  • Cannot get the Telnet Client to install on Vista Ultimate 64 bit

I am trying to install the Telnet Client on my Vista Ultimate 64 bit.  After waiting for quite a long time so he could install, I get this message:

"An error has occurred. Not all features have been changed successfully. »

Anyone know what this means and what I can do to make this complete installation?

    Thank you.

    C.

    Hello Var242,

We will check your services and see if the telnet service is disabled.  If it is disabled, then lets set it to automatic.
Even after installation, this service tends to default to disabled.  We will check this and see if this helps you. Zack

  • Professional Windows Vista crashes when you use Cisco VPN Client 5.05.0290

I have a Dell Latitude E6400 Windows Vista Business (32 bit) operating system. When I go to turn on the VPN client, I get invited to my username / password and once entered, the system just hangs. The only way to answer, it's a re-start. I took action:

    1 disabled UAC in Windows
2 tried an earlier version of the VPN client
    3. by the representative of Cisco, I put the application runs as an administrator

If there are any suggestions or similar stories, I would be grateful any offereings.

It IS the COMODO Firewall with the 5.0.x CISCO VPN client that causes the gel. The last update of COMODO has caused some incompatibility. I tried to install COMODO without the built in Zonealerm, but it is still frozen. The only way to solve it is to uninstall COMODOD. Since then, my CISCO VPN client works again...

  • Why the Windows Vista client gets the IP address of the Windows SBS 2011 as default DNS server?

I use Windows Vista on a client computer that is connected to our Windows Server SBS 2011 server. I don't want to use the DNS server on the local server and the DNS addresses are automatically collected on our router. Every time I have to restart my computer or disconnect / reconnect the connection to the local network, the default DNS server address is set back to static and has the IP address of the local server, which makes it much slower DNS specifications.

Can I disable this automatic update of address of DNS server somehow? In fact, I don't want to run a DNS server on the local server.

Thank you to inform in advance!

  • Cisco VPN Client Windows Vista blue screen

I use the Client version 5.0.07.0410 Cisco IPSec VPN. Installed on a Windows Vista operating system. Blue screen in Windows occurs after I entered the username and password. Anyone can shed some light on this? I know that Cisco works fine with XP and Windows 7, but had problems with Vista?

    Thank you

    Carlos

He probably has sth to do with firewall vpnclient (system32/c:\windows\system32\vsdata.dll, vsdatant.dll) into conflict with another firewall, installed on your vista PC. Killing probably vsdata (if it's there) will solve the problem.

  • What email client I am supposed to use Windows Vista?

I just got through to reinstall my Windows Vista and now you tell me I can't use Windows Live Mail or Windows Mail, so what am I supposed to use?

The two programs manage Hotmail, AKA Outlook.com.

I suggest you ask for help in the forum Outlook.com and include the complete error message you see on the manipulation is not Hotmail. If you can not copy & paste the error message into a message, take a screenshot and understand.

  • Outlook and Windows Vista Express 2003 on a Satellite A100-014

Anyone has the same problem I have?

When I try to reply to an e-mail message with outlook express on my computer with windows Vista Home Edition, if the email is originally an html formatted message, hit the reply button and start typing the message will just close the application.

    Hello

Maybe it will help if you reinstall outlook on your computer with this "Add/Remove Applications" in the properties of the system.
Another suggestion is that you update your version of Outlook. And if all else fails, then it s perhaps better to watch out for an another e-mail Client,
for example, Mozilla Thunderbird. I love Thunderbird, it s pretty fast, reliable and has many useful options.

    Welcome them

  • Windows Vista 64 not updated since September 2009! Error. 80070424

Recently, the research on different forums on the web that this one to try to solve the problem. Can't say I've found a lot of useful information. I tried a number of things like turn off some windows services, a windows program fixit and something to do with the BITS or something and nothing seems to work. I even tried to find the files needed to install manually and no chance and whenever I think I find a link on this maze of a Web site that looks like it could hold the key need you for this page which shows you just a picture of the start menu and the cursor during the update of windows. Not frickin useful! Just see a link to the left of the screen here leading to a thread with someone who has a similar problem and the adviser said he had to see the last 50 lines of the windowsupdate log to know what he is treated so here is mine.

  • Windows Vista update Changelog

Hi, I would like to know the changes made to windows on patch day operating systems, very little as a changelog, during software update. I'm the head for an access provider support technician, and I need to keep abreast of any changes that may occur in Microsoft operating systems. Right now I have a problem with a Vista machine where the ethernet port did not work yesterday morning (South African Standard Time) and this morning the ethernet port works fine. As a result, our client is very happy with us we have misdiagnosed the situation. So, basically, I want to know if he had made to the Windows Vista operating system updates and other updates that may occur. I understand that Microsoft releases patches every Tuesday (if necessary) and yesterday, Tuesday, February 15, 2011. Maybe there's an RSS feed of all updates from MS?

