Windows XP SP3 - status bar remains at 0% during installation.
Update does not run after you download the update - what can do?
I am running Windows XP service pack 2. I want to
upgrade to the service pack today.
Windows downloads successfully update.
He then referred to a bar that remains State execute
0% until it expires and the signals of the update has failed.
I ran fixit tool that says it fixed some settings.
Rerun the update produces the same behavior as before failure...
Run fixit again a second time, said he has no problem
on the machine to fix.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance for the time that you give the question.
Yours,
George Celniker

I am currently using Windows XP Professional Version 2002 SP3 with specification of my computer as below:
Intel Pentium D 3.40 GHz 3.39 GHz
3.5 GB RAM
I tried to upgrade to Windows 7 by restarting my computer and boot from the CD. Setup goes as usual, initially, he asked for the language installation during installation, and after I clicked OK, the window titled "Load driver" had appeared with his message as below;
"To install the device driver required to access your hard drive, insert the installation media containing the driver files and then click OK."
What are the problems really? Because I think I have all the necessary drivers and before that everything works fine. Where can I get the drivers? And how to solve this?
Help, please. Thank you. :)
- Disable the general USB peripherals (for example - smart card reader).
- If you are using a SCSI drive, make sure you have the drivers available for your storage on a thumdrive device and it is connected. During the installation of Windows 10, click on the advanced custom Option and use the command load driver to load the driver for the SCSI drive. If this does not work and the installer still fails, consider switching to an IDE based hard drive.
- If you have an external equipment, attached to the machine, unplug them (example, game controllers, USB sticks, external hard drive, printers, peripherals not essential).

reinstalled Windows Small Business Server 2003 and Intranet failed during installation
I had to reinstall Small Business Server 2003 and I can't after setting up where Exchange, etc. are installed. It passes through Exchange perfectly and blocks on the Intranet tools on Disc 3. I use the "fixed" CD because the 3 original drive was corrupted when we bought SBS2003. Our version is the original pre-service pack 1. Is there anyway to download a disk image 3 where my disk is damaged? It seems good, no scratches, scratches or dirt.

Windows XP SP3 with IE8 installed/uninstalled several times
original title: Windows XP SP3 with IE8 installed.
During the last week, I had 3 systems of Windows XP with SP3 & IE8 installed for service & and/or repairs. Update of Microsoft in the last week has been remove IE8 only to install IE8 again. Anyone can shed some light on why?
(1) all XP operating systems are 32-bit.
(2) IE8 was downloaded Microsoft as an installation for XP 32 bit offline.
(3) IE8 has been properly installed on all occasions.
(4) Microsoft update removes installed IE8 then causes other updates to fail, restart the PC and then to reinstall IE8.
(5) frustrating - so I do not install IE8 at this stage - allow update of Microsoft to provide the service.
(6) the location is of the Australia
(7) post updated will record tomorrow - God wanting!

1 have you ever had the opportunity to do a Repair Installation or a clean installation of Windows XP for some reason any?

Status bar in the Finder Windows?
I remember that there used a status bar (or the information bar or whatever) at the bottom of all the Finder Windows by default with information such as the number of files in the current folder, etc, but I do not see it in El Capitan. Is there a way to turn this back on? It was very useful.
They are two distinct: display the status bar, see the path bar

Should the popup status bar change the background of the window of appearances?
I use Firefox 4.0 on Windows 7 with disabled windows transparency. In this case, the window frames (very thick, unfortunately) are completely opaque and display a background image that has an edge from white to blue 30% down from the top. (If you wish, I can provide screenshots.)
Now, when I pass a link, the pop up with the address appears, and the look of Windows this seems to change the height of the full window. That of why it resizes the frame window's background image and noted edge moves, which is quite annoying. I don't want the old status bar back - but when I hide the pop-up with the add-on 'Status-4-Evar' this problem does not occur.
I guess that this happens on all machines. At least on mine, it has not been fixed with all add-ons disabled in safe mode.
It will be this bug - Aero glass effect glaze jumps down when the status info overlay appears - https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=633282

With the help of dual boot OS, Windows XP SP3 / Ubuntu 10.04. Even Firefox v3.16.13. In windows, using the button display in the menu bar, I can't turn off the menu bar. You use Ubuntu, the same option is available in "display".
I used "subject: Config" before, but I'm very careful and document all changes. Any time I need to access the menu items, using windows, I just use alt = _.In versions of Firefox 3.6 you can hide the bar of menus under Windows and not Linux. In Firefox 4 beta current versions you can hide the Menu bar and have the greyish Firefox button instead and use F10 to temporarily show the Menu bar, so you need to wait or try the beta version .

What happened to the status bar at the bottom of the window?
The status bar at the bottom of the window that displays the number of files has disappeared with the last update (12.3.2.35) (Win 7 Pro 32 bit)?
CTRL - / active / disable the status bar on and outside, or use display > show status bar.

Under the reader of CD/DVD in Windows Explorer - tile view - I get a red bar state showing amount of disk used/available. Normally, the status bar is blue. What does the red bar? I can't see the content of the DVD - then it's probably bad - but I would like a confirmation of what means red color. Thank you - cbski
Hi cbski,
I am not sure why the bar is red, but you may find the answer if you go to disk management and examine the information here. Click on start - Control Panel - System Maintenance - under administrative tools, click on create and format hard disk Partitions.
I'm moving this question to programs where someone may be able to offer additional information.

Free disk space in the Windows Explorer status bar.
In Windows 7, I wonder how to display disk space is free in the Windows Explorer. In XP, you could see how much space was free down in the status bar. He would say how objects and disk space that was free. How can I activate this in Windows 7?
Return to the root that particular drive is annoying, when I should be able to see how much free space I have for any folder.
Thank you.
These 2 features have been removed from the latest version of windows and really help to speed up the use of every day:
Display the amount of free space
Display of the total size of the files in folders. How this two features can be added to the status bar?
