Windows Live Photo Gallery has a save as option?

With the help of the life of Windows Photo Gallery

There is not a function "save under" in this program?

I scan several photos at once in my computer and you need their harvest in separate images, but to lose the original image, when I try to save the cropped images.  I can't download HP Image Zone on Windows 7 and I can't use Microsoft Picture It either.  I am very frustrated with this new software.  I think that there is a function "save under" somewhere.

The automatic backup in Windows Live Photo Viewer
problems if you want to keep your
for publishing more original image. A way
around her is creates multiple copies of your
original photo and change each of them. It's a real
pain, but at least it works.

Faststone Image Viewer freeware has
a great crop tool and a save as option.

(FWIW... it's always a good idea to create a system)
Restore point before installing software or updates)

FastStone Image Viewer

(the download is: "FSViewerSetup44.exe")
(choose site 2 for a more fast dowload)

The info is how to crop a square, but it
will give you an idea of how navigate through the program:

Now, open the program and select (highlight)
the image you want to change.

Reach... Edit / crop Panel (or type... (X)

Click on the button 'Set Ratios of paper'.
(it's just to the right of the proportion of paper
fall of window)

Click on the 'Add' button and enter... 2 x 2 "
Click on... OK / OKAY... (this will give you the square
format you need)

You can resize the selection frame by dragging
reposition by dragging corner handles
the arrow of the 4 channels. At the end... Click on the 'culture '.
button.

Now... to... File / save as...
Choose a backup location, enter a new name for
the photo and choose a format to save in...
Left click on the Save"" button.

No. Windows Photo Gallery comes with the Vista system. It cannot be uninstalled.
It will coexist with Windows Live Photo Gallery. You just need to name one as your default programand leave the other alone.

I have both for 3 years.

Photo Gallery does not store the image files, it just reads the.  It's like a DVD player: give him the drive.

Even without Photo Gallery, all your image files is still in your photo folder (or anywhere where you keep your image files).

After I download photos from my camera to the external hard drive, I use the Gallery Windows Live to edit photo, but for some reason any he does not recognize the hard drive. I can see the drive using Device Manager and I cannot get Windows Live to see the photos, can't edit... any ideas?

    Thank you!

    Hello

Is that with the live Gallery or even other applications cannot access external hard drives?

To edit photos in Windows Live Photo Gallery, you must save the pictures to your computer, then try to edit it and check if it helps.

  • Error 0 x 80070057 opening of Windows Live Photo Gallery

Trying to open the Windows Live Photo Gallery, I get error code 0 x 80070057. I removed and re installed the program several times but still does not work. But it does not work on my other laptop. I'm on Windows 7 64 bit on all laptops.

FWIW... Windows Live Photo Gallery has a database file
which may be damaged. (uninstalling / reinstalling WLPG)
    does not affect this file)

If you rename the file... it will force the photo gallery to create a
new database file the next time, it is launched and the Gallery
will be as it was the first time it was launched.

I'm not positive that this will solve the problem you are dealing with
But if you want to give it a try thefilename is... Pictures.PD6.

Just rename it to OLDPictures.pd6. This can cause you to
lose tags and metadata that are not rewritten on
    the photo files.

The path to the file is:

    Windows\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\
    Windows Live Photo Gallery\Pictures.pd6

Pictures.PD6 is a file... the following article explains
    How to show hidden files:

Windows 7 - show hidden files
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/show-hidden-files

If this does not improve the problem... you can delete the
new file Pictures.pd6 and rename OLDPictures.p6 back to
Pictures.PD6 and the gallery should be as it was before.

  • Why "Windows Live Photo Gallery" open automatically every time I have save a jpeg image?

Whenever I have save a JPEG of a website for Windows Live Photo Gallery automatically opens.

This has only started happening recently. How can I stop too?
I went to options and clicked the 'open Windows Live Photo Gallery after importing files' option, but it still appears.
It seems to only be with jpeg images.

    Hello Michael,

Has probably had a modified default parameter. To do this: go to control panel and select default programs. When that opens the first series to select your default programs, when this window opens select Windows Live Photo Gallery in the left column and choose defaults for this program on the right side. When this window opens, make sure that the JPEG is not selected. Save your changes and then OK yourself.

And to the home page by default, select programs associate any type of file or Protocol with a program. When this window opens to scroll to the bottom of the left side of the window until you get registration .jpeg. If the default associated program isn't one you want, go to top right and click on change program... When this window opens, either select a program from the list, select one of the other list of programs, or click Browse and select the program in the Explorer style list that is offered.

Let me know if this solves the problem for you.

    Kind regards

  • Can't save editing changes in Windows Live Photo Gallery

First of all, let me apologize if this isn't the right forum for this question.  I arrived to the music and Photos, but now is under maintenance contract.  So here's my problem:

I just started using Windows Live Photo Gallery and I have a problem to save my changes of photo editing.  I get "an error prevents photo library to save the Photo.  I look for the time past in the help section and cannot find a solution.

I would appreciate anyone help how to solve this problem.

Thank you very much, lifesabeach (Gina)

    Gina,

In addition to what Brian asked;  You have everything installed third-party software may have come with your camera (Kodak software, for example)?  This error can occur because of conflicts that exist with Windows Photo Gallery and some third party applications.  If you do not have some software like that, and have a way to re - install Pleae try to uninstall and see if you still get the error in the photo gallery.  Thank you.

  • Windows live photo gallery screensaver just empty?

Salvation for a few months now my screensaver windows photo gallery has just been going to blank it used to work and have done so for almost 2 years. I have redownloaded windows live photo gallery and still can't make it work, any help on this would be thank you very much.

You have problems with any other screen savers (this is VERY important) - even the slide show normal ones (if if you can have a different and wider than just this one problem screensaver Live Gallery - post if it is the case that we need to try a few different options than those offered or maybe at least some additional options)?  Is Aero active and selected - if not available, do?  Now never works or sometimes work (tell you it turns off suggesting it starts OK and then fails - I need to know if this is the case, and on how long it works before going empty)?  When you test (I am not sure that you can test it but if possible, it works or does nothing happen)?  When you say he fails to tell you absolutely everything, nothing happens when selected (which means that you can not select it) or do you mean it is still not listed as an option or you want to say when it should light it does not activate (and if so, whatever it happens to all of the error messages) (, or whatever)?

Go to start / Control Panel / administrative tools / Event Viewer and look for any screensaver errors or maybe photo gallery (it should be some if it is not enabled). Here's how to use Event Viewer: http://www.petri.co.il/vista-event-viewer.htm.  Look in the sections of the system and applications.

I hope this helps to identify or solve the problem.  If this isn't the case, post back with the results, but if everything works fine (after trying the above) and there is no errors except this one screen saver, so we consult experts.

Please repost your question in the Windows Live Photo Gallery or Forums portal at:http://windowslivehelp.com/product.aspx?productid=20.  First check to see if your question has already been answered or if none of the articles help.  If this is not the case, go to the Forum and post your question there.  Experts in the photo gallery will be happy to help you.
