WinXP & company firewall/Proxy: why keep my account is deactivated?

I work in a large corporate network environment, but my problem is not important enough for our company for assistance troubleshooting so I thought that I should reach out to the community for help.

We have a standard Office corporate WinXP + SP3 and an Active Directory environment. To access the public Internet, a user must be a member of an Active Directory group, allowing it. The company also is Internet Explorer 8. It must also pass through a server proxy and firewall to access the public Internet.

MY PROBLEM:

  • In the course of a day, I open Internet Explorer 8 and many other applications to do my job (Outlook, Winword, etc.). If I do not use Internet Explorer for a long period of time (an hour or more) then come back to use it (a Google search for example) I find that my Windows account has been disabled. Then, I need technical support to unlock my account to return to work. This has happened 5 times in one day once.

I guess that something is trying to access a public Web site and I'm disabled because too many attempts to go through our firewall... but I can't isolate to prove.

Can someone suggest how to solve this problem. Alternatively, provide a better place to ask this question?

    It is possible that you have a problem with some Add on Firefox which is an obstacle to the normal behavior of your Firefox. Have you tried to disable all add-ons (just to see) to see if Firefox goes back to normal?

    Whenever you have a problem with Firefox, whatever it is, you must make sure that it is not caused by one (or more) of your installed modules, whether an extension, a theme or a plugin. To do this easily and cleanly, start Firefox in safe mode (remember to select disable all add-ons when you start safe mode). If the problem goes away, you know that it's an add-on. Disable them all in normal mode and allow them one by one until you find the source of the problem. See this article for more information on troubleshooting extensions and theme and this one for plugins.

    I want to access vpn through firewall/proxy (Client VPN) client-side.

    I installed the vpn gateway as firewall pix 515 using Microsoft CA IKE SA.

    I want to establish the vpn tunnel to my vpn through a proxy/firewall client.

    I tried in some places of vpn client where the firewall acts as a linux machine in which he allowed with the ipsec and NAT esp feature. Its works perfectly. But only one concurrent vpn client. Also the first tunnel vpn disconnects when the second user tries without knowing the first established tunnel.

    I heard that we can drive this problem using "NAT Taversal" mode which is available in version ios 6.3 as concentrator 3000 Cisco pix.

    I want to know how NAT Traversal can solve my problem in which multiple concurrent users without support nat esp in a configuration only one simultaneous user without support nat esp in a configuration of firewall/proxy or firewall/proxy.

    The VPN client is able to detect that he's been through a NAT/PAT device on the way to the hub/PIX, and then if both ends support it, they will automatically start NAT - T and encapsulate the IPSec packets in UDP port 4500 packets. These can then be NAT would properly and you will not get disconnections or problems you currently see.

    You don't see that a client can connect and customers being disconnected when the other connects it is your PAT instrument cannot process the ISAKMP and IPSec packets correctly. It is a fairly common symptom.

    PIX v6.3 code will support NAT - T, should be available in March sometime.

    I had a connection problem, but was able to connect.  but checking my user accounts I see 4 are rated comments which is invited group homegroupuser$ group homeusers my account from microsoft which is listed twice once for homeusers group then for homeusers administors I am the only person using this pc and I put in to not no need to open a session, but I wonder why my microsoft account is listed twice?  and the password is the same thing for my user name and my email address?  and I would be better of just using a local account instead of signing with microsoft account? or that would ruin the app updates?  I want to mention I have only 1 account and he is an administrator, set up.  the info, I am referring to are when I type in netplwiz so I can put the pc to get the login screen.

    Do not modify or delete all accounts.  If you want to configure auto-connect, simply do it alone and not to touch anything else there.

    Unfortunately there is no option to change credit card, paypal or vice versa.

    If you want to change your payment information, you will need to cancel the subscription and buy a new subscription with a different payment option.

    Most of us in these user forums is all just other users like you, so we can't really answer for Adobe. If you look at your Adobe account, it lists the software licenses you have? Check the use-by dates. If any of them are on or around the time of next year, which could be the culprit.

  • Creative cloud (large company) firewall issues

    Creative cloud allows working wonderfully here until the last update. Now I can not connect via the desktop application or within programs. The only time I can connect is when I am outside of our network of the company. We asked HE take a look at this, but it is VERY IMPROBABLE that will make adjustments in this great infrastructure for those of us unlucky enough to use creative cloud. That's happened? What has changed the Adobe to cause this adjustment of firewall on our end? The cloud has become practically useless at work now for me.

    Ditto for me.  I am so absolutely no chance to get it change anything in a bank.  And they will not hang on the phone/chat to chat with everyone.

    Avant-nuage I knew maybe 10 people using Adobe products in the company.  Now, I think that there are 2 of us.  We survive only because we have laptops.  Can install the software on the laptop but take home (outside of the corporate network) only to turn it on.

    Within the company, I can download the software, I can access my account and confirm, I have a subscription, but could not get these two pieces to recognize each other.

    In a previous thread a response suggested examining the doco for enterprise deployment.  But we're not talking business.  I'm in a company of 40,000 +.   Not go to those (or none) to get running.  And to be frank, the most logical response when Adobe cannot get a copy of their software to run in my office doesn't mean not the installation of copies much more.

    I guess you want to keep your cookies but not your history. You can select what is removed when you close Firefox in Options > privacy > select "use the custom settings for history". Once you have finished, click on 'Settings' in front "Clear history of Firefox closing" and uncheck the box 'Cookies' and 'Site Préférences'.

  • Firewall Windows settings keep changing ~ I don't change them! HELP Please

    Recently, I noticed that to change my Windows Firewall settings, AND I'm not modify them.

    I set the Windows Firewall as follows:

    1. on the "Général" tab
    I ticked the boxes: 'On' (recommended) and "don't allow exceptions".
    2. in the tab 'Exceptions ':
    NO boxes are checked
    I ticked 'display a notification when Windows Firewall blocks a program '.
    3. on the "Advanced" tab
    ONLY "Connection to the Local network" is checked
    and under the 'Settings' button ICMP NO boxes are checked.

    Periodically, I notice that my "Network Icon" (two screens) is very active when I'm not navigate on the internet or by e-mail.  When I click with the right button on the icon and select "Change Windows Firewall settings", I note that the following changes have been made to my original settings, BUT NOT BY me!

    1. on the "Général" tab
    The box: 'On' (recommended) is checked
    BUT "don't allow exceptions" is now disabled
    2. in the tab 'Exceptions ':
    File sharing and printer is enabled
    AND "Display a notification when Windows Firewall blocks a program" is now disabled
    3. on the "Advanced" tab
    If I click on the box 'Connect to the Local network' that is always checked
    under ICMP, and go to the "Settings" button
    NOW, the first "Allow an incoming echo request" is checked.

    Earlier this week, I hadn't double checked if the parameters have changed and started printing a Word document, I had been editing.  Before the start of my print file, my printer started to print pages and pages of garbled text (just the letters and not readable ~ grabage).  After the cancellation of all the print jobs, I checked the Windows Firewall settings again, and they had been changed from the original settings that I had chosen, once again!

    The only way I can restore my original settings is to click on the default button on the tab "Advanced" and then double-checking the options I want.

    This happens at least 8 times a day and makes me crazy, because I am constantly having to check if the Windows Firewall settings are as I put them in the first place.  If they are not, I have to go through this process over and over again.  By making print a nightmare, but it's also annoying to have to keep control of the settings.

    Ask everything you big strong guys out there to give this 'small' a helping hand technique with this one, please.
