Windows Media Player 11 disorder (sync music)

Hello, having problems with my Media Player recognizing my Microsoft Zune when plugged into my usb port.
I am running Vista Home Premium 64-bit with service pack 2.
A year of my software Zune stopped working for me. Just says "Microsoft Zune has stopped working" before the program can open.
I've been on a few forums support for this the past two weeks with not just anyone can give me a real help.
This is why I would like to sync music from my pc via Windows Media Player to my Zune, but it detects not yet hooked.

johntaylor70, it is not possible to sync the music on Zune with WMP player. You must install and use the external Zune software: http://www.zune.net/products/software/download/default.htm . Tim Baets

  • my windows media player will not sync the audio for my mp3?

my windows media used to synchronize all audio of my mp3 player more I don't know what happens. the pc is reading being installed, but every time I try to sync the music my windows media player stops working.

    Hello RedFeather01,

Ø you get an error when you try to run synchronize your device with the media player?

Ø have you tried to format your Portable device and then try to synchronize?

Ø you have the latest version of the software or the driver installed on your computer to the MP3 player?

Try to copy the files of music from Windows Explorer. Most MP3 players will appear as a "disk" on your computer, and you can browse the files on them by simply opening.

I suggest that you format your Portable device, and then try to sync with Media Player. To format the laptop drive:

    1. right click on the Portable media player.

    2. Select the option.

    3. choose quick format and click ok.

  • Windows Media Player Popup annoying, Sync

Whenever I plug a USB device, such as a USB flash or a memory card - annoying _ sync in Windows Media Player displays a pop-up windows up - telling me to synchronize the device with WMP 11.

Screenshot: I hate this feature. It annoys the _ out of me, I'm not in it, and I do not wish to leave hidden .xml or all kinds of other files WMP 11 written to disk in this function. I can manage my own files, thank you very much, and none of them are multimedia files in any case. Even if they are, WMP 11 can not read them anyway without having to install a bunch of codecs.

In any case, I scoured the internet a couple of times already try to find a solution (but never find a)- and explains how to turn off this feature of microsoft in fact little more than more confused (first of all, there is no 'sync' tab in WMP 11, or I can't find it after spending 10 minutes trying to locate it).

In any case, I would like to know a way to remove or prevent this useless feature to appear what I plug a USB key. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

    EDIT:

Wow, how are the hec words (and add a k) and hel (and add an l) regarded as swearing and filtered? Use them even 10 years. Seriously, Microsoft, seriously. They're even in shows of PG-13. What is this forum? Rated e for everyone? Or P for preschool?

Actually to answer my own question, it seems that I found the solution in WMP 12 at least.

In order to end the sync partnership and stop scanning, you must first ensure that automatic synchronization is enabled.

Right click on the device in the Navigation and synchronization of the configuration pane.  Check the box for auto-sync and choose at least a playlist to synchronize.

When you are finished, you will now be able to choose "end sync partnership.

I hope this helps someone else as this has been annoying me for weeks and I could not find this solution everywhere.  I myself understand it for a change.  :)

  • Windows Media Player will not sync with my iPod

I have Windows Media Player 11 on my laptop, and when I try to sync my library with my iPod, windows does not show even my iPod is connected. I made my drive by default, but I don't know what else to do.  Other programs such as iTunes and Bearshare see my camera very well, is there something else I need to download or what? I've tried everything I can think of, and I am at a loss.  Can someone help me please?

    Hi VicVicVictoria,

Windows Media Player are not compatible with the iPod. You may need to purchase a plug-in to sync the iPod to your windows media player.

Otherwise, you will get assistance from Apple to download and use iTunes from the IPod website.
