Windows Mail is not properly all my email collection

Windows Mail is not properly collecting all my email - some messages show only an empty folder. I can identify the messages affected through my ISP and send them to myself, but it's really annoying and doesn't always work.  I was hoping it was a temparary glitch, but it happened for weeks. Can someone tell me how to prevent it. Thank you very much in anticipation.

  • Windows Mail - does not get answers to emails

I'm on Windows Vista Home Premium Service Pack 1 32-bit.

I use Windows Mail for years.  Recently when I send an email to 2 or 3 people, and one of them says to me, I do not get the answer.  I also have a Blackberry, and the answers are not there either.  By my server, I was told that the problem is Windows Mail, not them.  The provider is Cox Communications.  I was told by them do not use Windows Mail for awhile and just use the Webmail which provides the provider.  I seem to be getting all the emails there.  So it seems that Windows Mail is not attracting all the emails on the server.  When I recently sent an email to 12 people, I had answers to this email.  So it seems to be the No. 2 beneficiary or 3 it's a problem, and it is not always the same 2 or 3 recipients and each has a different server!  Yikes!  How the difficulties push it?

    Thanks for your help!

I read a little in this forum about Windows Live.  Think I'll wait a few days and maybe try that, unless someone here comes up with another fix.

BTW, I have for some time had an gmail account.  I had that when I got my first smart phone a few months ago.  I had the worst problems with it with my email.  So I switched to the BlackBerry, and this problem came.  Think I'll go back to the cans and a string.

Thanks for the answers and the help!

PS: I have "notify me when someone replies to this post", and I don't have an email.  Hmmmm...

  • Windows Mail will not automatically check new email and download.

I have Windows Mail and put it in place to check for new messages every 10 minutes - but it does not automatically download all emails.  I have to do it manually and when I click the icon send/receive, it will not download my mail - said errors occurred, but does not list errors.  I have to use the menu drop-down and click on receive all or send all the, and the downloads of my mail. What's wrong??

Under accounts, I have an email ACCT - pop.windstream .net, two new Accts - Microsoft Communities, and to the title of the Directory Service, there are two accounts each NULL of Active Directory and the Directory Service Internet Verisign.  Are these multiple Accts screwing things up?  They are similar, but do not know if they are, so do not know if it's okay to remove duplicates.

    Help, please!

Try to compact and repair the database.

  • My Windows Mail will not stop sending old emails. Every time I hit send/receive, it sends thousands of old emails years ago. Someone at - he never meet this.

I called my internet provider, checked all the settings.  I have spend days trying to figure this.  Have thousands of emails coming and nothing out.  I think it's to be something with Windows Mail.  Can anyone help.  Thank you

Your topic and your statement is not suitable.  Send emails and do not receive them, or is that host them and sends them not?  You say in the subject, he sends thousands, but in the statement, you say nothing and thousands coming out.

Try to go to shipping and the view box. Current view | Show all messages and remove all what it.  Then delete your account e-mail, then compact and repair the database (using www.oehelp.com/WMUtil/) and then see www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3 to rule out the possibility of interference antivirus.  Then open Winmail again and add your return e-mail account and then see if it works.

If not, please describe the problem more clearly.

  • Windows mail does not properly. Help

On my laptop, I have 2 e-mail addresses of Windows, one for personal use (rarely used) and one for work. My work email receives ONLY emails sent to my personal email address.  No work e-mail can be sent or received e-mail from work.  Webmail is ok.

Unless you have created a second Inbox and message rules to divert mail, both accounts will use the same Inbox.

Go to tools | Accounts and make sure that the two accounts are configured correctly.

When you open a new message window, the account that is set as shown by default in the field. At the right end of the field is an arrow that you can use to change the account down.

  • How do I change Windows mail app to show all the email

The screen displays a small bar on the left, right, with a list of folders. then the rest of the screen is split between a list of senders and email that I click. This means that I can't actually read the e-mail because it is wider than half the screen. It's annoying bloody repulses me with this shit. How closer senders list so I can read emails without having to open the mail in a separate window. One who sets this parameter was a jerk

    Thank you

    Hi Natalieme,

Welcome to the Microsoft community. According to the description, it seems that you want to display email on a full page in Windows 8 mail application.

I'm sorry to inform you that it is the type of display available in Windows 8 mail by design application and cannot be changed or adjusted. To know the parameters in Windows 8 mail application, you can check out the link below:

  • Windows Mail does not open Inbox, all other files are missing.

When I open Windows mail, all records except local and Inbox are missing.

The rest of the screen is empty except for a message:

County of folder may not be displayed

Windows Mail could not open this folder.

    Possible Casuses are:

    low disk space

    not enough memory

After turning off my computer, defraggin computer to free up space to oup, I still got the same message.

I went on my ipad and access the windows messaging it. I had three new messages that I could access. I raise 9 unsent messages in your Outbox (they never appear on my desktop version). I cleaned up the.

restarted my computer desk - still no change.

    I use Windows Vista

I tried to download the package of Windows 941090 update but it said I had a bad version. I double checked, I had the correct 32-bit version.

So what can I try now?

    Thank you very much

I did export and then used the other program you suggested to compact the database, and finally I could work on my mail.  I could even delete nearly 1000 emails in the deleted files folder. Before it would just give me an error message.

