Windows libraries

Hi all

Does anyone know a good way to clean the Windows libraries?

Mine is a total mess!  I have duplicates in all.  A "document" in the document library is also in all other (music, video, pics) and vice versa.  I'm deleting it from one and gone to each of them.  Why? How this happen?  How is it that I have to upload a photo of photos as a copy is found in the music?

I'm trying to separate all in the right places... music in music, photos in photos etc. and it does not work.  I'm afraid of accidentlly delete something important.

It drives me crazy!

Thanks for any help.

Do you mean that copies of files exist in the files, for example C:\Users\*your user name *-(My) photos,.

C:\Users\*your user name *-(My) music or simply in the libraries?

I would always reset the default libraries, then check.

Hello JonNghiem.  I understand that you are having problems with your Windows libraries.

To start, you should try deletion and recreation of these libraries.  As she says remove these libraries should not cause the corresponding files to remove.  Try the following.

    1. Open Windows Explorer.
    2. On the left side of the window, you should see the libraries.
    3. Click right on and delete each library individually.
    4. Then right-click on the main "Libraries" folder and select "Restore default libraries".

Let me know if it solves your problem.  Have a great day!

  • Error message when I click on the Windows Libraries: "documents. Library-ms no longer works.

I get this message when I click on the libraries window - documents. Library-ms no longer works.  I get the same message with music, video, photos.

Thanks to all those who can help you.

    Hi Larry1700,

Your libraries are corrupt. To resolve this issue, remove each library that you would like to delete any file. Don't worry, remove a library will not delete content it contains.

Once you have removed all, right-click on the icon of libraries in the Navigation pane, and then click restore default libraries. You now need to include all locations previously included, if you wish.

Don't forget to mark this reply as your answer if it helps and let me of what is happening.

  • Unable to create the folder inside the Windows libraries?

I use Windows 7 Home Premium operating system and I have problems of organization of the files with their library system.

If you need a good laugh, read the help files. For example, any question about this Windows Help topic will take you to "libraries: frequently asked questions.

It would be great, but each sub-heading usually gives you a single sentence that directs you to an another subtopic instead to provide a clear answer to your simple question. He sends you actually in a circle without never specifically respond to your request.  At first, I tried to create a library in a new folder to store a group of related files. After several failed attempts, I then tried to create a new folder in the document library for storing 2014 tax forms and related information.   However, now my system not even allow me to create a new folder. Reference material provided that clearly sets out the procedures to accomplish this simple task will be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

  • Photoshop CC 2014 - window > missing libraries

Watched the Keynote from Adobe and looked at help files on the use of this new feature. In my Photoshop CC 2014 in the title of the window, I should have an option of libraries. I don't. It is just layers journal of measures, nothing in between. I checked the updates through creative cloud and he said: I'm updating. I have reset the preferences. No luck. What Miss me? Thank you.

For anyone else having this problem, it's a pain, but yes Arpit is correct. Uninstall Photoshop CC 20141, go to the Adobe site and sign in, go to Apps, download Photoshop CC 2014 and install. It should open as a 2014.2. Then you can see Windows > libraries

I don't know why my system several times would not see there was an update to Photoshop. This seems like a bug to me for a subscription service. Wonder what I might be missing out on?

Now, I hope that my content from libraries (which appears in Photoshop) will now begin to appear in the cloud online. He is absent. Ugh.

    I hope this helps.

  • Windows media player does not differentiate between the multiple discs from the same album

    editing by Windows media player

All ripping a pair of compact discs windows libraries program "merges" both folders when I change the title of the album, the artist name, and genre stars, so that the list of songs is 1,1,2,2,3,3 etc. until runway 15 where the first, longest, cd continues to his last runway 23.  It's confusing to me, because I want to be able to label and burn each file separately.

I'm not sure what you're talking about, it seems you are saying several different things. To facilitate the clear life upwards, try to upload a screenshot on the public record of http://skydrive.live.com that shows what you are referring to exactly.

I want to be able to read dvd files (vob files) with media player 12 by selecting the folder and then just click on play like no other product like power dvd or nero showtime, but I don't understand how to do this with wmp12.  Also why can I not add the vob files to the media library with wmp12?  Vob files appear in the Windows libraries outside wmp12, but when I add a folder to your video library in wmp12 they never appear in areas of the screen to play.  Wmp12 not allow vob files to add to the library or what?  I intend streaming files my blu - ray player from my network home using dlna.  All the other files except the vob files will flow from wmp12.  Whats up with that?

  • Last steps to install an SSD in a XPS 435MT (Windows 7 64-bit)?

I found a very good price on two SSDs - so I bought it, thinking I could install at least one of them in my XPS 435MT. They will arrive today.

I also want to add a Blu - ray (player, at least) Player to this system. (Suggestions)? While seeking advice on this, I came across a forum detailed post making it clear to me that adding SSD to the XPS 435MT system is not so easy.

It's been well over a year since the above post has been updated. Are the steps that are always accurate? Are there any updates? For example, the message includes a link to the Intel Matrix Storage Manager for Microsoft Windows driver; However, the page that indicates that it is valid for the "Intel Server System SR1680MV. Is this still required driver? Is Microsoft difficulty he always required 50470?

