Windows Vista - internet and constant disk checks

Original title: computer nightmare for the last 2 weeks! Help, please

Hi all

My computer has caused me nightmares for the past two weeks.  A few weeks ago, I found my broadband doesn't work anymore.

Reason: 02 customer forced us to migrate to Sky broadband.    Her husband threw all the letters on this issue here course :-(

Got my Hub sky and cannot connect to broadband, always using all wired to the top.  I got messages on the service DHCP does not and the other stuff I don't understand.

I have a Dell Inspiron desktop computer about 5-6 years.  Running Vista Home Premium.  32-bit.   I don't think it's wireless.

An hour spent on the phone with a tech Sky ca and still no luck with the connection.  Wi - fi works well, then, he said, it takes my computer.

I have restored the previous point at computer in time (about 4 days ago, when we were using the box 02) restarted the computer recognizes the sky hub finally and wide band worked

Only problem is now, we can use internet on any browser and IE no longer works.  Everything disappears from the screen, except my

screen saver.  All task bars go and it freezes.  Duty to Control Alt Delete and disconnect you do something else and sign back in.   While the internet still does not work.

Need to restart the computer and go through the computer C drive for consistency control that takes forever.  About 10 minutes.

It now checks C drive whenever I turn on which is annoying.

I ran all my scans for viruses and malicious software, and it doesn't seem to be the associated virus.

I have no idea if the transition to broadband is causing it or the age of the computer.  Seems very strange to me.  Today I received a new Hub of sky and always drive by checking the thing :-(

Please can you offer me some advice.   I should add that the Dell came with pre-installed Vista so I have no disks for it.

    Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.

    In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.

    See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.

    Normally, you have to press F10 or F11 at startup to start the recovery process...

    Another way I've seen on some models is press F8 and go to a list of startup options, and launch a recovery of standards of plant with it, by selecting the repair option.

    Or borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, etc).
    A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
    The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.

    There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.

    If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):

    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu

    Using the F8 method:

    1. Restart your computer.

    There is no decommissioning as such; Installing a clean place to go back to Vista.

    You can reinstall Vista recovery disk/s that you made, or with those of the manufacturer of the computer.

    Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.

    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

    Windows Vista Boot and goes directly to the F8 screen, when you select an option it the computer goes black and never start. I do not install any program again, I worked with my online banking and the computer freezes I turn it off and restart and from there to show this problem. I test the computer with seetools to test the hard drive but when I hit to accept the test the keyboard won't obey my order; later I test with Hiren and I could make a mini feture call windows xp here I could see the C drive and all files on this too, I was able to open it. What you think about that happening could be the operating system or perhaps another problem?