  • Windows Mail will not export Emails my folder

Hello. I am trying to export my emails from Windows Mail, so I can import them to another program. I did, however when I looked the imported emails, I realized Windows Mail did not export the folder 'My email'. It has exported all other standard folders such as Inbox, deleted items etc. I tried just to export the folder 'My email', however I just had an empty folder. Any ideas? Thank you.

Can I assume that the "My email" folder is the one you created? What is the other email program you want to move them in? If it's an another e-mail client, try this.

To create a Windows folder on the desktop from the old machine.
    * Open a file in WinMail and drag the messages into the folder on the desktop. (They will remain in WinMail.)
To copy this folder on the desktop on the new machine.
Open the folder and drag the messages to a folder in the new e-mail program.

Windows Mail wants to open all attachments with Word rather than Word, Adobe, pad etc. How can I get the attachments to open properly?

    Hello

    1. Click the "Start" menu in the bottom left of Windows. Then select "Default programs".
    2. Click on the option "Associate any type of file or Protocol with a program."
    3. Select the file type you want to change the types of files listed. For example, if you want the text (.txt) file to open it in Microsoft Word instead of WordPad, choose '.txt '.
    4. Click on the "Change Program" button in the upper right window.
    5. In the list of programs, select "Microsoft Word". If Microsoft Word does not appear in the list, click on the button 'Browse' in the bottom right and choose Microsoft Word on your computer.
    6. Click on the button 'OK' and then 'close '. The next time you open this type of file, it will open it in Microsoft Word. Repeat this procedure for any other type of file you want to open in Word.

In a new message window: view | All the headers. Check it out. Or, simply click on the button to easily add to your contacts list to: To, CC, or BCC.

  • Problems of Windows Mail after you set up Sky email on Android phone

I had an account of Windows Messaging for many years. Computer uses Vista. My email account is with Sky.

I just bought a phone Android (Samsung Galaxy S 2) and to allow emails sync with this I enabled IMAP in my sky email account, then made a new account in Windows Mail IMAP settings.

The problem is that 10000 emails sent & received since 2008 trying to download. I continue to also invited to enter my username and password when I don't know the account entry is correct.

Finally, when in Windows Mail, I see now 2 lost records, a related probably to my previous account POP (still alive but not by default) and the other put my new IMAP account (and by default).

Can someone help me configure things properly? All I want is a set of folders in Windows Mail, and not that there are 10000 emails!

Anyone knows if I can talk to a human being in this regard if necessary?

    Thank you

Well, I did some research and was able to set up an IMAP account on my domain server.  There are some good instructions here: http://help.seattleserver.com/imap-setup-outlook-express that is specific to its installation, but you can see which screens, you will need to complete your details and options.

With respect to the 10000 emails, I suggest that you perform the following steps at the server level, which is to move messages from the Inbox to a folder created by the user.  Then in OE, go to tools | Accounts | Mail | Properties | IMAP and uncheck the option to check messages in all folders.  When you synchronize it can ignore the folders created by the user rather then synchronize with it.

    See if that helps any.

  • Desktop SMS and Windows Mail are not working together

    Hello

thought I'd post here here as having a few issues with my Windows Mail but my desktop computer suffers the same problems and on a Vista forum where I posted my problem a few very useful told me who to try to solve the problems.

One of them suddenly realized I had said my laptop is a Toshiba, and apparently the Desktop SMS and Windows Mail are not working together so that the person suggested unless I use it to uninstall apparently amongst the technically trained its known that these two programs do not like each other and explain why my office is not the problem but the laptop don't.

After you have reset the Touch of Windows Mail (tutorial on a site http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/ vista) wood don't be put off by vistax64 as site 32 and 64 and followed great reset Windows Mail from Brink (do not restore all mail) then uninstalled Desktop SMS and touch of the drink no more mail questions that gave me problems almost every day with marking than reading/sending project messages.

So had to click forward then remove those bits and complete the email to send and touch wood since doing these two things as soon as send an email to the box shipment or project to obtain the number of emails in parentheses, whereas before it wouldn't happen unless I closed the program and then reopened.

Hoping that these solutions have solved my problem and wanted to share it with someone else who wants to read this thread and you recommend Vista 64 because they are all very useful there and speak in non-technical terms for those of us not technically trained.

Unlike Windows XP & Vista, Windows 7 does not include a default email Client. [What were thinking?]

You will need to install a (e.g. MS Outlook;) Windows Live Mail; Thunderbird) , and then set it as a default for mail in CUSTOM (<>) article in Set Program Access and defaults of the computer , then restart your computer before any function send to or MailTo will become available.

Windows Mail is not refreshing since 09/02/2012.  When I try to update using the F5 key, I get the error messages.  The only way I can see me new emails is to sign on the web page of my Internet service provider, which I don't like.

original title: windows mail is NOT refreshing

It would be useful that Microsoft has put a notice to have several products access our email accounts so that us non-technical people could avoid these problems.

Maybe it's something that Apple should warn the consumer. I have three e-mail accounts and I receive and send all the accounts on three different computers at the same time and have never had this problem. Your case is the first.
