Windows media player, playing at a fast pace HELP!

I hope someone can help me. I use mozilla and internet explore and have problems with my videos to play in school. They play at an extremely fast pace where I can not even see or read. I have a laptop that is only a year and this is the version of windows 7. I tried mozilla to see if it was internet Explorer but it happens with mozilla as well. At this point, I'm desperate because none of my other classmates have problems with the videos play for them at home for our school courses. Thank you, Gretchen

Hello

1. when exactly this problem? It's playback of videos videos online or play in Windows Media Player?
2. are you able to read other than school videos playing videos normally?
3. did you of recent changes on the computer before this problem?
I suggest to run the troubleshooter and check if that helps.

  • Do I have to install a specific program for my windows media player play a movie than US (.bup)?

A movie will not play through my Windows Media Player because it says it does not support the (.bup) files.

    Hi matthewrayskylarethan,

Please use the forum for answers,

A BUP file type is a backup file created by a variety of applications, including treatment, recognition and Word presentation packages. The BUP file type is generally created automatically in the event of a program crash or if the original file is corrupted due to a programming error or viruses.

Can you tell us where you get the file from?  What is the file supposed to be? A movie? Soundtrack?
This could mean that your video file or the sound track is corrupted when download.  As a result, he created a .bup file to report the error.  Give us more details so that we can provide you with accurate solutions.

    Hope this helps,

Download Prism-FormatFactory and video file converter to convert my MOV files (from the Canon camera) because I wanted to use Microsoft Movie Maker and it does not recognize the MOV files.  Convert AVI and WMV files.  Media Player played them well before the update of the version of Media Player that I had.  Updated my Player multimedia media Player 11 last night and now nothing works.  Files that I ran across the Prism both FormatFactory have no video and audio.  A couple have begun to play but only for half a second, then turns off.  Any ideas?  Really frustrated here.  Have already downloaded service pack most recent for the codec as well.

  • Windows media player plays is not the wmv files

I installed a new version of AMD Catalyst Software Suite V 12.2.00 08/03/11 and immediately pinned the problem of not being able to run the MWV Media Player files.  The media player will turn green and the audio works well.  I guess that my old (2008) Dell Studio 540 Intel Core Quad 2.66 Hz machine is too slow for all graphical applications included in the CCC again.  I uninstalled the entire update and installed the driver more AMD V 8.950.0.0.  Rebooted and tried to execute a file on Media Player WMV.  The same problem.  I went back to a restore point, until the day before the installation of the new version of the Suite software Catalyst.  Then I rolled back to the previous driver V 8.920.0.0.  Does not solve the problem.

I finally ended up at this place where someone posted the same problem.  I went if the three methods that have been listed.
Method 1: Go to the Play-year-audio or video file FAQ
    Result: Nothing useful there.

Method 2: Re-save the file and check, it is that it works.
    Result: Panel received
    DllRegisterServer in successful wmvdecod.dll OK

Method 3: Change screen Resolution.  My procedure was different from that used by anyone trying to help the first user.  I'm running Windows Vista 64 - bit SP2.  I had to go through the display settings, advanced settings.  Click on change settings and I received the message: your current display driver does not allow changes need to be made to hardware acceleration settings.  I then clicked on the Troubleshooting tab and received the following panel;  Catalyst Control Center cannot be started.  Currently, there are no settings that can be configured using Catalyst Control Center.     No big surprise that I had uninstalled the CCC.  Should I reinstall again?

Having listed all the codecs on my machine, I have no idea what to do with them.  The only one that seems to apply is WMVideo Decoder DMO.

    My profile is:
Dell Studio 540 Intel Core Quad 9400 Hz 2.66 6 GB memory
    Vist Windows 64 - bit SP2
Dell E207WFR ATI Radeon HD 3400 Series
    Driver AMD V 8.920.0.0

    Hello

    (1) is there an error message or an error code during playback of .wmv files?

I suggest to disable audio enhancements and check if you're able to play .wmv files. Follow method 1 to disable audio enhancements.

    Method 1:

    a. Open Sound by clicking on the Start button, and then clicking Control Panel.

    (b) in the search box, type sound, and then click sound.

    c. on the playback tab, click speakers and then click Properties.

    d. click the enhancements tab, and then select turn off check all sound effects box.

Method 2: Uninstall and reinstall Windows Media Player with Windows features enable or disable:
    Step 1.
    Uninstalling Windows Media Player:
    (a) go to start and in the search type "Turn Windows has or not.
    (b) click on "Turn Windows features on or off".
    (c) access of media features and uncheck the brand in the face of Windows Media Player.
    (d) restart the computer

    Step 2.
    Reinstall Windows Media Player:
    (a) go to start and in the search type "Turn Windows has or not.
    (b) click on "Turn Windows features on or off".
    (c) access of media features and place a check mark in front of the Windows Media Player.
    (d) restart the computer.

  • Why Windows Media Player plays the song wrong when I click it in a playlist?

I did a huge selection automatically (with 145 songs) with five-star is Windows Media Player 12 in Windows 7 on my Dell XPS L702X.

So, let's say that I want to hear "Everybody Hurts [edit]" r.e.m. I click on n, it starts WMP play "Slips through my fingers" by Agneta Fältskog!
He plays another song which is 24 positions above!
At first, it used only for touch me when I was sorting the songs in the playlist by Genre, Album, year, etc... But now, even with the contributing artist, he played another song!
The only way for her to play the song I want is with some navigation arrow keys or when I clicked on the playlist and I'd get a unsorted list. With the unsorted list, I find the song.
It's a difficult problem, but I have a temporary solution. But please try to find an answer!
EDIT: now at random. Unsorted perspective will give me wrong songs and the artist's view contributing sort will give me good music! What a mix! Say that it is a "re - Mix"!

The button appears on mine, but you can use it in 'Streaming' is turned on, and the PC can connect to your multimedia device (TV in my case).

PS - the search around, I just found this tip for another ' play to ' problem on WMP12.

    1 closed WMP12.
    2. go into [Control Panel-> system] Services and safety-> administration-> Services tools
    3. Locate the service named "Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service"
    4. stop the Service manually.
5 locate the "UpnP device host" service Stop the service and restart it.
    6. start 'Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service' now.
    7. close the control panel and all the windows. Open Windows Media Player... make a right click on a playlist and see if the Play option lists the TV. Try to play now... He started playing for me at this point!

While the symptoms were not the same as yours, it may be useful to at least check the services are listed and started.
