  • Windows Live Messenger 2009 stops on Windows Vista Business

    Hello

For some time I have been using a desktop computer with Windows Vista Business (32 Bit) and for a few months now Windows Live Messenger 8 kept stop without reason.  I rejected, given that it happened only once a day, I have so open again and kept using it.

Recently I installed the version 2009 (14.0.8064.206), when Microsoft announced it through Messenger itself.  Since I don't Live Messenger stops very often, sometimes it takes about half an hour after I connect, sometimes even when I'm not logged in.  The message is "Windows Live Messenger has stopped working", no code error, no file name.

I have spent at various sites and tried the following without result:

Removal of the installation, run the clean installation tool and reinstalling
Repair the installation of Live Messenger
    clear the Cache of Contacts
    Run as administrator
Compatibility mode for Windows XP SP2

Is there anything else I can try?  Please let me know.

    Thank you

    Hi Angel,

You are welcome. Yes, please relay the State after the clean boot, as it will help to exclude all background programs. Please also pass on the model of your PC. Also, here are a few additional things to check.

    1. Please check if you have the latest version of Adobe Flash installed.
    2. Please also relay if the problem occurs when you try to share a file, using a Webcam, or by sending an Instant Message only.

  • Messages bouncing on the update of Windows Live Messenger 2011.

Hi, I'm having a bit of a problem that I can't find any mention of it anywhere else. Basically what happens, is that I'm talking to someone who uses the latest version of XP in Windows Live Messenger 2011, while I use the latest version of Vista/7. Especially, that's fine, but quite often, my messages are suddenly not delivered. I disconnect, then return, find they went offline. I'm still able to get messages to them, but they don't get mine. It's only when they sign out and again in that things get back to normal. But what happens too often for my taste. Only happened with them, since everyone I talk to has a Vista or 7 computer.

    Any ideas?

It is Windows Vista or Windows 7, not the Vista/7 version. No, unless you have "dual boot". For the benefits of others looking for answers, please mark as answer suggestion if it solves your problem.

  • Windows Live Messenger does not

Live messenger worked without any problems until about 3-4 days ago on my laptop. I was chatting with a friend and checked my email and when I disconnected it came with an error message saying "Windows Live Messenger has stopped working" and then he went to look for a solution and she came back with "a problem caused blocking the program works correctly, windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available. Now, whenever I click on messenger to bring it up it gives me the same message each time, I can however check my hotmail (Internet explorer), but can't chat and video conference.

I had no problem before, and to make matters worse exactly the same thing happened tonight on my desktop computer. I tried to uninstall and reinstall on the two always get the same error message (as mentioned above) always on the laptop and the desktop each time that I clik on Live Messenger chat or video conference and can get to hotmail.

My laptop Windows Vista Home Premium with Service Pack 2 64-bit OS, my office is that Windows 7 Ultimate 32 - bit OS.

  • Satellite A100: webcam works does not for windows live messenger on Vista

I recently lost my picture when working for video calls in windows live messenger, the sound of two ways and I can see them, but no one can see me.
I also bought an external webcam, and it does not work either.

When I go to Device Manager it says that the two cams don't work properly.
I tried to update the drivers but they are up-to-date.
I wonder if it's a problem of Windows live or Toshiba.
I use Windows Vista Home Premium and the new version of messenger.

    > I also bought an external webcam and it doesn t work either.
    > When I go to Device Manager it says that the two cams don't work properly

For me, it looks like a windows system problem.
Usually two webcams operate independently from each other and so I don t think that it is a webcam driver problem I think that it s windows or windows live messenger problem
Maybe something confused keys registry or files may be some updates to update or similar

In your case, I recommend you to uninstall the software of webcam software, internal external webcam and the windows live messenger.
Then, you must clean the BONES and the registry tool like CCLeaner cleaning, for example. It the free tool.

After this, reinstall the Chicony webcam software and test functionality without installation of windows live messenger.
If the webcam will be functions then you could install the windows live messenger again.

  • Re: Windows Live Messenger stops working after auto-refresh

    Hello
I'm having problems with my windows live messenger. After a few updates, did to windows, that it does not now. How open it is written that he found an error and it closes and Windows informed when there is a solution to the problem.

I tried to recover the windows system to the time before that updates that ends the correct functionality of the Messenger and then it worked again, but only for a short period.

Then, lately after that automatic updates have been made again, the Messenger stops working with the same error message.

Can someone help me? What could I do to fix this?
I already tried uninstalling and reinstalling messenger, but without success.

I think that this has happened when one of the updates have been interrupted in the middle because of a loss of power.

    Thank you

  • Satellite P300 - Windows Live Messenger System Crash

    Hello

I recently bought a Toshiba P300 that works great except for one thing: Windows Live Messenger completely blocks my computer.

I tried the latest version of 2009, version 8.1, and even the version 7.5 and every time it's the same thing: I correctly install the program, then it starts automatically, I write my email and password, it connects to my account, I see my friends online and a few seconds later my computer freezes. It is said that the program is not responding and I can't even do CTRL + ALT + DEL, at all, nothing happens. My mouse changes when I'm on the side of the window (the double arrow appears as when you want to resize the window), but nothing happens and I have to press the power switch to turn off the computer and restart.

I had no problem with the version of MSN Messenger or Windows Live Mail online, so I don't really know what can be the problem. Once I managed to speak to someone for about 2 minutes before the problem occurred (which happened the same day where that I bought the computer, since nothing).

It is a strange problem that I know, but if anyone can help, I would be happy!

    See you soon

    Hello!

I agree with you it s a strange problem and I've never heard of this.

You use the factory settings or you have installed your own version of Windows? If you have your own version of Windows should reinstall using the Toshiba recovery disc. Also, if you are running the factory settings, you should try to reinstall Windows. Maybe it's a problem with a corrupted system file

Have you noticed any problems with other programs or is that Windows Live Messenger?

Sorry, but at the moment I can t tell more.

    Good bye

  • Antivirus program advised "Messenger\msnmsgr.exe: *:Enabled:Windows Live Messenger is changed to Messenger\msnmsgr.exe".

One of my software anti virus tells me than Messenger\msnmsgr.exe: *:Enabled:Windows Live Messenger is changed to Messenger\msnmsgr.exe

    Hello

One of your antivirus programs? You should not have two or more on the computer much
less running. They load the pieces themselves at startup and interfere with each other
which can actually reduce safety. If its best uninstall all but one and run the removal
Tool or look for the special removal for these deleted instructions.

A program like Prevx - free which is put to work along side other antivirus programs
    is an exception.

If you need search malware here's my recommendations - they will allow you to
scrutiny and the withdrawal without ending up with a load of spyware programs running
resident who can cause as many questions as the malware and may be more difficult to detect as the
    cause.

No one program cannot be used to detect and remove any malware. Added that often easy
to detect malicious software often comes with a much harder to detect and remove the payload. Then
its best to be thorough than paying the high price later now too. Check with them to one
extreme overkill point and then run the cleaning only when you are sure that the system is clean.

It can be made repeatedly in Mode safe - F8 tap that you start, however, you must also run
