Also my internet provider is Cox, and they give free Mcafee internet security, so I do not know if his is. Could someone help me?

  I have installed two updates that have been recommended to fix Windows update successfully and in September, has received nearly 200 updates.  but since I only get error messages when I try to access the new updates.  I'm running Windows 7, 64-bit on my laptop Dell XPS.
