Windows Vista 64 Edition Add / Remove Programs list issue?

Hey there my good people!

Today I downloaded Adobe Shockwave program on my laptop HP man love works perfectly, those I notice that, in the list add/remove program icon beside the Adobe Shockwave is simply window. Now, is this normal behavior for laptop and windows vista 64 to show this type of indication. I have noticed on my Dell computer the Adobe Shockwave represents its full screen and icons hows everything from texture. Is this right? those can't have or something is missing and how I can get it for my laptop?

Thank you very much for your attention, please hit me peepz back and made me know wat is in place!

Yours trully Vally Pally!

Brothers and sisters love

You have several answers in your other thread: http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/vistaappearance/thread/d92288f4-0a8a-4d9c-9906-ce0755614fed.

Please post a question only once in these forums.  Unlike chat rooms, posting several times not you will get answers more quickly.  In fact, because the responses and the responses can be split between multiple threads, it can take even more time before you get the answer you want and you will probably see the same recommendations and requests further information in multiple threads (and when a notice of the administrator, the son will be merged anyway).  Please be patient and someone will get back to you later.  It also makes it more difficult for people seeking answers to similar problems, because they think that they have several different situations that could help them when in fact it's the same situation only duplicate and so they must travel more threads - and is not good.

Thanks and good luck!

  • Withdrawal of obsolete lists in the Add/Remove program list?

I'm working on the clean-up of an older system running Windows XP Pro. The system has two hard drives... whose the second crashed and burned in a fatal way. Software that has been installed on the second drive hard disappeared and is not installed on the replacement drive. The problem this presents, although perhaps minor but annoying, however, is that programs that were on the second disc appear on the Add/Remove Programs list, accessed via the Control Panel, even if they are no longer really exist on the system. Is there a good way to clean the list add/remove program entries for programs that have been lost and never be recovered due to a failure of hard drive like that? Also, are there any other proceedures recommended to clean all traces of system programs that have been lost in this way? Try to remove the traces of these programs using the Add/Remove list does not of course because the entries in the list of reference locations and files that no longer exist.

    Thank you.

Download ccleaner from piriform. Click Tools > uninstall. Highlight the entries that appear, but is really installed. Then choose Delete. Reformatting is an extreme measure for a simple issue resloved. Regarding running the ccleaner registry cleaning tool, that I personally used for several years without a single incident. This does not apply to all the registry tools however.

  • Generic icon in the Add/Remove Programs list

Hello to you all, useful forum fans!

I have a nice custom icon that I built in my specs of the executable version, but when I use an installer to install my program, the icon in the Add/Remove Programs list is the software generic one (with the box open and CD).  How can I get my custom icon to use in the list as well?  I'm using LabVIEW 8.5.1 (and wishing my company should pay for 2010! ).

    Thanks for your help,

  • Windows Installer inaccessible folder + add/remove programs hangs

    Hello

Today, I had some problems with Mozilla Firefox. After a while it hung and I had to hard-reboot of my computer.
After research and virus problems, it seemed that the %WINDIR%\Installer folder was not accessible. My system hung up when I tried to open the folder (and when Windows read this content to view details).
I then opened the Add/Remove Programs page, which hung in the same way.
I have no problems installing programs (I first tried to update to Firefox, which caused no problem).

System requirements: Windows Vista Home Premium, SP1.

Currently, my computer works fine, but probably it crashes again at the opening of this file.

    Does anyone know a solution?

    Thank you!

    Update: my problem is solved.
I checked my drive on the flaws and repaired a few (of the signonhelper Windows Live) .msi file in the installation folder.

    Hello

-You are aware of any changes made on the computer before this problem?

Method 1: Scan (Scan SFC) System File Checker
    (a) click on Start
    (b) choose run and type CMD
    (c) type sfc / Scannow
It contributes to the scanning of all the system files that are protected immediately and it will help you to know the system files corrupted on your computer.

Method 2: I havef the problem occurred recently, restore the computer to a time where it was working fine. Check if it helps.
