You are able to update of AVG?
Any other antivirus (i.e. Norton, McAfee, etc.) has already been installed on this computer?

My Windows Media Player has stopped playing my torrent files. He plays music very well, but my movie files (torrent) will no longer play. I was watching a movie on this subject earlier and I clicked on something that I should not have and all the files stopped working! When my computer detects what happened it gave me this message:
A problem with Windows Vista
Windows Vista has stopped working properly. This problem has been resolved in Windows Vista Service Pack 1 (SP1).
To resolve this issue, follow these steps:
Determine if your type of operating system 32-bit or 64-bit.How will I know if my system type is 32-bit or 64-bit?
Click the Start button, right-click computer, and then click Properties.
Under system, you can view the system type.
The average of 32-bit and 64-bit?
Both 32-bit and 64-bit refer manner that your computer (CPU) CPU processes information. The 32-bit versions and 64-bit Windows are designed for use in computers with 32-bit processors or 64-bit, respectively.

Windows Media Player unable to play media files
License migration
I recently got a virus in my system, I had to have my computer cleaned up so I could get back to using my computer. In any case, in my library of music 11 windows media I get 'You need a license to play this content' and blah, blah, blah. And then they start talking about license migration, and they tell me that I have to download a new license, but when I try to get this 'NEW' license it is some type of "screw up / error" and I can not play my content without going through rubbish even every time without any result of corrective.

check files on the jumpdrive to see if they would play?Might be interesting to try another.

Windows Media Player won't play track: quick to install install software R & R
Problem with vista media player - R & R Installer
When you use windows media player in vista that it will often refuse to play a piece with the message saying that I need the R & R software and need to reboot to continue, but when I click the button nothing happens. All my music is either from the CD or download in mp3 format, R & R is much more often for the tracks on the CD. The online help and support refuses to accept my product ID, and does not work. This use to happen rarely, but is now happening regularly after about 30 minutes of music.
Can you help me please?

Windows Media Player won't play videos
I have Windows XP Home Sp 3 with all updates.
There are three computers in my house, all with the same OS.
We'll play videos and memories on TV with Windows Media Player slideshows, but others will not. Who will play has been longer and maybe have a better codec. Otherwise, I don't know why.
I prepare a thesis on slide TV show which will be sent to about 100 people. It is the DVD-R format and will probably be played on DVD players for which there should be no compatibility issues. Some will want to see on their computers, however, and this is where the problem arises. I use mostly WinDVD, so I have no problem, but what do the people who have that WMP?
I don't understand why WMP should do by default. Do I say to people who want to see the DVD on his computer?
Hello
You have converted this file to windows media player supported file types or they should have DVD decoder installed on the computer.

Why isn't Windows Media Player DVD more play?
I played DVD on my Windows XP Home edition before, he always played them very well, but then suddenly it stopped reading DVDs, everytime I put a DVD in (from the same DVD I used to play on the computer), all I get is a message that reads as follows:
"Windows Media Player cannot play the DVD because no compatible DVD decoder is not installed on your computer."
I don't know why he does not play the most, I've tried it on WinDVD and it only plays DVD when the movie is opened its files (in other words, I have to go "Playlist" then select the DVD drive and open the video folder and open all video files to it to play the movie...) I would really apprecate that it if someone could help me with this issue, at least let me know how to fix or what happened to the decoder or what...PS: When I run " dvdupgrd / detect' to see my status as a DVD player, the window that appears named, detected DVD decoders reads:" "
"No decoders found.

Win9x Upgrade = no

Hope someone can help me...FWIW... Win XP cannot natively recognize Commercial

stop the Windows media player 11 to play without apparent reason
In recent weeks, my Windows Media Player 11 has been rather eccentric. Sometimes (and apparently with increasing frequency) WMP stop just playing the track, I'm playing, it does seem to be some tracks and occurs only with files Mp3. I have updated codecs and WMP itself was already perfectly up to date as much as WMP 11 can be updated. The system is not 'suspended' and I don't have any problem reading Mp3 Zune player. I don't know why it does this, it gets worse and worse still, at first it was once a few everyday now its several times a day. I did spies and antivirus software and found nothing.
I am running Windows Vista 64-bit with SP2 and all other updates are current as well as for Windows and installed everything.Motherboard: Asus M4A785-MAudio use onboard VIA VT1708S8 GB of system RAM1.2 TB of free hard drive space (checked to find errors, also using the sd card to play MP3s from and still has this problem)If the thing is needed let me know.Thank you!Edit: I forgot to mention that before this WMP started getting lag to load anything, I load wmp and the video or music does not start for about 10 seconds. All other works very well with no latency.Hi DarkFears,
Follow these methods.
Method 1: Perform a clean boot to see if there is a conflict of software like the clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.
Note: After the boot minimum troubleshooting steps, follow step 7 in the link to return the computer to a Normal startupmode.
Method 2: Return the items.
