Windows Live Mail-User Account Control

I use Windows Live Mail to my email.  When I start to enter the e-mail folder a message appears each time under the control of the user account with the question "do you want to allow the following program to make changes to this computer? I don't think that this message should appear each time

I use Windows 7 Home Premium.

Hi Cynthibill,

Thanks for posting your question in the Microsoft Community forum. I understand you want to get rid of the UAC popup message.  I guess this must be difficult for you. I would like to help solve you the problem.

Before troubleshooting, provide us with information.

1. is the issue limited to Windows live mail?

2. what security software is installed?

3. don't you make changes to the computer before the show?

I want to let you know that you can use the slider control (UAC) user account settings to change UAC settings.

How can I change the behavior of user account control by using the slider? : http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/How-do-I-change-the-behavior-of-User-Account-Control-by-using-the-slider

Note: User Account Control (UAC) can help you to prevent your computer from unauthorized changes. It works by asking permission when a task requires administrative rights, such as installing software or changing settings affecting other users. We do not recommend disable user account control. If you turn it off, you must reactivate as soon as possible.

If you need help on this particular issue or any other related Windows issue, let know us and we will be happy to help you.

  • No folder "Sent" for e-mail in Windows Live Mail IMAP accounts

Looks like some other people have this problem, but could not find a clear solution. Basically, I just installed Windows Live Mail and I am trying to Setup IMAP accounts. I had a POP account that worked well and my IMAP accounts send and receive emails fine. The problem is that there is no other folders outside the Inbox for my IMAP accounts. When I go to IMAP folder, I can turn on the drafts, junk, sent, and trash. But these files are placed in the Inbox folder and after sending an email, I still haven't the email placed in the "sent" folder. What happens here? I cannot figure out how move the drafts, junk, sent, and trash folders so that they are side by side with the Inbox and not less.

solved the problem. No matter who has the same problem, how fix it you is by selecting any e-mail account you want to change, go to properties, then IMAP. Once you're done IMAP your folder "Inbox" root and check off "check for new messages in all folders. Then also check 'special folders Store on the IMAP server. The most important step is to make sure that all the names that you can change are correct and match the names of the folders under your e-mail account. By example, if by default to send it says "Sent items" move to "sent". Do this for every file and it will automatically correct the problem.

  • Windows Live Mail error: account is locked by another session.

I just had a new smartphone (Samsung galaxy s5) and set up my email on the phone charter.net.  E-mail works fine on the phone, but e-mail now does not work on my pc using Windows Live Mail, as long as the phone is connected to e-mail.  Verizon and Charter as saying that it is a question of Live Mail.  Any thoughts?

Thanks for the help.  I understand what is happening now.  I'm sure that your solution works, but what I finally did was set up the phone to only check email manually and then make sure that the email phone application is closed when I finish.  Windows Live Mail then was not a problem.  This works best for my situation.  Thank you.

First of all, go tohttp://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb963902.aspx and run Autoruns and click all.  Search all this related to the greeting cards or factory novadelopment.com and when you find them uncheck to prevent them launching at startup.  Check the entire list as there may be several entries.  When you're done, click OK and restart.  It can be running and which can prevent you to remove it and that stops that.

Try uninstalling with Revo: http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/classic/.  It often works when the regular Vista uninstall program is not.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • User account control does not not correctly under WIndows 7.

I'm having a problem with the user account control.  It appears each time I run a program, even if my settings are different.  How can I fix?

    Hi Clukin,

Thanks for choosing Microsoft Community Forums.

According to the description, I understand that you have a problem with user account control in Windows 7.

To help better please answer these questions:

    1. do you use the administrator account?

    2. the problem occurs with specific program or the whole?

    3. what anti-virus program do you use?

4 did you do changes on the computer before the show?

I suggest you follow the method provided to fix the problem:

Method 1: You can not change the settings on Windows 7 (UAC) user account control

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/978591

Method 2: Turn off the antivirus software

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-GB/Windows7/disable-antivirus-software

Important note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

  • Configuration of Windows Live Mail disappears after a reboot (roaming profile question?)

I work with a Win7 machine and a user with a roaming profile.

The user configures Windows Live Mail with account information and is able to send and receive mail, until the computer is restarted successfully. After the reboot, all account information is lost and the e-mail client must be reconfigured.

    Any suggestions?

Welcome to the Microsoft Answers site!

Try it out below mentioned steps and check if that helps you accomplish what you want.

You can read a message like this if you press Alt-Shift-H?

When you view your list of messages, press Ctrl-Shift-O for Options. On the reading tab, is to read all messages in plain text selected?

If this isn't the case, you can have too many temporary Internet files. Close Windows Live Mail. In Control Panel, select Internet Options, then on the general tab, click delete... Select the boxes on two albums, and then click Remove. Wait until the process is complete, then restart Windows Live Mail and see if the problem persists.

  • Windows Live Mail, an e-mail address, two computers

Problem: Does not receive all my emails

    Caution:

I use Windows Live mail on my laptop and recently got a new computer I put Windows Live Mail on.  On my old laptop, I get all my emails. On the new desktop, I get only a few emails.  Is it possible to have a fully functional Windows Live Mail on two computers that use only one email address?  Sense, get the same exact amount of emails on a single computer.

I guess my perceived problem is because when my phone syncs with comcast account it downloads all messages and deletes them from the server.  There for when my desktop synchronizes he sees little or no emails.  Please confirm?

Y at - it an option to fix this or do I just disable the program on one of my computers?