    Thank you

  • Windows Vista will not install updates.

I came across Best Buy, bought the first thing I have seen & to the left. It's just the small things. My main PC is myPC music recording studio (never online) so for my this, that I bought... I don't care.

a m9402f 7.00 GB 64-bit system quad-core 2.30 Ghz procesor.  On the 626 GB on the 'C' drive, I only used GB 129.  I don't know why I've bothered w/a Seagate external extreem HD 1000GO?  Works great, I've never used one before Vista but works very well.

Thus, recent updates do not keep install .  What's up with the updates? What is happening with this? Should I just go buy Windows 7?  I spend hours looking for solutions and never ask for help, but this time I am so tired so I'm going to ask.  Below are updates that keep a failure... Notice they're on SP2 * and IE8. My PC alread had installed SP2.  I tried an update for this.  I have switch from IE 7 to 8. I don't see any other reasons.

    Maybe I'm missing something?

A LOT of these updats were on UPDATE SP2 which was on my computer when I bought it, but they do not work...

Others have to do with the "compatibility issues" for 32-bit web sites.

.. and yes my stuff Adobe, Flash and Java are all kept up-to-date too.  Please keep in mind, I know how to get to these files support and update history and try to update manually and with each of them, the research questions and check forums, so I spend a lot of time doing this.  A lot of information is not new.

Speaking of a new VISTA user...  My C drive has a file that says "Program Files (x 86) and this is where I go for all.»  What is it? It was my first VISTA computer. So forgive me... I'll tell you something about the music industry, but forgive me this ignorance.   Other folders have programs in the files of "program" and identical named files... What is so special about this (X 86)... I'm in 64-bit and sometimes still in 32 bit? capacity?

My computer is compatible for Windows 7... should I go and buy and put an end to this? I could put it apart for just photo software stuff... Let me see it done 7 computers in the House.  sheeesh! Thank you... it's me now to lock up.

Hello, I run the servers at my work, and systems are 64-bit.  It would be just that sometimes your system needs to do things differently running 32-bit.  Not sure why they choose to divide them, but that's how it is on my servers.

    Follow these steps:

Personal data backup (which none should be considered 100% reliable at this point) then format the HARD disk and do a clean install of Windows.  Please note that a repair installation (upgrade AKA on-site) won't fix this!

Once installed the clean, you will have the equivalent of a "new computer" in order to take care of everything on the page following before otherwise connect the machine to a network or the internet and before using a flash drive or the SD card that is not brand new, or has not been freshly formatted:

NB: Any Norton or McAfee free trial which is preinstalled on the computer when you bought will be reinstalled (but invalid) when Windows is reinstalled. You MUST uninstall the trial for free and download/run the removal tool before installing updates, Windows Service Packs, or updates IE and before installing your new anti-virus application.

    Acer
If you buy your Acer system at an online retailer or a store, the policy is the same. Customers with eligible systems should go to the Acer upgrade page, where you will have gone through the process. It helps to have the serial number of your system available. He is a 22-digit number. For laptops, the serial number is located on the bottom. There will be a white label with 22 characters starting with "LX." For desktop computers, serial number is usually located on the right side, at the bottom of the side panel. There will be a white label with a 22 character S/N: starting with "PS" or "PT". After ordering, the upgrade kit will be sent to customers.

    ASUS
ASUS customers with eligible systems may request their update on the Web site. It's a good idea to have the serial number of your system available. Customers with a laptop EeePC can find their serial number on a label at the base of the system. It is listed under the barcode after the letters "SN". Customers with other models of laptop ASUS may also find the sticker at the base of their systems. The serial number will be 10 or 15 characters and be preceded by the letters "SN". For desktop computers, the tile should be on the side or the back of the system, with the 12-digit alphanumeric (letter and number) code is right under the code upper bar (are there two) on the sticker.

    Reference Dell
According to Dell, it does not matter if you bought your system directly from the company or from another retailer (such as Best Buy or Staples), as long as you bought it within the above period. Eligible Dell customers with a system should go to the Dell site to save their system. The site will guide you in the process. It's a good idea to note the name of the model of your system as well as your office or serial number of the laptop. It's a unique five digit alphanumeric (letter and number) code that you find on a white label with bar code on your Dell computer. For desktop computers, the label located on the back or on the side panel. For laptops, the label located on the bottom of the system. After recording with success your system, Dell will send you a DVD of Windows 7 to install. The site also includes a section on frequently asked questions.

    eMachines
Customers with eligible systems (that is purchased from a retailer online or in a store) should go to upgrade eMachines website, where you will have gone through the process. It helps to have the serial number of your system available. As Acer systems (since eMachines is owned by Acer), he is a 22-digit number. For laptops, the serial number is located on the bottom. There will be a white label with 22 characters starting with "LX." For desktop computers, serial number is usually located on the right side, at the bottom of the side panel.