I want to preserve my finely tuned Windows 7 environment, if possible. My system currently has two hard drives of 500 GB (C: and D :), a DVD - ROM (g) and a DVD - RW (w). Currently, I have all my Windows libraries on the D: drive. I am considering making it one of the new SSD the C: drive, using Paragon to migrate the content of HARD C: for the SSD drive. There is perhaps not a need for the existing C: HDD after that; Besides, I may even need to remove the HARD drive in order to have a Bay to install the SSD/support. I intend to replace one of the DVD writers with the Blu - ray player.

    All comments are welcome!

UPDATE: I called a crucial technical support informing them that their advisor of SSD is in offline mode. The technician I spoke with knew very well what I'm trying to accomplish. According to him, there is no need to install the Intel Matrix Storage Manager - driver as the native Windows driver should be enough. I'll do an OS migration - so in this case, perhaps, the native Windows driver is not present?

    Chris,

You only need to run 'fix' If your BIOS is currently set to ATA and you will have to change to RAID. If you are already set up to RAID, you will not have this difficulty. However, I would make sure you run the latest version of the Intel RST (this replaces the former matrix storage driver).

I think your plan is fine, except that I would simply connect the SSD to a SATA, not a USB adapter port. Boot from Paragon Disk or flash drive, depending on what you got and run the clone operation.

Most of the people who swap HDDs to SSDS retain their hard drives for data. Keep this in mind for your planning.

I think that most of the problems of performance with SSDS just frankly cloning a Windows installation that is congested or possibly running in ATA mode. That's why I went to the trouble to do a clean install. It's a little more forward work, but now I have an image of the installation with my drivers and applications that I can restore to the DSS at any time in a few minutes.

  • Windows Media Player does not detect files in the music folder

Original title: why Windows Media Player NOT showing my music?

So I recently got myself a new laptop, with Windows 7 Home Premium on it.

I copied my music to my desktop PC (also Windows 7) folder to the new laptop.

All the files are there in my user folder music, however, Windows Media Player absolutely refuse to recognize their existence and will NOT add them to your own library. If I navigate to the folder of the album, select a track or multiple tracks and use the context menu to perform them, which works without problem - WMP will play files.

I checked that the right folder belongs to the library.

The photos that I copied in the same way everywhere appear correctly in the 'Images' of WMP library.

After searching on the internet for answers, I came across three very common solutions either on their own or a combination of seems to work for most people:

    (1) removing all THE folders in the music library, then add the. This has no effect.

    (2) will "%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Media Player" and delete the entire contents of this folder, or the folder itself. Note that if stop/start no matter which drive Windows Media services also had no effect.

    (3) using the command line tool "attrib" to remove the attribute 'system' of all the files in the folder music.

Anyone got any ideas that are NOT ALL OF THE above MENTIONED the ELEMENTS, which may be able to help here? Otherwise, I'll move to a slightly less fussy Media Player...

In fact, as a result, that gave me an idea.

    I went to:
    C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Libraries

And delete the content of this (this will remove ALL your libraries!).

Then, I used the option "restore default settings", which correctly restored by 4 default libraries. I then recreated both more personalized, I would like to have it.

Having done this, WMP now seems add my music to his library as I type this...

  • In window 7

Window 7, it seems that I am not able to copy and save all my pics in slide show theme

    Hi Raymond,

You try to create a simple slideshow of multiple themes?

I would ask you to follow the steps to solve the problem.

Right click on your desktop > Customize (desktop personalization Panel)

Here you will find Windows themes by default { Thèmes Aero (Windows7,

has. so first click on one of the theme you like.

    b. click now on wallpaper. Now, you will be a window where you are asked to choose your location of the image.

    c. here you can see Images of the theme you clicked on, select now all these images - copy (ctrl C) and paste on your Windows examples of photos (on your default Windows libraries to the Workstation). As you have the choice to choose your photo locations as backgrounds for desktop Windows, picture library.

d.. open the sample pictures folder and paste (ctrl V) the Images.

    e. repeat the same Cycle of the steps a through d for the themes you want to be at your office.

    f. now go to the Office customization panel click on Windows 7 Theme now when you click on the Desktop Background > chose to imagine location > photo library (you'll find al the Images that you have saved your themes selected)> Save Changes.

    g. Finally, you will see that an unsaved Theme is used, now you can customize the Windows colors , sounds and screen saver you need for your newly registered theme.

  • How to remove the program of computer libraries

I had an old computer with windows 7, I managed to remove the taskbar libraries program and the computer.

I want to delete libraries in my new computer windows 7.

    How can I do this?

The libraries are not programs, they are just search results.  If you press Windows-R to open the run and go to this place (replace shawn by your user account folder name)

    C:\Users\shawn\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Libraries

Here you will see the library files.  These searches are saved.  When you run a library file, it executes a search and shows you all the search results as defined in the library search parameters (try to open one of these files with Notepad to see that).
Since these are not programs, you are free to remove them.

The pictures in Windows Media Player folder is the same folder of images in the Windows libraries. If you click on the file icon in the taskbar and select pictures, your images should be there.
