Original titile: burned disc will not play

I burned a photo slide show and added music.  However, when I put the disc playing, a window pops up that says "Windows Media Player cannot play the DVD because the disc prohibits playback in your region of the world.  You must obtain a disc that is intended for your geographic region. "I bought the discs in my geographical area, so why didn't he play?  Any help would be appreciated.
