You can read a message like this if you press Alt-Shift-H?
When you view your list of messages, press Ctrl-Shift-O for Options. On the reading tab, is to read all messages in plain text selected?
If this isn't the case, you can have too many temporary Internet files. Close Windows Live Mail. In Control Panel, select Internet Options, then on the general tab, click delete... Select the boxes on two albums, and then click Remove. Wait until the process is complete, then restart Windows Live Mail and see if the problem persists.

After saving the emails from windows live mail, why not open them on my computer as the file extension is wlmail.fol?
wlmail.fol is a tiny text giving the name of the folder. The exported messages will have filenames like 00D13E83 - 000025DF.eml. If you don't see all of the files like this, your export probably did not work properly.
For a successful export, follow these directions:
- Set Windows Live Mail to work offline before starting.
- Create a temporary folder on your desktop * to contain the exported messages.
- In the Export Wizard, select the temporary folder, and then select all the folders.* *
- When it is complete, check that the number of files in each folder to the temporary folder is one more than the number of messages in the corresponding folder of WLMail.
- Copy the temporary file to its final destination.
If you use a reader not NTFS to do this, you will see a warning that certain file properties will not be copied files. This can be ignored.
* Windows Live Mail do not work with files that are not on a local drive, as opposed to an external or network drive. This is avoided by using the office as a temporary folder location.
* If you want to export the files sampled only, select each of them containing messages. Subfolders are not automatically selected by default. -

All I get is a box with a yellow warning sign and the message that there is a problem and try later. I did this several times and have stopped and restarted the computer. Other than to restore the computer to an earlier time, I know not what to do. Would appreciate any help I can get to fix this.

I used the easy to move to a new PC W7, W7 transfer. Windows Live Mail has NOT been transferred and I can not get my old E-mail transferred. The export function does not work and is exporting not all selected records. I don't understand. This should be the simplest operations and it was under XP.

The use of Windows Live Mail without loggin
I have a Windows Live account that was created on a tablet of Microsoft Surface running Windows 8.1. When I access this account of my cpu Dell running Windows 7, I can access my account without having to log in. I would like to have the security of having to connect, so has any who experienced this and have a solution?

Windows Live Mail is an email client that requires your password to be added during Setup. This service can be set to disconnect when you quit the program
If your computer is shared, a work-around for you would be to create a new user account and this secured with a password. This only will allow you to access your emails.

Hi Doug MacDonald.
- Did you the latest changes on the computer?
- What web browser are you using to print Web pages?
If you use Internet explorer, then change the margin settings to the title of the page setup in the file menu and check if that helps.

preserve in the "Inbox" emails in Windows Live Mail
When the messages are downloaded from my provider ISP (Charter) in my Windows Live Mail Inbox, they disappear at random. Email I get and then put in the folder delete remains, but not those I decide to leave the Inbox. I think it may be related to email on my Smartphone (Nokia 925) settings. I recently changed the POP IMAP settings and this is where the problem started. Is there a way to change the settings in Windows Live Mail to preserve e-mails in the Inbox?
Hi Peter,.

Send only the feature in Windows Live Mail
I want to send an email but not receive emails. I can't find a way to send only without receiving email in Windows Live Mail. Windows Mail and Outlook Express had this feature, but I can't find it on the new version. Am I missing it or it is no longer available?
As it was in Outlook Express, there is no send all button. You can, however, achieve the same effect: for each account, right-click on the account name in the folders pane, and then select Properties. On the general tab, uncheck the include this account when receiving mail or synchronizing. Outgoing messages will be sent according to your settings Options > General: send and receive messages at startup and the arrival of new messages every n minutes, then on the tab send : send messages immediately. CTRL-Shift-O should open the Options sheet. If you never wanted to receive with these settings, simply select the account from the drop-down list in the send/receive button.Noel

I can't send or receive emails from Windows Live Mail. Receive the error code 4402. I can send and receive emails from my Windows Live hotmail account. In Windows Live Mail, it also says my server is an http / imap server. Can it be replaced by a pop3 server, so, how? Thank you
Well, took me a few hours and without the help of a person (TIP!), I've fixed it. Remove the live mail client account and re-apply / restore the account. Solves what seems to be a sync error. -19 October 2011
