR after formatting it. It cannot continue after loading the drivers because it does not find my sata HARD drive. I searched all over the web I don't find much help on the mini 311 on account of its new market, in any case, I tried all that I even made a copy of my xp cd and slipstreamed on sata drivers to. I'm totally lost please help someone. Thank you

  You have the ION platform, I don't have any experience with the ION platform, but strong posibility you sata/raid driver problem. try sliptream Nvidia sata/raid drivers as provided in the attachments.

  Sliptream that the two files with Nlite, not sure it will work, please report to help others.

  It is an Atom processor. It uses a PBGA437 socket which is not the same as the Core 2 Duo. And the atoms that are out there are not much faster than 1.6 ghz. I think I saw maybe a 1.7. On some of the minis I disassembled the processor is soldered to the motherboard, anyway. Looking at the manual 311 I think there a welded on the processor, too.

  I have a laptop dv6t-1100 CTO Entertainment. When I bought it, it is installed with Windows Vista. Then, I was able to connect it to my home theater HDMI system by simply choosing the HDMI output. Since I upgraded to Windows 7, when I attach the HDMI cable, the image is on the TV, but the sound is still coming through the computer speakers. My sound is IDT HD sound. I opened the settings to change the HDMI Audio output, but only the following choices;  Speakers and headphones double (default), headphones double independent and SPDIF (digital output HP dock screws). I tried to change the default to the last with no difference. I think I have the latest driver installed. Please help, as I want to connect the laptop to my home theater system to run a special program vacation I. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  Hi all

  I upgraded my HP Mini 311 supplied with Windows XP to Windows 7. Following the upgrade, I found that I have problems with my audio stuttering/jump. I tried to uninstall and install the drivers. I currently have the IDT High Definition Audio CODEC and NIVIDIA High Definition Audio drivers in my sound section of Device Manager.

  It drives me crazy.

  This happens when the audio steam via podcasts, Pandora, etc..

  I found a solution on myhpmini.com that I have posted it below for anyone else having this problem:

  Here's a quick guide to solve the problem of stuttering.

  * WARNING * I take no responsibility if this your Mini fubars. Do this at your own discretion.

  Open Panel-> Device Manager. Go to IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers. Choose the Nvidia nForce Serial ATA Controller.

  Go to the tab click Update driver. Choose Browse my computer for driver software. Click on let me pick from a list of device drivers.

  Select the Serial ATA Standard AHCI 1.0 controller. Click Next, Okay, or whatever he asks, and you're done.

  The computer must restart twice - once for the controller and a second time to detect the hard drive.

  I would also recommend max memory to 2 GB if you install another version of W7.  You may have already made in all cases. If you do not you would need to remove the chip from 1 GB and install a module of memory 2 GB PC2 - 5300.
