There are some registry cleaner that aren't really all hype and to be honest some good
don't claim to solve a lot of mistakes. Better to leave them alone.

Most computers/dvd players have a decoder.

    Darren,
    a couple of things quickly...
first of all, make sure that the extended monitor is configured under the resolutions of your monitor and screen. Seems that the resolution is not set correctly.
Second, you can do a BING search on the type of program photo/slide show that you want to use. There are many free third-party software out there. Just be careful where get you it.

  • My copy of windows media player 11 does not play video.

My copy of windows media player 11 does not play video. When you try to play the video (usually an avi file) I get audio and visualization. I tried to uninstall and install new, but does not. I chose also to all types of files media player by default but video still does not play.

An avi file is simply a container that may have different types of files in it for video and audio.

You probably don't have the correct Codec to play the video.

Either download a codec pack such as K-lite or download a little program called G-spot, open it and drag your avi file in the center of the small window of G-spot.

It will then tell you what Codec uses the avi file. You can then Google that particulat Codec, download and install it.

    See you soon,.

  • Windows Media Player 11 lists and plays each song twice

Why Windows Media Player 11 list and play each song twice without being in a loop? Help me

I have problems with windows media player 11 playing each son twice and it is very annoying.  How can I solve this problem?

Sara: I suggest that you try to reset the media library. Note firstly reset the library will make you lose all play counts and ratings too. Then, follow these steps:

    -Restart the PC.
-Click Start, type services.msc in the search field and press ENTER. In Services, locate the Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service. If its status is started, double-click on the service and click on stop.
-Click Start, type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft in the search field and press ENTER. This folder opens in Windows Explorer.
-In this folder, delete the folder Media Player. If you do not see the folder, then it is probably hidden. Set Explorer to view the hidden files and folders and show protected system files.
-Launch WMP, your library will have been reset and will be rebuilt. Check if the problem persists.

    Hello

    Method 1:

You can try to reset the DRM licenses and check if the problem persists.

Important: Reset DRM tool removes all existing Windows Media DRM licenses and licenses of Zune DRM on your current installation of Windows 7. Reset DRM tool should only be used if all Zune DRM and Windows Media DRM content playback does not work. After the following process is finished, you must license the DRM from your Windows 7 computer.

Download DRM reset tool and save it to your desktop. To download this file, visit the following Web site:

    http://go.Microsoft.com/fwlink?LinkId=105000

    a. right-click ResetDRM.exe and then click Run as administrator to reset the Windows Media DRM.

    b. read the multimedia file ripped in Windows Media Player 12 for re - test Windows Media DRM.

When I ask your help files that they not give information for the music of copy/extraction of video files! Why are you being *?

    Hi Ronald,.

Thanks for posting your query in the Microsoft Community Forums.

According to the description of the problem, it seems that you can not drag video files from a drive on the Windows Media Player.

I would appreciate it if you could answer the following questions to help you best:

    1. what happens when you try to drag the files?

    2. do you get an error message?

3 have there been recent changes made on the computer before the show?

I suggest to copy the files on the desktop and try to drag and check if this may help. The player adds automatically a file that you play from removable media such as a CD or DVD.
