Windows media player won't open! Help!

When I try to open Windows Media Player, this error occurs..

The file wmploc.dll has a version number of 11.0.6001.7008 where 11.0.6001.7010 was expected.

Windows Media Player is not installed correctly and must be reinstalled.

Ive tried to go to the website they sent me, but I can't understand how it redownload!

All solutions would be great:(j'aime ma musique.)

Thank you all for trying to help me, but I solved my problem. I write for other people who have this problem as well. That's what I did to fix my problem and Media Player is working GREAT!

You must remove these keys

  • Delete HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\Setup\wmp.dll
  • Delete HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\Setup\wmploc.dll
  • Delete HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\Setup\\wmplayer.exe

BY DOING THIS-

1. with the help of vista as your operating system, go to your desktop.

2. try to press F1 for help

3. type this in the search box... HOW TO OPEN THE REGISTRY KEY?

4. There are 30 results, I guessed...

5. try to click on the "back up the registry.

6. then click on 'Open the registry editor'

7. in this case, you can see all the folders, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE

8 she, hope this will help you...

and then, you will find the names of folders and these keys should be there. If you are computer illiterate, I'll be happy to help you. Thank you guys for trying to help!

ZIP files are compressed, so you need to unzip and then play the content if the
content is of type WMP files.

  • Why should I Resize Windows Media Player, whenever I open it?

Why should I Resize Windows Media Player, whenever I open it?

First of all, I apologize because clearly, nobody else here knows what you're feeling :)

The problem is in fact a function: If you open a file (such as a video) directly, WMP opens directly to the ' Now Playing ' screen to display the video (the video can not be displayed in library mode where it lists all the files).  It is locked, you cannot change this behavior (because I'm sure you would agree, everyone would complain if they could not see a video playing every time they played, of course!)

But what you can do, there's WMP to always be the size you want!

    (1) play a video in WMP.
    (2) while the video plays, click anywhere in the video and uncheck the option 'Fit Player to video'.

WMP will attempt is no longer to adjust its size whenever a video is played.

Windows Media Player won't rip CD more. I put it in MP3 format. I get the COOD1OD2 error message, and by virtue of the clarification it indicates that the error message is COODOFBO which says that the setting of the CD in Device Manager do not match parameter of cd in the drive. I use to be able to rip the CD months ago. I just upgraded to WMP 11 because the sansa clip has not been recognized and updated WMP. How can I fix this.
