WINDOWS NARRATOR

I upgraded to W7 to W8.  Now, I'm trying to use NARRATOR to read not my shots, but to read selected text or a classic set of about 100 pages book.  I'm only following different instructions to get it going, but the Narrator reads just strikes.  And when I followed the instructions, for example by pressing a combination of keys (with the exception of Ctrl, Caps Lock and one or two other keys)... I am invited vocally by the Narrator that "key is not part of the command of the Narrator," etc.  I have little time to use Internet, so I will try to use the Narrator to take offline. Moreover, the Narrator is NOT LISTED UNDER programs & features.  Do I have to download the Narrator from scratch?  Once again, the number IS (apparently) ',' BUT only when I press any of the keys on the keyboard.  It also reads the title of one of the books, "Crime & Punishment" I like to listen to, but that is it!  Moreover, when I point out the point (cut) an individual, for example and follow the instructions in Microsoft Windows, the Narrator does not read.  Help, please!

Thank you very much in advance.
JO

Hi Jo,.

Narrator provides basic screen-reading capabilities in order to use Windows when you don't have a screen reader more complete. Narrator is not designed to read content in all applications. For more about screen readers and other assistive technologies, visit the Microsoft Accessibility Web site.

Please refer to the article for more information about the Narrator:

It will be useful. If you have additional questions on the computer, please ask your question about Windows and we will be happy to help you.

  • Windows Narrator 8 - activated without reason Volume keys

    Hello

Im a new owner for the DELL XPS 12

No problems with my volume keys because they were used to control the volume

Turn on my laptop today and all a sudden volume key makes the screen flashes and the + volume button turns the Narrator. My hard volume keys have now no other function than the Narrator.

Is there a way I can disable the shortcut key?

(I'm not asking the disabling of the Narrator, I know, its ease of access, im asking how to disable this shortcut)

Hi, I had this problem myself on the Surface Pro 2, and it seems to be caused by the machine to think that the Windows key is held down.

Win + flight Up is the shortcut to start Narrator
Win + flight Down is the shortcut to take a screenshot, which reduces the brightness of your screen (the screenshots appear to be installed by default in ~ \Pictures\Screenshots)
What fixed it for me was simply touch the Windows key on the front of my camera a couple of times.
    Good luck everyone,
    -Sami

wish that they tell us what devices, when and what models, almost three weeks waiting and still no update. It's frustrating. had a driver idt audio and don't want to lose my audio again. We are with the internode, but thinking of switching and expects the nbn out and a cable that is broken or defective, our box of fritz, slow Internet, phone phone home dying, stall, people can't hear. TPG care and they have diluted the brand iinet and internode, then, only get about 5 or 6 MB / sec, should get 11 or 12. not good enough.

I had exactly the same thing happens my laptop Satellite L70-C-12R and said I need to buy a factory reset USB from TOshiba (£42). This seemed to do the trick, but I see once more that are problems before the accident. laptop not to close (continuous reboot itself), extended screens goes black and now the anniversary 10 Windows Update will not install with error 80070008 0 x.

I have run exactly the same OS and software on my Asus and have no problem at all.

    I suspect it's a clash of 10 Toshiba/Windows somewhere.

    Hello

I understand you want to make changes to the Windows Narrator as he pronounced a few words incorrectly.

Unfortunately the Narrator can be customized. You can find more information about the features of Narrator in the article below:
