Windows Update list updates to date for products that are not installed
Windows Update said I got 4 updates for. I went to see what they were so I could download and install. I noticed that 2 of them were products I and 2 era for the things I didn't.
Why would I receive updates for Microsoft Office 2007 when I didn't have any part of it installed and I have Microsoft Office 2010 is installed. These updates are of no use to me then why I get them.
I have not installed Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack.

It lists the reg keys his looking, then you might check to see if you put them before doing anything.
Back up your registry and set a restore point before taking any action - assuming that is your problem.
Also, if you download and run the file, AV check it before running it - just in case.
NOTE: the above was found by google, I have not tried that I have not had the error. I can't say if it works or not.
PS - Also, FYI, while the research I found this http://support.microsoft.com/kb/893048 , but it seems specific to XP - SP2. Don't know if there is an equivalent W7.

A computer virus hit the machine so that the operating system must be reinstalled. In order to save the programs installed, I don't have a format and reapplied just windows + service pack. I saved the data user as shown in this link: http://pcworld.about.com/gi/dynamic/offsite.htm?site=http :// www.pcworld.com/howto/article/1, aid, 111652, pg, 4, 00.asp
The office and programs are correct, but when I go to launch some programs (such as Excel, Word, WordPerfect), I get "this action is only valid for products that are current installed. I found a MS fix, but it doesn't install it stating that the level of the OS already contains the fix. I also found a pointer to move to the word 'Detect and repair' but Word does not start, so I can't have this option.
I suspect I am missing some link between the old installation of windows and the new facility. I do not have the older Office CD so I can't reinstall. Did someone knows something I can check to try to get the Office to acknowledge that it is valid for this user. Betsy
You are missing a lot of the associations. You need to reinstall your programs from the CD or the installable executables. I'm sorry that you do not have your Office CD-ROM, but you cannot reinstall Office without it. You can:

Thanks for the reply again, I just did a Tassel factory by pressing F8 at startup upward and then through the options and make Factory Image Restore (after saving the contents of the hard drive to external hard drive) which took about 5-8 minutes after the return and then re-installed all my programs etc. , and everything works fine!
So I say this to all who have the same problem and no other method does work, simple - easy - fast!

Windows Update driver Fresco Logic USB Hub rot caused the pilot to read device status: the drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28). The Roll Back button is not active. Where can I get the previous driver that came with my system. ASUS N53S Windows 7. Thank you very much.
Hello
Thanks for posting in the Microsoft Community.
I understand your annoyance that you cannot update the driver hub USB rot. Please follow the steps below to help you to solve the problem.
I would like to inform you that a Code 28 error is caused by a driver missing for that piece of hardware.
There are all sorts of reasons that a driver could not be installed for a device, but your troubleshooting the problem will be the same regardless of the root cause.
- Remove or reconfigure newly installed unit.
- Restore the version before your driver update.
- Use system restore to undo recent changes in Device Manager.
Step 1: Roll back the driver to the version before your update.
If you are having problems with your computer or device after upgrading sound driver, you can restore to an earlier device driver. If you are having problems with your computer or device after upgrading sound driver, you can restore to an earlier device driver. If you are having problems with your computer or device after upgrading sound driver, you can restore to an earlier device driver. If you are having problems with your computer or device after upgrading sound driver, you can restore to an earlier device driver. Check out the link below to make back the driver:
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-in/Windows/restore-driver-previous-version#1TC=Windows-7
When Windows 7 starts up again, it will load with the device driver of this material that you had previously installed.
I suggest you to uninstall the driver from hub to rot Fresco Logic USB Device Manager and install the most recent on the manufacturer's Web site.

I ran a windows update and a hardware update for ALL-IN-WONDER RADEON 7500 was available. I wasn't sure what it was, but I did research some information about drvier... or windows hardware and device driver has informed me that it detects what device(certain hardware) I have on my computer to install the update. (I don't know if it's true) anyway, since then, when I start my computer, the 'new hardware found' window. After investigating on I found it cause the ALL-IN-WONDER RADEON 7500 (I don't think I know what it is). There was my this info in my device (6 times) Manager: its an unknown device located in the ALL - IN - WONDER RADEON 7500 and it states that "the drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28) "what is it and how to fix it." I don't know if I'm to disable or uninstall. As I said, these updates I got Windows update manager and I'm guessing that it was not successful.
That is, what it does and how can I solve this problem?
Thanks in advance

I connect and transfer content from my computer to my Kindle all the time, but today when I plugged the Kindle my pc tells me that the device needed troubleshooting. After you run the troubleshooter, I gives me this message:
"The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)
There is no driver selected for the item or a set of device information.
To find a driver for this device, click Update driver. »
This has never happened before, and, no, I have not recently downloaded new applications, programs, updates or had a system crash. It was, as usual, a few things. Where it says "to find a driver for this device, click Update driver" which is non-interactive. I can see it, but you can't click on it. That's happened? What should I do?

Original title: driver for Windows game controller problem
My Logitch wireless gamepad F710 does not work laptop with my HP Pavilion dv6-6017tx PC Xinput mode (Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit). But it works very well in mode Dinput. When I have this device in windows in Xinput mode displays an error in the window of the driver in detail which 'the drivers for this device are not installed (Code 28)'. I uninstalled and reinstalled the driver of Logitech software, but the problem is still there.
I tested this device to a desktop PC (Windows 7 Professional 32-bit), but this PC detects F710 controller using Xinput, working absolutely as planned without any installed driver software, provided by Logitech. In the details of driver in the PC window, it shows that his taking the pilot as "XBOX 360 Controller for Windows" and the driver file is xnacc.sys in system32 folder and when I searched my system32 laptop dv6 folder I found this file is missing and I n, t know why.I also tried to control windows search for drivers online, but windows has failed to find it.So what should I do now?Help, please!Thank you very much for the reply.
I thought about it finally.I installed the driver for the controller XBOX 360 for Windows on microsoft's site and installed. Then plugged the device and select the driver manually installation option and wanted Xbox 360 controller for windows driver in the list. Now my controller F710 currently also works well in mode Xinput and Dinput.Thank you very much.
